  1. That's OK. I still am going to try to get something near Ft. Campbell.
  2. That's a great story. I've let my son develop his interest in guns and hunting at his own rate, and at 12 he said he ready to head into the woods. He wants to try his hand at bow season so we are going to be trying out some bows and crossbows this year to see which he likes. Hopefully we'll have as great a time as you and your dad.
  3. You beat me to it. I was gonna say just that.
  4. Are you going to have to kill us now that you told us about your classified testing area? Robert
  5. You have to turn your monitor on its side, then rotate and upload it, then turn your monitor back right side up. Easy peasy.
  6. A deer for me. This past season was my first real dedicated hunting season and I got squat. I'll start there. If I see a coyote while I'm out though, it's going down.
  7. Does that answer your question?
  8. I'm still banning you. Seriously though, this does sound like a cool thing. How many people does it take for this to start being cost effective? Is it probably going to be limited to events like the Super Bowl, or can a group of hunters get a pretty good deal when flying out to Colorado to bag some game?
  9. My main problem with the snow is that it is preventing me from riding my motorcycle. I don't mind the cold, but two wheels and slick roads just don't mix.
  10. Hey South, since your question has been pretty well answered above let me just say welcome to TGO. I think I speak for all of us when I say that it's great that you are taking an active interest in firearms at such a young age. I hope you find the site useful and the folks (mostly) friendly.
  11. Still looks like a rifle.
  12. Big salute to you. Welcome to the site.
  13. Yea, I'm changing my answer to his. Might as well have some fun during the ZA.
  14. I don't about the situation of which you speak but I doubt that anyone who would man up and takes his lumps publicly could be classified as a scumbag. Welcome back to the land of the living.
  15. I haven't, but I imagine anywhere there's government involvement there's a roughly 110% chance that it will be much slower and less efficient than can be done by a group of semi-motivated kindergartners.
  16. I'll check with the committee on that one. I need sites from east to west covering the whole state, so JC is high on the list for locations. Now if there is a memorial at or near the VA Hospital, then I'd say it would be a lock for the list.
  17. Definitely A. Use some of the most vocal anti-gunners as bait. They would be seriously rethinking their stance when tied to a post and surrounded by flesh eaters. Of course if the old adage of "no brain, no pain" is true, they have nothing to worry about.
  18. I forgot about York's home. I am definitely going to look into that one as well.
  19. As a side note, in order for the sites to be added to the list, I have to visit each site and take photographs for submission to the folks at TOH. This sounds like a great place to start.
  20. I have recently become acquainted with and am taking part in a motorcycle ride called the Tour of Honor. In short the ride is to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. It consists of seven sites in each of the sponsored states. Each site is dedicated to those “ ...that fought, or are still fighting for, our lives, freedom and pursuit of happiness.†While these can include memorials to police, fire, EMS, the majority are military related. The founders and sponsors of the TOH rides have asked for state sponsors to come up with sites in their respective states and I have volunteered for the great state of Tennessee. And that's where you all come in. If you know of a site that would be appropriate for the 2012 TOH, please list it here. Especially if you know the story of the memorial. Once I have a list of 10 sites, I can get our state submitted to be added for next year's ride. Also, if you are a motorcyclist and would like to participate, please see the TOH link above and sign up. If you have any questions let me know.
  21. It's just another tool in the tool box. If you're grabbed before you can get to your gun, it's best to have SOMETHING in there to handle the situation. It certainly is not the be-all end-all, but every bit helps. Yelling fire is still a good tool though.
