  1. I have Crossbreeds and Kholsters. In the summer, I wear them without anything between the leather and my skin, and they have never been uncomfortable.

    Back-up guns

'Couldn't agree more. I've never understood why anyone would want one of those over a good quality holster.
  3. If threats were made, then yes, you need to call the law and at least file a report. I'd keep my cell phone or some kind of video recording device handy at all times. It will help build your case should you have a repeat occurrence.
  4. I own a M&P 9c and it's one of my best shooters. Easy to carry and conceal in a pancake or IWB holster. I know of some who carry it in an ankle holster. If you are a fan of the .45, you might also want to look at the M&P 45c as well. I have one that is my EDC and it is one of my favorites.
  5. It's never happened with any of mine...
  6. When I'm not at work, I carry 100% of the time (except when I'm sleeping, and then it's within arm's reach).
  7. Still like this one:
  8. How about a photo!!!
  9. I'm also hoping to do that backpacking trip with my son that we had to postpone from last year...

    Cheekwood

We plan on getting there by 5, but were going to stay till it gets dark so we can see it at night as well. Thanks for the heads up about the crowd. Hopefully we won't have any rain to deal with.
  11. I approve this message.

    Cheekwood

Thanks, I'll be sure and take my Streamlight with me.

    Cheekwood

Taking the wife to Cheekwood Friday night to see the Chihuly exhibit. Never been there before. Anyone know whether or not it's posted?

    NBC Shows

It doesn't just suck, it sucks potty water.
  15. Good. If they can capture us on video, we should be able to do the same to them.
  16. Here's one recommendation no one has given - when looking for a carry weapon, never take the word of someone who stands to benefit financially from recommending one particular firearm over another. If they are willing to let you decide for yourself without trying to steer you to what they think you should have, then they probably have your personal safety in mind, and not meeting a quota.
  17. I get much more out of practicing tactical drills at home over shooting holes in paper, and it's much cheaper. I do need to spend some time on failure drills, however.
  18. S&W M&P9c in a Simply Rugged Cuda. You can outfit it with the detachable belt loops so you can carry either IWB or OWB. Leather gun holster, concealed carry holster - Simply Rugged Holsters? - Proudly made in the USA Load it with 12+1 rounds of 147 gr Federal HST or other quality JHP and you will be well-protected.
  19. I don't go into what I consider "high risk" areas, but if I did, I'd carry both.
  20. If we didn't have tragic accounts such as the Costco shooting in Las Vegas involving Erik Scott (coroner's inquest continues today, I believe), I would be hesitant to say that there is a small part of the LEO community who is violating the constitutional rights of the citizenry. Unfortunately, there are many accounts surfacing on YouTube that are starting to make me uneasy and distrustful.
  21. +1. A good gun belt makes all the difference. The only full size handgun I own is a Browning Hi Power. I have a hand made leather OWB holster that I can carry it in and conceal with no problem.
  22. I tend to agree; case-by-case basis seems to be appropriate.

    Auction prices

Did someone actually bid those prices or were those starting bids?
  24. The rest of my chicken chimichanga I got from Oscar's Taco Shop in Franklin last night. Outstanding!
  25. Really showing my age here. Best show I ever saw was August Jam in Charlotte, NC in 1974. I was 19 years old. The show started at 10am on a Sat morning and went into the wee hours Sun Morning. Allman Brothers, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Black Oak Arkansas, Foghat, Ozark Mtn Daredevils, Marshall Tucker Band, PFM were the prominent acts. Drove there from Orlando, FL with three buddies and got right in the middle of the infield. Set up a tent and had an amazing view of the stage. I saw things that I had never seen before, like girls running around topless. ELP left a lasting impression on me. Their stage tricks were unmatched by anyone else, and there was a fireworks show at the end that would put anyone else's to shame.
