  1. I give Glenn points for doing the right thing. It's still Hershel's home and Glenn has enough integrity to respect that. I believe it will make Maggie respect him even more. Did you see the smile on her face as he walked away? And, I think that maybe Glenn will pick up the torch that Dale left behind and become the group's conscience. Dale apparently had a profound effect on him.
  2. Heard on the news this morning that police have not yet issued a citation.
  3. Can you carry a machete on your person in public?

  5. His life was not in danger. He shot through a door while unable to see what was behind it. He should have called 911 and been a good witness. People who make the decision not to protect themselves shouldn't expect someone to do it for them. Yes, he should face charges, based on the written account.
  6. And that makes me wonder if the person who dropped it in the store even had it in a holster.
  7. My wife and I shop at Publix; I hope this doesn't change their corporate policy.
  8. As much as I disliked Shane, I didn't want to see him die. I was hoping for what Rick referred to as "turning over a new leaf" when he was talking to Hershel. But Rick did what he needed to do. He deserves the respect of the rest of the group and has earned his place as the leader. It must be terrible to have to kill your best friend in self-defense. I'm starting to dislike Andrea for her attitude towards Rick. I wonder how she will handle the news that Shane is dead.
  9. The gun jumped out of the holster by itself and was trying to shoot an innocent bystander; it just missed. Luckily someone got it back under control before it could hurt anyone.

    what is the deal

Rudeness is learned. It's just one of many symptoms of a sick society. I was going through a one-lane underpass in Williamson County Saturday evening, and it's difficult to see if anything's coming the other way unless you get right up on it. There's just barely enough room for the vehicle coming the other direction to get around you. So, I slowed down and began inching up so I could see. All of a sudden, a middle-aged guy in a truck came flying through, and God forbid, he had to slow down to get around the front of my truck. As he went by, he had his window down, and with a snarl, said "Blow your horn!". But did he blow his while he was coming through the tunnel? NO. What a jerk. Some people are just rude, but they will be rude to the wrong person one day. It's just a matter of time.
  11. That's because they think their chances are very low of being a victim. You know, that statistics thing that a lot of people stake their lives on.
  12. The only one I own two of is the M&P 45 compact.
  13. It will sell, because the firearms manufacturers have proven that people will buy just about anything.
  14. "Many critics are asking the same question. They call the ruling an invasion of privacy that far outweighs the needs of law enforcement." We've surrendered far to many of our freedoms already.
  15. I've already stated my case.
  16. I don't see this any differently than the overreaching authority that the TSA has to perform intrusive searches at the airports. At any rate, it will be interesting to see how much evidence is culled from cell phones to convict the bad guys. And if there are no abuses of this decision, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
  17. Thats why I wanted something I could install on my hard drive so I wouldn't be dependent on the good graces of the internet gods.
  18. The problem is potential abuse on the part of law enforcement. If they have reasonable suspicion that's actually based on the law, that's one thing. But look at how many cameras/cell phones have been confiscated because someone was videotaping police in the performance of their duties, which is not a crime. The problem comes when law enforcement goes beyond the boundaries of actually enforcing the law.
  19. Well, I appreciate the replies. I understand what envelope budgeting is. I was merely looking for a PC program that would let me set it up that way and let me reconcile different accounts each month (cash, credit card) as well as the bank statement.
  20. M&P45c is my preferred carry over everything else that I own hands down. If you like the 9c, you'll love the 45c.
  21. Another vote for the M&P.
  22. Well, I have to say that I never thought of using them both together. Great idea. Thanks.
  23. I can set it up in Excel; I just was hoping to find something that would reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
  24. And the courts have NEVER been known to rule against the Constitution. Right.
  25. I'm looking for a good PC program that uses the envelope budgeting system. Does anyone here use one that they would recommend?
