  1. I have several Hume holsters and two of their belts. Very happy with all of them and they have all held up well, especially the belts. I order most of mine from gunnersalley.com.

    Bump?

And is considered bad form in most forums. If a thread can't survive on it's own, it needs to die....
  3. I've never needed either one.
  4. Did you buy it?
  5. Bud's had them on sale a while back for $439, which is when I bought my M&P9c. The M&P's are awesome weapons.
  6. I've never carried a G30, so I can't compare the two, but I can tell you that the Kimber Ultra is probably the most comfortable weapon to carry that I own.

    S&W .40 Sigma

Wouldn't one have to have owned both and tested both before one made the assertion that one weapon was either more or less reliable than the other?

    S&W .40 Sigma

I have the SW9VE and I think it's a good weapon for the money. It's very reliable, and after getting used to the trigger I'm just as accurate with it as I am with any of my carry weapons. I would trust my life to it. That said, my next purchase will more than likely be a Glock.
  9. If you haven't already done it, call S&W and ask them about the mag extensions, they will more than likely send them to you for free. That's how I got mine. And I agree; the M&P9c is one of my favorite carry weapons.
  10. The entitlement attitude at work...
  11. Would love to hear a self-defense attorney's take on all this.
  12. Not worth the money. You're better off with some good 230 gr JHP. I'd even trust WWB before I'd trust any type of frangible ammo.
  13. Add me to the list of SP101 fans - love my 2-1/4" and carry it frequently in a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake holster.
  14. Bill Maher is a fool and proves it every time he opens his mouth. He is a shining example of the extreme hypocrisy of the left.
  15. The objective of self-defense should be stopping the threat, not making as many holes as you can. Everything I've read indicates that the JHP is a much more effective fight-stopper than the FMJ round.
  16. For that kind of money, I'm going with a trusted name like SA or Colt, or even save a few hundred more and get a real custom 1911.
  17. He asked for opinions, I gave him mine. Besides, what part of what I said wasn't true? I never said he didn't have the right to draw his weapon; you're trying to put words in my mouth. But, seriously, a handgun against a speeding mass of metal? Give me a break. And, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks, I don't think I'm the only one who does anything right. I just know what I would and wouldn't do in certain situations, because I have thought about it beforehand and decided what my response will be. I realize that might be threatening to those who haven't. Wow, some folks need to toughen up a little.
  18. Shooting at a moving target? Are you kidding me? Unless you are really THAT good of a shot UNDER EXTREME STRESS and you were 100% certain of what was behind your target, then you had no business unholstering your weapon.
  19. Which ones have you tested exactly and what were the conditions? Were you shooting water jugs, or ballistic gels, or some other material?
  20. 230 gr FMJ is fine for target shooting, but there's no way I would use it for personal protection unless there was nothing else available. No expansion, and you run the risk of over penetration. You want expansion in a service caliber SD round.
  21. I have an old Dixon 429 ZTR that i bought new in '91 to mow 2.5 acres. I have no idea how many hours are on the Kohler 14 hp engine. It still runs, but the right side transmission is on it's way out and I'm wondering what I can do with it. I don't want to pay $1000 to have it fixed when it's not even worth that much. I don't see anyone wanting to buy it unless they wanted it for parts or as a DIY project. Neither do I know where to take it if I just wanted to get rid of it. Anyone have a suggestion?
  22. I wasn't either. Had my permit for years before it ever occurred to me. When I realized that "trouble doesn't make an appointment", that's when I became convicted. It was very strange at first, but now is second nature to me and I actually feel somewhat "naked" when I am unarmed. I carry everywhere I go, except to work, where it is prohibited.
  23. Good letter and I applaud your effort to educate the uneducated.
  24. I tend to agree with the statement that LEOs are better trained than the average gun owner, but not as well as the average citizen with a HCP.
  25. Sorry for the small photo. Primary: Kimber Ultra Carry in a Crossbreed Supertuck or handmade leather OWB holster, 230 gr JHP Federal Hydrashoks with two reloads (Wilderness Safepacker for the car) BUG: S&W 442 in a handmade pocket holster, 130 gr +P Hornady JHPs with two reloads Kershaw Chive Streamlight Micro
