  1. Ban passed, 19-5. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100614/WILLIAMSON01/100614085/Williamson+County+imposes+permanent+ban+on+guns+in+parks Wonder if we can opt out of paying taxes to pay for county parks?
  2. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!
  3. We'll get past that mentality when political correctness dies.
  4. Doesn't count unless he apologized to the students personally. And then he should have to wash their cars for a month. What would have happened if it was a conservative Republican who did this to a couple of liberal students? The liberal media would not have forgiven him, apology or not, and he would have been run out of office.
  5. Had the representative put his hands on a trained martial artist he would very likely have been looking up at the sky and in a wrist lock with a shoe on his throat.
  6. I like it. I would personally like to see signs that expressly state "We support legal carry of firearms" or "HCP Welcome" or something that makes it crystal clear that we are welcome. Thank you for supporting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms!
  7. I have one of the Ace Case belly bands and like the way the gun completely disappears under a shirt.
  8. Well, now, you're assuming that the 1st Amendment still applies to angry conservative white males who "cling to their religion and their guns"...

  10. If you can find one, a Phoenix Arms HP22 semi auto goes for about $150.
  11. So far, I have heard from three of the Board members. Two of them have been very kind and professional, although I believe there is some confusion about certain sections of the TCA regarding this issue. This is the sneering reply I got from School Board Member Barry Watkins: "I would respectfully suggest that if you feel the need to be armed for self-protection in Williamson County parks that you avoid them." He is just one example of a grossly misinformed, ignorant, elected county official who needs to be "unelected".
  12. I just read in the Tennessean that the Williamson County School Board has unanimously passed a resolution in favor of upholding the current ban on carrying firearms in county parks: Williamson County School Board supports gun ban | tennessean.com | The Tennessean I sent an email to each and every member of the Board expressing my disappointment that they could be so irresponsible and ignorant. Decisions like this are based on nothing but irrational fear. If you live in Williamson County, please tell the School Board what you think!
  13. Yes, you are absolutely correct. I just failed to include that little bit of information. Thanks -
  14. The dumbing down of America continues. Schools are not the place to be teaching radical leftist political activism. Besides, not one person has been able to cite specifically what is "racist" and "outrageous" about the AZ law. They just "think" it's so, including the empty suit in the White House. Mexican revolution, eh? Two words: Bring it...
  15. I will never understand why someone fears a law-abiding citizen more than a criminal. Whenever I attend worship, I am carrying. I believe God helps those who help themselves. All I ask is that He gives me a steady aim if I am ever called upon to defend myself or someone else, whether in His house or not.
  16. I actually like it when guys try and pick out a gun for their wives/gf's, since it seems that more times than not it ends up back at the local gun shop at a good price. That's how I found my SP101. A husband with good intentions thought he would buy it for his wife for her to carry. She had other plans (had no intention of carrying a gun) and made him sell it, so I found it and got a good deal on it.
  17. Got news for you, chief. The anti-gun lunatics think that you, me, and anyone else who carries a gun for self protection has an itchy trigger finger and are just looking for a reason to kill someone. Just because someone thinks it doesn't make it so.
  18. Sorry to be anal, but it's Peta, not Petra: Peta Wilson
  19. ROFL!! What resources?? Bring it, El Presidente!!!
  20. As someone pointed out to me recently, you can fire a wheelgun from inside a pocket without it jamming. Not so much with a semi-auto.
  21. While not a one-issue voter, where the candidate stands on the 2nd pretty much tells me where he/she stands on the rest. Not always, but most of the time.
  22. Depends; do you want a single clip style, dual clips or leather belt loops? Also, do you want Kydex or leather?
  23. That's the best answer so far, IMHO. And, the .38 will give her superior firepower over the .380, especially if she can manage the recoil on +P loads.
