Last night on 60 Minutes they told the story of Jessica Buchanan. She was an aid worker who was working in Somalia with a charity group and was kidnapped by Somalian Bandits and held captive for ransom for 93 days in the desert. This is an incredible story and when she tells how the Seal Team finally came and rescued her it will blow you away. God bless our Special Forces who do so much and get so little recognition. A husband and wife had four boys. The odd part of it was that the older three had red hair, light skin, and were tall, while the youngest son had black hair, dark eyes, and was short. The father eventually took ill and was lying on his deathbed when he turned to his wife and said, "Honey, before I die, be totally honest with me - is our youngest son my child?" The wife replied, "I swear on everything that's holy that he is your son." With that, the husband peacefully passed away. The wife then muttered, "Thank God he didn't ask about the other three."

A DEA Agent stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher... said, "okay, but don't go into that field over there...", as he pointed out the location. The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, "look mister, I have the authority of the federal government with me!" Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want... On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!" The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the ranchers big Santa Gertrudis Bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs......       "YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!"

 The Pope and Obama are on the same stage in Yankee Stadium in front of a huge crowd. The Pope leans towards President Obama and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, but will go deep into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice!" Obama replied, "I seriously doubt that! With one little wave of your hand?....Show me!" So the Pope backhanded him and knocked him off the stage! AND THE CROWD ROARED & CHEERED WILDLY and there was happiness throughout the land!

I'm not much of a wine or liquor drinker but I do like a good beer. I live 3 miles from the Virginia border and just 5 miles to the first grocery store across the line. And it amazes me how much better the beer selection is over there compared to what we have here. There is a tremendous amount of GREAT beer that becomes available when you get to the 6.5% to 8% ABV content, and at grocery store prices it's even better.

The Tennessee State Legislature is currently considering allowing wine to be sold in grocery stores. The "Tennessee Malt Beverage Association" has decided to support the change in the law if grocery stores and convenience stores will be allowed to sell "High Gravity" (higher alcohol content) beer as well.
