Not as often as I would like. I'm lucky if I can get to the range a couple of times a month. When I do, I'm concentrating on technique, and not how many rounds I'm putting downrange.

Several years ago I took my family to Gulf Shores. I wasn't carrying at the time, but I did have my permit and wanted to have my gun in the car. At the time, we did not have reciprocity with AL, so before we left TN I called the GSPD and spoke to an officer there. I explained to him what my intentions were and he told me that it wouldn't be a problem. Again, that was several years ago, and they were cool with me having my weapon in the car. I would say that as long as you carry concealed, you shouldn't have any problems. Just know where you can and can't carry legally.

I put it on yesterday when I got home and wore it till I went to bed. Very comfortable at 4:00, and I know it will get more comfortable with time and break-in. It was worth the wait. One thing that surprised me was the size. I was expecting it to be rather large (like the kholsters and crossbreeds), but it is MUCH smaller, which I like very much. I had some concerns about leather thickness, and the ability to wear it IWB, but those all went away yesterday. The weapon absolutely disappears under a normal untucked T shirt, as in NO printing whatsoever. All in all, I'm very pleased with it and recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for a relatively inexpensive custom holster that can be worn IWB or OWB.

As with any new semi-auto, I would also run 50 rounds or so of whatever ammo she plans to carry in it (after basic break-in) to make sure it runs well. I'd much rather find out about problems with certain ammo at the range, and not when I really needed it to perform.

My new Defender for my M&P45c - arrived in the mail yesterday. This is my first custom leather holster. As you can see, craftsmanship is excellent. I'm excited about breaking it in over the next few days.

You can't renew it online as the application has to be completed, and as much as I would like to think that the State of TN has advanced enough technologically to put the application online, they have not. You either have to go to a DL Testing Station or call and ask them to send you an application, which you can mail back with your check. I chose the former and was in and out in 15 minutes.
