  1. "They're well-trained in that area, I would think so," said Wright. Obviously not. We've all heard that "stupid should hurt", and in this case, it did.
  2. He said that there were signs that instructed him to check any weapons at the ticket counter, so there was no reason for him to believe he was violating any laws. He was not carrying a loaded weapon. The common knowledge that NYC is an anti-gun municipality is no reason for someone to give up their constitutional rights. I don't get what's so hard to believe about this.
  3. Let's see.... a leftist idiot or a neocon idiot..... neither of whom give a rat's hiney about the Constitution.....hmmmmmmmm Can I flip a coin?
  4. Let me know when we actually get some like minded people running for office. I have yet to see it. They are all the same to me. Marsha Blackburn proved this to me recently. When I voted for her, I was stupid enough to believe that she was different.
  5. You're proving me right because voting for the GOP nominee because a third party candidate is "unelectable" simply perpetuates the broken system we currently have. None of the current GOP candidates are any better than what we currently have in the WH. So, in my view, until we somehow break the stranglehold the two party system has on national politics, we're going to keep getting what we've always gotten. I'm through voting for the lesser of two evils. From now on I'm voting my conscience.
  6. Speaking of socialist, anti-freedom municipalities, my wife wants to go to Chicago this summer. Bleh.
  7. I honestly wish I had a solution, but thanks for proving my point. Voting for the lesser of two evils really worked in the last presidential election, didn't it?
  8. And this is exactly why we will just keep getting more of the same. We have the government we deserve.
  9. Sorry, but since the last two elections I have no faith in ANY politician. They all suck in my book.
  10. Guess I just interpreted it differently than you did.
  11. Yet I read that conservatives are far more charitable than liberals. I don't believe for an instant that Democrats are any less interested in keeping our tax money for themselves than Republicans are.
  12. WTH? If I didn't know better, I would suspect the Brady Bunch and the VPC of planting these people just to try and make law-abiding gun owners look bad.
  13. Man, the testosterone is thick in here. How did this go from your weapon of choice in qualifying for your HCP to bragging about how little of your target was left? Forgive me if I sound like a jerk, but who cares? I don't remember that being part of the OP's original question. For the record, I placed 100% of my qualifying shots on the target, but that's more a testament to the accuracy of the Hi Power I used than to any supposed skill level I possessed, which at the time was virtually NONE, other than knowing which way to point it and how to pull the trigger. Wonder if anyone could hit 100% in a real, live high-pressure SD situation? I know I couldn't, no matter how accurate I am standing still at 7 or 15 yards punching holes in paper. Yet that's one thing that a lot of instructors fail to mention, the adrenaline dump and the loss of fine motor skills when you actually have to defend your life or the life of someone you care about. Remember the 11th commandment: Thou shalt not kid thyself.
  14. Yes, time does fly and it seems to accelerate as you grow older. I can't believe that I will be a sexagenarian (stop snickering and look it up) in 2-1/2 years. I still feel like a 30-yr old. And THANK YOU for your service!!
  15. The thought of $200 + to fill up my truck brings tears to my eyes.

Ummm, no, I didn't, but thanks for the concern. I guess I just don't understand why people want someone else to make their decisions for them.
  17. One size does NOT fit all. It's trial and error. No one can tell you which is "best" for YOU.

Really? You honestly can't gather the information and make a decision yourself?
  19. Sounds like just about every response I've gotten from her regarding several issues. SSDD. Marsha, you've become a typical Washington bureaucrat and you've lost my vote.
  20. Glad you found that to be the case.
  21. As a general rule, I go into any gun shop or SG store with the attitude that the person behind the counter knows about as much about guns as I do about quantum physics, until he proves otherwise. I have a friend who bought one of the 2022s for a CCW, and he found it too large and thick for IWB. It might be fine for OWB, however. I had a SW9VE that I carried IWB and OWB with no problems, and it has a reputation for reliability. The trigger takes some getting used to, but can be mastered with practice.
  22. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIIIIIISSSSSSSS......However, one does need to train and practice with their HD weapon just as they do their carry weapon.
  23. It would be nice if gun-haters could see reason and logic, but there's something in their wiring that impedes rational thought.
  24. I went looking for some knife deals. Ended up with a nice red/black Kershaw Blur and a Benchmade Aphid. Was able to get the seller to bundle them for me.
