My wife has been a couponer for a couple of years now, but not to the extreme. She saves us somewhere in the vicinity of $40-$80 per week on our grocery bill of about $120. We have what I would consider a moderate stockpile of household goods and non-perishables. I also have a Coleman stove with extra propane canisters, as well as an extra propane tank for my grill. Does that make us "preppers"?

We could solve the gang problem swiftly if they would just declare open season on them. Not at all surprising that the NAACP is crying foul. They couldn't exist without gangs or black poverty.

I think they got it right. Just another example of law enforcement pushing the envelope without bothering to consider the constitutionality of their actions.

Since Christmas, I have bought 2 Benchmades, 3 Kershaws, and 1 SOG. I also have acquired several older Case folders that I am partial to. I find myself drawn to the Kershaws above everything else for some reason. They seem to have a more varied product line than anyone else. Good quality while still being very affordable. I am afraid to turn myself loose on the ZT line as well as some of the other more expensive ones because my bank account won't support that behavior. Just like firearms, it's nice having blade options. I love opening my drawer in the morning and asking myself "Which one(s) will I carry today?".

Don't let anyone convince you that what works for them will work for you. Hold as many as you can, shoot as many as you can, then decide which one works best for YOU. One size does not fit all.

I use this argument all the time, only to be met with "Well, a car isn't DESIGNED for killing". So, just because something is supposedly "designed" for killing, but doesn't kill nearly as many as some other object not "designed" to do so, that somehow makes it more deadly? This is the kind of stupidity we are up against.

I would help immensely if you would quote people who actually know something about the issue and speak from a position of common sense and logic. I have had written communication with Adam Dread, and when he was asked to validate his absurd assertions regarding things like the restaurant carry bill (claiming that there would be "blood in the streets" if the bill was passed into law), he retreated to a position of "I don't have any facts to prove what I'm saying, it's my opinion". Therefore, as far as I am concerned, he is IGNORANT of the issue and his views are not to be trusted.

Until it can be proven that violent criminals or the mentally disturbed get a significant amount of their arsenal from private sales (at gunshows, in the parking lot, or anywhere else), they should leave it alone. I've bought several of my firearms from private individuals, and none of them have ever shot anyone. Why should I be penalized for someone else's alleged illegal activity?

I can understand wanting to carry something smaller, but I've never needed to. My summer carry doesn't change from my winter carry. M&P45c in a IWB K&D Thunderbird Defender works just as well under a T shirt with shorts as it does under a jacket or sweater. Same is true for a G26.

Before Cool Springs Galleria was built, HH Mall was the closest mall to us. Back then it wasn't overrun with gangs and the bad element. Haven't been there in years and wouldn't go within five miles of that place now.
