  1. How long ago?
  2. Oh, man - that's just NASTY!!
  3. They way I figure it - eternity is THE one thing I don't want to be wrong about. I've also been told that hell never fills up.
  4. I was quoting the great philosopher Biff. One of my other favorites is "Why don't you make like a tree, and getouttaheeere!!!"
  5. Whadda you lookin' at, BUTTHEAD??
  6. Took the CIS Advanced Concealed Carry course today! It was excellent!!
  7. Many PD's issue .40 cal. weapons, so it obviously is an effective round. So, no, it is not useless. I would prefer a rifle over ANY handgun if I needed the most effective weapon, but they're too hard to carry. I personally prefer 9mm and .45 in a semi-auto, but that's simply my preference.

    Is it just me?

It's always interesting to me how personally some folks take comments in here, as though you just slapped their mother.

    Boy Scouts

As a former Asst Scoutmaster and Woodbadger myself (Bears!), I've never known a scout troop to turn down donated equipment. I have some myself that I need to get rid of. Thanks for the reminder that we need to support local troops with either time, money, or donated equipment.
  10. I'll leave the tricks to the pros, I just want to learn how to keep the thing in the air.
  11. Anyone like to fly these? I just bought one about a month ago and have already crashed it. Now I'm taking it in small steps to get the hang of it.
  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Uh-huh. THIS.
  13. Boneless chicken breasts on the grill - half of them marinated in Dale's Seasoning, the rest marinated in teriyaki. I like choices. Southern style green beans and sliced red skin potatoes brushed with olive oil and baked to perfection. Fresh fruit for dessert. I'm watching my girlish figure.

    Is it just me?

    I've shot a .40 cal. That's why I don't own one.
  15. When you say "modified", do you mean the hammers have been bobbed? If so, it seems like it wouldn't take much to replace them. I've never done it myself. But for carry, a DAO revolver might work in your favor if you ever had to use it for self-defense, depending on whether or not an ambitious D.A. decided to go after you. Just my .02.
  16. Almost the entire 90 days for me, so if it takes anyone any less time, I'll feel cheated. I did get my renewal in the mail today; took less than a month. I was shocked.
  17. I have a HP22 that I bought on impulse when I bought my Ruger SP101. It's turned out to be a nice little plinker. I stick it in my back pocket when I am out in the yard and if I see something I want to shoot at, I do. I've never had a problem with it.
  18. That's exactly what I did in July. My permit expires in Dec.
  19. I've seen some things that look even dumber.

    GunsAmerica.com

I have a Bersa UC9 I bought through GunsAmerica. No problems at all.
  21. I didn't know Sam's would allow open carry. I've always heard that they will ask you to either disarm or conceal it. You know, as not to scare the sheep.
  22. Well it IS Franklin...
  23. I use On Target in Murfreesboro. Never had to wait and there are usually no more than 3-4 people there. Cost is $20 all day for the first person and $10 for a second person if you are going to share a lane. No time limit.
  24. Because of its design, the 1911 is probably the MOST concealable full-size handgun. With the right belt, holster, and clothing, there's no reason you can't make it disappear.
  25. The good news is that just about every holster maker makes one for any size 1911, so the choices are almost unlimited. The bad news is that just about every holster maker makes one for any size 1911, so the choices are almost unlimited. I don't have a Milt Sparks, but I've heard consistently that the Versa Max II is about the finest leather holster you can buy, but the wait is long and it's more money than I care to spend.
