  1. The county commission votes on this resolution June 14 at the Williamson County Complex in Franklin. I have written each member of the commission and given them my thoughts on the matter. I have been asked by one of my commissioners to attend the meeting and speak during the citizen's portion. I don't know if I will speak or not but I will attend the meeting. If I do decide to speak I would appreciate some help from some of you in compiling my remarks.
  2. Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake holster - $45 plus shipping. http://www.simplyrugged.com/store/index.html I have one for mine; it works great with a good gun belt. Rob makes excellent holsters.

    Plinker revolver

I don't have one, but have shot a Ruger Single Six in both .22lr and .22 wmr. If I were going to buy one to use as a plinker and just a fun shooter, that would be it.
  5. Unfortunately, there is not an intelligence test required to obtain a HCP in TN. But I'm curious; how much knowledge about shooting do you consider "a decent amount"? When I took my HCP class over 12 years ago, I knew very little about firearms except what my dad had taught me when I was little, which was basically to never point a gun at anything you didn't intend to destroy. So I made it a point to listen to everything the instructor said, which gave me the basics to build on. I have since read almost everything I can get my hands on since then and practice as often as time and money will allow. From what I've learned in the past couple of years, there are some LEOs who really shouldn't be carrying a firearm as they know so little about them.

    Phoenix Arms HP22A?

Depends on what you want it for. I have an HP22 that I bought on a whim, and I've never had any trouble with it. It is actually a fun little plinker. They are something of a pain to clean, so I don't do it very often. The best thing about it is that I can stick it in my back pocket when I am out in the back yard. Can't do that with the Ruger, but if you are looking for quality and accuracy, go with the Ruger. The HP22 is made pretty much from pot metal, just like the Hi Points.

    Ruger LCR KaBoom

I'm just glad no one was injured. Makes me want to give my 442 a big hug...
  8. They have lifted the one box per customer rule at the WM in Cool Springs. Last time I was there I could have bought everything on the shelf had I had the funds...
  9. I think this is an urban legend. The two clues are: 1. THIS IS NOT A JOKE NOR A FALSE WARNING. 2. Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed. This is a very serious matter! Silence will lead us to Socialism!!! Sensationalism and overstatement don't lend credibility to the information.
  10. Yep..... what he said.

    New M&P9c Carry

Congrats on your find. Sometimes you have to jump on it while it's available. My M&P9c is currently my EDC, and I just bought its big brother, the 45 compact. Might we see pics?
  12. The Mexican El Presidente has my permission to go perform an impossible act on himself.
  13. I have yet to see any anti-gun article that relates to being able to carry a firearm into a place that serves alcohol mention that it has not been a problem in states that have already passed same or similar legislation.
  14. Try to go with a service caliber weapon if you possibly can. From what I have read and have been told, the PF-9 is one of the more reliable Kel Tecs.
  15. I don't like the way it's worded. It makes no reference to law-abiding citizens with permits carrying firearms into restaurants that serve alcohol, nor does it say anything about the fact that the law will prohibit anyone carrying a firearm from drinking. They make it sound like anyone will be able to carry into a bar.
  16. From everything I've read, I see no advantage to the Serpa unless you are actually OCing or at the range.
  17. The vast majority of the time, I carry OWB under an untucked shirt. That is NOT open carry.
  18. Well, the poll results so far don't surprise me at all. When you consider that it's very likely that most Memphis inhabitants are getting some sort of government assistance and want something for nothing, therefore liberal in their views, this poll isn't shocking at all. These are the same people who actually believe the police will arrive in time to stop the crime.
  19. Ignoramuses are for ignoring.
  20. I see someone has a couple of Sig Saurers...
  21. Just got the 2.1 Android upgrade on my HTC Eris. They finally added the Navigator app (GPS) that was promised when the Eris first came out. Other Apps I really find useful/interesting are: Google Sky Map - uses your GPS location to map the night sky and display all visible constellations Google Maps - self explanatory Fox News Widget - shows most recent news headline Tip Calc - calculates tip for one or more people
  22. +1. There is just no reason not to.
  23. Nice work. Are you going to offer your services to TGO members?
  24. Well, let's just say that I were in a bank and he came walking in OCing, with that look on his face, I'd finish my business quickly and head for the door.
