  1. I still wouldn't go there after dark.
  2. I don't reload, but even if I did, I'd still carry factory ammo in my carry weapon. Somehow I think a prosecutor would be bringing SAMMI specs into it if I were ever charged with homicide in a SD case.
  3. ... about their choices in carry weapons? If you like it and think it will do the job for you, WHY are you concerned about what others think? I just don't get it.
  4. Never owned one and don't plan to.
  5. Those aren't 1911s.
  6. How is making an observation based on your experience being unprofessional?
  7. I believe his point is that the 1911 design was not intended to shrink down to a subcompact size, hence the reported failures. He's not blaming the original design of the 1911 platform. I don't recall him addressing any other subcompact design other than the subcompact 1911. I would say that if you have one that runs well, you are fortunate.
  8. I do believe that's what I was looking for.... thanks, Slim!!
  9. Looks like decent deal on these. I ordered 2; one for me and one for my brother. Looks like it's comparable in size to the ZT 0350 and even resembles it somewhat. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Kershaw-Tension-Folding-Knife/1270358.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dkershaw%2Btension%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=kershaw+tension&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products
  10. "I just want the truth, just makes it seem like Jaquares was some type of gangster or hood person in the street doing wrong, he was not like that. Me and his father stayed on him." Yeah, yeah, yeah, "he was a good boy". I hate to tell you momma, but he WAS "some kind of gangster or hood person in the street doing wrong". That's why he was robbing someone at gunpoint. Personal responsibility is a thing of the past.
  11. Anyone know a good local source of beads (wood or metal) for knife lanyards? I've looked at Joanns and Michael's here in Williamson County and they don't seem to have any that I'm interested in. I could just make my own, and will more than likely start doing just that at some point, but would like to find some already done to get some ideas.
  12. I don't EVER remember GWB standing in front of US troops and saying "We've got me in the house".

    Ants!

Looks like the Raid Ant Gel is working. Haven't seen a single ant for two days.
  14. Got mine a couple of days ago. What BS.
  15. The Battle of Athens:
  16. Nope, won't be worth diddly when it happens.
  17. Second Amendment rights guarantee the rest. It is the benchmark against which I evaluate EVERY politician and cast my vote accordingly.
  18. This came in the mail Monday - I like it: Features: Blade length.... 2-3/4" tip to scales Overall..... 6-5/16" Carbon fiber inlays SS handle Anodized blue liners Lanyard hole Took exactly two weeks to get it from China. Quality is high considering I paid only $14 for it. Been carrying it the past few days and it rides well in my jeans pocket and fits my hand well. It's about the perfect size for me for EDC, comparable to a CRKT Drifter.
  19. No matter how dumb you think your SIL is, the morons who work for the TSA are 10x that.

    Ants!

My wife bought some Raid Ant Gel at the market last weekend. I put some around the kitchen light switch (which is where I see them most often). Sunday night the spots of gel were covered with ants. Since Tuesday we have seen one or two at a time, and this morning when I made my coffee I didn't see a single one. Here's hoping. If it doesn't work, looks like I'll be ordering some Terro.
  21. And most of us are simply going to continue to take it up the arse, so just go ahead and bend over.
