They would have to complain to her in order for her to know that. If she's going to run her business based on unfounded assumptions of nameless people being offended (most of them probably wouldn't know Campfield if they saw him), then it's a matter of time before she closes her doors for good.

Maybe I'm missing something, but in this economy, I find it extremely STUPID for a business owner to ban someone from their establishment because of an ideology. I guess she figures that Campfield's money doesn't spend like everyone else's. Idiot.

I carry mine in a Wilderness Safepacker when I'm driving. Attaches to the seat belt and gives me quick access if I need it, and can be transferred easily and quickly between vehicles, or even worn on the belt. It also has the "hidden in plain view" advantage.

I truly think it's wishful thinking on the part of the gun haters. I believe they are perfectly willing and even wish to see innocent people die if it will prove them right and allow tougher gun laws or even outright bans. You don't say if you are buying the 1911 to carry or not, but if you are, just make sure that you practice, practice, practice disengaging the external safety as you acquire the target, BEFORE you carry it for SD. Don't fool yourself into thinking that you will remember to do it under the stress of an attack from a determined violent criminal. Sweeping the safety off MUST be second nature if you're going to carry a 1911 condition one, which is how it is designed to be carried.

If it was inside the building, then they must not have posted the entrance. After all, posting "no loaded weapons" signs keep these things from happening, doesn't it?

Call me paranoid or suspicious, but I'm having a tough time believing Rand Paul wasn't singled out. He is a pretty high profile politician, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the TSA had their sights on him, knowing how he would react to the prospect of a pat down. I'm personally glad he refused to submit to it and admire him for doing so.

That's it. If this passes, I'm done. They can all go take a flying leap.

As has been said here so many times, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes". He made the choice to throw his career away and because of that, I don't feel sorry for him at all.
