  1. I've learned that there is no shortage of people in the gun community who are elitists when it comes to gun ownership and right to carry. Pope is one of them.

I see your point, but it's the buyer's responsibility to know what they are buying. If that means shooting it first before you buy, then that's what you should do. And then it's prudent to run at least a couple hundred or so rounds through it before you ever think about trusting your life to it. Besides, what LGS doesn't have their smith check each and every weapon out before they put it on the sales floor? To do otherwise would be irresponsible.
  3. +1 The only time I ankle carry is when it is my designated backup gun, unless I simply cannot carry any other way. Since I always carry two, this has proven to work better for me than any other method I have tried. I know several other folks who carry this way as well. Like anything else, it takes practice to become proficient with drawing from the ankle. I also carry my M&P9c this way from time to time for deep concealment.
  4. I wish Mr. Stegall would weigh in on this....
  5. I must've missed it the first time (or last time) around, sorry.
  6. Ankle carry works well for a lot of folks, myself included. But it's not for everyone.
  7. It's no secret that Gail is decidedly anti-2A. When she did her hit pieces on the so-called "guns in bars" bill, I repeatedly asked her why it would be a problem here when it had presented no problems in the states where it had been law for several years. I asked Adam Dread that as well, and he revealed himself to be the moron that he is. Gail wouldn't reply. Then, months after it became law, I emailed her again and asked her why she thought the "wild west shootouts" and "blood in the streets" that she predicted and would happen as a result and wrung her hands over never came to pass. Again, I got no reply. She hates guns, gun owners, and the truth about both.
  8. Well, no one ever said intelligence was required to make money.
  9. This video was posted on The Truth About Guns blog. My advice for this maroon... 1. Keep your finger off the trigger. 2. Lose the fake cop badge, because it makes you look like a total asshat mall ninja LOSER. 3. Don't make any more instructional videos, because you suck at it. 10. Are liberals worth anything??
  11. And with a CCW badge you have double secret diplomatic immunity.
  12. This all just reaffirms for me WHY I have never attended a Goodman Gun and Knife Show, and probably never will.
  13. This thread makes a good case for keeping records of your serial numbers, receipts, and photos of all your firearms, with close ups of the details. IF a cop confiscates your firearm after SD event, get a receipt.
  14. I don't know what it is about knives, but they are fascinating and soothing for some reason. I have recently become a Case enthusiast. I love the vintage variety, and recently had 4 passed down to me, one of which I carry in my pocket after some heavy duty cleaning and polishing. I'm just really proud of it since it was my dad's.
  15. Primary - pocket carry BUG - ankle carry
  16. I'll be the first to admit that I ain't the brightest bulb, but I've handled firearms since I was a kid, and I've had one ND, which was no one's fault but my own and was because I was being STUPID. Nothing accidental about it.
  17. Yet it's amazing how many people actually believe they still live in a free country.
  18. I'll take my chances putting up a fight.
  19. Look for the "tacticool" vests to be banned by the TSA sometime in the near future if they aren't already....
  20. Guess you didn't really mean this then?
  21. They do this because they're incapable of identifying and capturing someone who's a real threat. All they know how to do is harass little old ladies, 4-year olds, and pregnant women. And now that they have authority over the roadways in Tennessee, look for this same to happen at rest areas too.
  22. Don Hume double mag carriers for both the 9c and the 45c work well for me.
  23. You do whatever you have to to survive. If I have no doubt that he's going to kill me if I don't do something, then, yes, I'm drawing my weapon. At least I have a chance, even if it's dumb luck. NEVER give up.
  24. My mother-in-law says loaded guns are dangerous, which is why I keep mine loaded.
  25. 1. Her situational awareness sucked or was non-existent, as is common with so many people. 2. If he was behind her the whole time, and it was dark, how does she know he had a gun? Did he just tell her he did or did she see it at some point?. Not enough information in the article to determine that. Pay attention to your surroundings.
