  1. IF Walmart chose to post as a result of this, it would just give me one more reason to buy online.
  2. Sorry, I just don't see the need for a manual safety on any DAO weapon. If I had a Glock, I certainly wouldn't screw it up with one of these.
  3. Don't expect to hit it the first time. We all have the "box 'o holsters". You will have to try several before you find what works for you. And even then, I am still looking for the perfect one. And, a good thick belt makes all the difference when carrying on the waist. I have tried these with good success for belt carry: Crossbreed Supertuck K&D Thunderbird Defender Don Hume 721OT
  4. Nowhere did I say that I believe the .45 ACP provides a "one-shot kill". In fact, I don't believe any caliber produces a "one-shot kill", unless you get extremely lucky. I just believe in using the best tool for the job that's available and practical. A hammer is a good tool, but it's inadequate if you want to drive a post in the ground.
  5. Excellent! Nothing says "Stop what you're doing" to the bad guy like several .45 ACP rounds.
  6. I don't carry a .380, but I keep hearing people talk about it being a "get off me" gun. If that's what it's for, then that means you would use it if someone were on top of you. Do you really want to have to fumble with a decocker/manual safety? IF I were to carry one of these, it would be the last option to a .45 and a .38 as a BUG, and then for the express purpose of sticking it in the guys gut and emptying the mag. Even then, I'm not sure what effect it would have.
  7. I think you'd have more support for this than you think.....
  8. I didn't say they were bribed. Those were your words. I NEVER believe gun rags. Just sayin'....
  9. Gee, I wonder how much Taurus paid AR in advertising fees.....
  10. I have not been overly impressed with the Kholster. As far as hybrids are concerned, I like the Crossbreed Supertuck myself, and the PX4 Sub is on their weapons list. I have one for my Bersa UC9 and my 1911. Very comfy and the weapon fit on both is as it is supposed to be.
  11. That was excellent reading.
  12. Having my midlife crisis I guess. I have a '96 VW Jetta in excellent condition that I would like to make some subtle changes to to get a few more horses out of it for no other reason than to make it more fun to drive. Don't want to spend a fortune on it, however.
  13. Where's the best places in Middle TN or online to buy performance auto parts?
  14. In the second video, the campus police lieutenant looks down her nose at people with HCPs as "untrained". Guess she doesn't get the whole "first responder" idea. You can email her at: emilym@utk.edu Lieutenant, YOU are part of the problem.
  15. Let's remove the carbine from the equation. What's to stop this judge (or any judge for that matter) from issuing the same ruling just for carrying your Glock openly (even though it's legal)?
  16. Now 67% to 33%
  17. I understand the point of this, but the thought that a judge could order a mental health evaluation on someone AND have their weapon confiscated because they were open-carrying is rather unnerving to me.
  18. These places were not posted when my wife and I were there last Fall: Pancake Pantry (G) Mel's Diner (PF) Texas Roadhouse (PF) Apple Barn (PF)

    Hiking Pistola?

Yeah, that's how I carry too, but wearing a scout uniform kinda complicates it.
  20. I think I'd rather set myself on fire than set foot in that place. Besides, I heard he was trying to unload it on someone else.

    Hiking Pistola?

Well, I think that's the key. When I was a scout leader, I wasn't carrying, but had I been, I think I would've gone the deep concealment route with a belly band or smart carry or something similar.
  22. Some people have entirely too much time on their hands.
