Charged w/ murder found 'NOT GUILTY' SelfDefense Video Incl.
daddyo replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That's exactly what I was thinking when cops #3 & #4 come out to "assist", and then even more after that. Plus, they apparently didn't understand that a door won't open when something is immediately on the other side blocking it. Geez. Must've been a slow day at the precinct. -
I've been in the same house out in the country now since '84. I've thought several times about moving into a subdivision, but stories like this always make me think better of it. My brother has been at war with his HOA in Kennesaw ever since he moved there. Double standards, nebulous rules, and dictator wannabees is what he has to deal with. Other than that, he loves it.

You've never had any of my Corn Lite Bread....

I have the DC24 Mutli floor model (ball version). Works great. Only thing is that the cord is a little short and the canister has to be emptied after ever other room.

WHY is this just now making the news when it happened in 2010? Looks like another example of the media pursuing an agenda. And, I realize the victim's widow was grieving when she was being interviewed, but, really? Why do people carry guns in parks?? Really?

And all this time I thought hush puppies were for catfish!!!

Stopped at the local Walmart this morning to look and see what they had. Nothing out in plain view, but they had the diagram on the top of the counter that included only 3 models of SAKs: Classic, Spartan, and one other (I already forgot). I think I'll visit the local Target this afternoon to see if they have anything in stock. Oh, and Lester, last night I got the SS blades on my Mechanic shaving sharp using my Lansky fine stone. Been entertaining myself today by cutting the corners off 8.5 x 11" sheets of paper.

UncleJak, my sincere sympathies and condolences. My wife lost her dad last October to inoperable melanoma. Once it was determined that there was nothing more they could do, they sent him home from the rehab facility he had been in since May. My brother-in-law and his wife live in the same town, and had added a mother-in-law suite to their home, so they both moved in with them for the duration. Hospice was called in after just a week, and after two weeks there he passed away in his sleep. What a blessing, as his suffering was kept to a minimum and he passed before he reached the point of being in agony. It was much easier on the family as well, even though it was very difficult to lose someone who was such a great husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. We had a great weekend with him right after he left the rehab center. Lots of good food, drink, and family time. There were lots of laughs and lots of tears. I never did anything so hard in my life as when I said goodbye to him and I knew it was the last time I would ever see him on this earth. But we celebrated his life in grand style that weekend. When he passed, my wife was there with him along with the other family members and she said that the hospice folks were wonderful and made him as comfortable as humanly possible.

Here's the link: http://wreg.com/status/our-april-thompson-had/ Hotheads shouldn't carry weapons.

The way he handled it was way over the top. There is absolutely NO excuse for treating someone who has committed no crime this way. I think you should file a complaint. It's just too bad that there's no video to prove what you're saying.

Shepherd Hills Cutlery used to be at Opry Mills. The Victorinox website lists them even though they chose not to reopen after the flood.

Wasn't really looking for any one model in particular. I have a "camping" model and a "mechanic", which I am currently carrying along with my folder du jour. I wanted to see some single and double layer SAKs. Friedman's had a few, but not many. I'll be going over to Gatlinburg/PF in the fall, but that's a long time to wait.

Welcome home, welcome to TGO, and to echo what David said, THANK YOU for your service! -
Does anyone know where in the Nashville area I can find a good selection of Victorinox Swiss Army Knives other than Friedman's Army Navy Store? I went there at lunch today and was a little disappointed at their selection and their prices.

I cannot even express my disgust with the entire process and the illegalities that are being perpetrated on the voters. I HATE the thought of voting for Romney or Santorum, but if it will have the effect of booting the Obamas from the White House, then that's what I will do. But I am on record as saying that I HATE the current two-party system with a passion as well as the status quo that is being forced on us.

Thanks for the warning; I think I'll take your word for it.

Personalised, electronic handgun headed for commercialisation

Which is exactly what the Libtard nation wants - guns that don't work. -
It depends entirely on what you want it for. The M&P9 would make a good range and/or defensive weapon. The Kel Tec would make a fun range gun, but it doesn't seem to be very practical for SD IMO.

Like I said, there's more than enough nightmares to go 'round as it is.
-
I think the main reason considering this as a real scenario is so distasteful for me is because it has frightening, even fatal implications for someone with an autoimmune disease like Type 1 diabetes. My son wouldn't survive very long as there would be no medicine or what was left would go bad without refrigeration. Even with refrigeration, it has an expiration date and when it ran out, there wouldn't be any more. Not fun to think about. I already have enough nightmares where he is concerned, so maybe you can see why pondering this apart from the entertainment factor only produces more nightmares. Even though he hasn't said it, I think that may be the reason he has absolutely no interest in watching the show.

Williamson County Schools used to be good when we moved there in '84. They've turned into government indoctrination centers just like the rest of the public school system.

You mean people were eaten by zombies?
-
I'm not much on wasting time thinking 'bout what I'm gonna do when the zombies/walkers/whatever come, cause they aren't. It's entertaining, but at the end of the day, it's just make-believe, fellas.
