Here's my takeaway on all this, based on what I've read so far and from what I've heard in the past. If one buys a Taurus product, then it's a shot in the dark as to whether or not he gets a good product. On top of that, it's also hit or miss as to whether or not he gets good CS if he has a problem with his product. And if he's buying that product to defend his life or the life of his family, he may or may not have a product that he can depend on. No thanks.

Not necessarily talking about Taurus here, but what good is a warranty when your weapon fails in a true SD situation? Maybe you can tell the BG "Oh, that wasn't supposed to happen. Dang (insert brand here)!!! I'm gonna have to send it back to the factory for repairs. Good thing it has a lifetime warranty! Can you give me 4 weeks and then we can pick this up where we left off??"

Yeah, sumthin' tells me that if a no-knock warrant is issued, and they get my house confused with someone else's in the middle of the night, it's not going to end well for me - law or no law.

I distrust any weapon I have to send back the factory even once. Of the ones I currently own, not a single one has had to be repaired. I did have one that I had to return, and after it was repaired, I got rid of it as quickly as I could. Warranties are nice and all, but if I can't trust it, I don't carry it.
