  1. Well, I thought so too. Seems like I had more to say about it. Good thing I didn't sign a contract, huh?
  2. Let's see if I understand this correctly... Commiefornia allows unloaded weapons to be displayed openly. People do exactly that by open carrying. Police hassle people obeying the law and carrying unloaded weapons openly. Police decide they are a menace to the public because they are "scaring" people. So Commiefornia punishes law-abiding citizens who legally open carry their unloaded weapons by banning open carry. Did I get that right?
  3. I haven't seen it, but it sounds like every other so-called "reality" show. Not much reality to it.
  4. Grow up.
  5. Well, gee golly whiz, then I guess I don't give a rat's hiney whether you have to breathe my exhaust or not or whether you like or don't like the way I pass you. But I'll keep showing respect to the ones who don't act as though they have MORE right to be on the road than I do. Fair enough? And if you're speaking for most cyclists, then I guess I'm justified in how I regard most of them when they don't bother to ride single file when I'm trying to get around them or disobeying other rules of the road.
  6. I don't disagree with that at all. But the fact that they are should be enough reason to stay off the highway if you're not in a motor vehicle.
  7. I keep seeing a lot of whining about how dangerous it is for bicyclists on the road, and I'm not disputing that. SO DON'T RIDE ON THE ROAD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A STATISTIC!! Geez, guys, what's hard about it?
  8. Let me repeat it: The fact remains, if you don't want to compete with rude drivers, don't ride on busy roads. The rude drivers aren't going away. It's not a hard concept.
  9. Oh, great logic. I'm not trying to decide anything for anyone any more than you are by telling me to "just stay home". I wouldn't even want to be able to decide for you or anyone else. I have enough trouble running my own life. You guys are just proving my point about some cyclists being overly sensitive. Not all, but more than a few. The fact remains, if you don't want to compete with rude drivers, don't ride on busy roads. The rude drivers aren't going away. Oh, and BTW, I give riders their 3 feet and I don't zoom by so they have to breathe my exhaust (even though they're breathing it whether I do it or not). Doesn't mean I have to like it.
  10. If people were truly as concerned for their lives as they claim, they wouldn't ride on a busy highway, competing with 4-ton vehicles. Sorry, I don't buy it.
  11. Oh, yeah, THAT'S it, alright. Those of us who don't are just so jealous of those of you who do. I've seen plenty of overweight bicyclists, so either they're just starting out, or it's not doing them a whole lot of good. For the record, I used to ride before traffic got so bad in Williamson County. The last time I rode was with my cousin, and we took off from his house onto a busy road with no shoulder. Scared the out of me and I realized I had no business on the road with 3-4 ton vehicles whizzing past me within inches. I have never had my bike on a highway since then. Nowadays I get my exercise by walking a couple of miles 4-5 days a week on the sidewalk. Of course, it also might have something to do with sailing through the air lengthwise over a car after being hit head-on by a drunk driver while riding my motorcycle home one night when I was young and stupid. I don't ride motorcycles anymore either. Neither is worth the risk to me anymore. I am no good to my family's financial security paralyzed or dead.
  12. Don't be stupid. I am perfectly able to grasp that. I don't wish anyone any harm, but in my experience, it's those of us in the automobiles who are expected to share the road, and not the other way around. I'm done with this.
  13. Therein lies the problem.
  14. Oh, well, let me rephrase that then, since some here seem to be so thin-skinned about it. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings... Anyone who is stupid enough to ride a bicycle on a busy thoroughfare with no shoulder where automobiles are traveling fast enough to maim or kill someone because the driver is distracted by his or her cell phone or radio or whatever is asking for it. Is that an untrue statement?
  15. In addition to lack of common courtesy and inability to observe traffic laws, apparently some (notice I didn't say all) bicyclists have no sense of humor either.
  16. I'm not sure why your rant is directed at me, but in Williamson County? You'd be amazed. They're everywhere. My wife will tell you the same thing, and she is the most long suffering person I know. Whiney ass? Not by a long shot.
  17. No one's challenging their right to use the roadways. But many of the cyclists I've encountered seem to lack common courtesy, not to mention the way many of them just ignore traffic laws. I've seen many cyclists who just flat out deserve to get hit.
  18. Got a friend from another forum who lives in Orlando and agrees with you on the crime thing. He has had to draw his weapon several times. Never had to fire, but has had to clear leather. I used to live in Kissimmee/Orlando back in the mid-seventies and it was an entirely different place then. I have no desire to ever go there again. Stay safe.
  19. I have no problem with bicyclists, but it is irritating when they disrupt traffic. Like we don't already have enough traffic problems in the U.S.
  20. Actually, you have plenty to worry about. You just don't know it yet.
  21. Oh, how they like to try and "prove" to us that we have no faith if we don't let Jesus swoop down and save us from every danger we encounter. The dude was merely trying to invalidate your faith. Like Jesus said, shake the dust from your sandals and move on. Sounds like you did just that.
  22. As someone who has been only recently bitten by the knife bug, I haven't allowed myself to get into the more expensive stuff, so my collection is pretty modest right now. My current favorite is a Kershaw Half-Ton, but am looking hard at the Baby Boa as my next purchase.
  23. I agree; she is a beautiful girl and she has the freedom to do whatever she pleases to her body. I just personally think that she would be as beautiful, if not more so without the self-mutilation.
  24. What I want to know is why someone would do something this stupid, put it on video, then post it on youtube so the whole world could see how stupid he is...
  25. Do you do that on a regular basis?
