  1. "The right of the people shall not be infringed", not the right of the government, unless you are interpreting it to mean that the people are the government.
  2. Then to whom are Constitutional rights granted?
  3. strickj, where are you getting the notion that the Constitution doesn't apply to property owners? Are property owners not American citizens?
  4. It didn't say so in the article, but I'm willing to bet that the gun pointed itself at the wife.
  5. Well, he was truly a threat to the other side. They tried their best to vilify him and paint him as a fraud and a liar. Maybe they figured if they couldn't shut him up, then more drastic measures were necessary. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if someone slipped something in a drink or on his food, but even if that were the case, it would never be proven.
  6. You mean Mr. "Don't-you-leave-till-you-see-me" wasn't hospitable?
  7. That answers my question very well. Thanks for taking the time to post it. I should know that anything handmade or custom made will demand a premium over something that is mass-produced.
  8. I am SO sorry to hear this. His efforts were crucial to exposing the left-wing bias of the MSM. This is a HUGE loss.
  9. Never said you did. Just puzzled at the attitude that people should somehow make spending decisions based on what someone else thinks.
  10. Davy Jones dead from a massive heart attack at age 66: http://www.tennessean.com/article/20120229/ENTERTAINMENT03/120229015/Monkees-star-Davy-Jones-dies-age-66?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|FRONTPAGE RIP
  11. Maybe it's because most of us like to make our own decisions about where we spend our money.
  12. I agree that private property rights are sacred, but an American citizen's right to self-defense is also sacred. I have heard several arguments for and against this bill, and I see the reasoning on both sides. I just have a problem with someone like the COC president conjuring up the same old, tired, strawman scenarios that we had to endure during the so-called "guns in bars" debate.
  13. President of the TN Chamber of Commerce gives us her .02: http://www.tennessea...ext|FRONTPAGE|s One of the comments raises a good point about how government steps all over private property rights in regards to the handicapped, racial quotas, etc. Yet somehow a law that allows employees to keep their firearms locked in their vehicles is telling businesses what to do? Can you say "double standard"? ROFL
  14. You have a better grasp of basic economics than most of our elected politicians, especially the idiot in the White House. However, I realize it's not saying a lot.
  15. Isn't shooting someone with a .380 considered a warning shot?
  16. Carl would be dead if it weren't for Shane.
  17. You know, I'm ignorant about a lot of things - nuclear physics, laser surgery, covert operations - but I admit that I'm ignorant about those and other things. It stupefies me when people spout off about things of which they have NO FREAKING CLUE, and both they know and I know that they don't have a FREAKING CLUE, but they believe that they somehow acquired knowledge that they didn't have five minutes ago by osmosis. Yoompin Yiminy!!!
  18. Pfffft. I think even David would tell you that hitting the "ban" button is not even remotely in the same category as a SHTF situation.
  19. Ahhh, ridicule - Saul Alinsky would be proud.
  20. If those were my only two choices, I would choose the .380. But the same reasoning applies to choosing a .357 over a .380. The .357 has proven, consistent (key word here) effectiveness as a SD round. Between the two, there just isn't any reason to choose the .380, except for personal preference, which by itself is not a very good reason. I'm serious about protecting my life and the lives of the ones I care about.
  21. BTW, not really worried about "maximum" penetration, just "adequate".
  22. I bet you get stopped by the cops a lot.....
  23. I hate to tell you this, but we're not in Europe. Besides, if they're doing it over there, that's a really good reason NOT to do it over here.
