Any of you fellas and/or gals have problems with ants invading your home? How do you get rid of 'em?

Noticed a clicking noise over the weekend on my F150 that stops when I shut the a/c off. Took it to the shop that I use and was told that either the compressor or the a/c clutch is going out, but to get a warranty on the part, that I have to purchase a "package" that includes compressor, condenser, and a bunch of other crap to the tune of $1,000!! Just because one part is going out! Am I being sold a bill of goods, or do I need to take it somewhere else?

I wish RK would do it that way. They charge $10 for a two-day admission. There is rarely anything worth going back for on Sunday. But even at $6/day it would still be overpriced.

If I pay for merchandise, and then someone comes back later and says "Oh, we need to charge you tax on those items", then, yes, it's retroactive.

The only "pocket rocket" that I'm aware of that is not "hit or miss" is the good old, reliable Smith J frame.

When I had this one installed, it replaced a heat pump with gas heat, and you know what happened? Natural gas prices started skyrocketing. So this time I've been in a quandry about whether to stay with gas or to go back to a heat pump. Guess it really doesn't matter much as whichever way I go will end up costing me more. Kinda like always getting in the slowest line at the grocery store. Oh well, my dad told me that when I was born, one of the nurses gave me a shot of bad luck.

So, I find out today that my 16-yr old Rheem unit needs $1600-$2000 worth of repairs (new coil), so I'm having someone come out today and quote me a price on a new one. Woot!!

I feel for you. Years ago my next door neighbors had two idiot sons who each had boomcars. Usually on Saturdays they would either do yardwork or clean up their cars and the bass would literally rattle the windows in my house. I tried asking them politely, and it just pissed them off, including the father. They actually turned up the volume from that point. There was nothing I could do since there is no county noise ordinance, and apparently disturbing the peace did not apply. I did a happy dance the day the last one moved away from home. To this day I cannot tolerate the "boom-boom" of someone's car stereo, no matter where I am. I can feel my BP going up. I just can't comprehend some people's complete lack of consideration for others. Seems like our society is becoming increasingly and exponentially insensitive and selfish.

Pope is no different from the snarky member of the Williamson County Board of Education who, when I emailed ALL members of the Board regarding my concerns about the county "opting out" of the so-called "guns in parks" bill a couple of years ago (or whenever it was), told me that if I was too scared to go to a county park without my gun then I should just stay out. I replied and told him that he was everything I had come to expect from my elected representatives.

My personal experience with Keltec was so bad that I won't ever buy another one. My P3AT completely failed at the range one day, and it occurred to me that, had I needed it when it counted, I might have been dead. I returned it to the factory, and when I got it back, I promptly sold it. You get what you pay for.

My son is currently using that program. After about 30 days, the results are beginning to show. He looks fit, and has gone from a 34 waist to a 32. He says it's pretty intense, but when he first started it, he didn't try to do everything, just what he could. Now he can do the entire one hour workout. I have been thinking about doing it myself.
