Another vote for Wilsons. Just don't get any flush-fitting ones. They are a pain. You really have to slam them in there to get them to seat properly.
  2. I think the title of that article explains it all.
  3. Holy crap! Do these people never learn?
  4. That's good news. Not that this would have done anything. People would have simply gone to Colorado or Utah to avoid being on the report. Not that the majority of Mexico's illegal weapons come from the U.S. in the first place.
  5. You're set. Don't try and invent extra work for yourself. It's not that big of a deal. The most I've had happen was in Denver - they had to put the bags on a cart and walk them to their scanners which were about 100 yards down the terminal. Other than that, easy peasy.
  6. No, I don't imagine he was afraid of that at all.
  7. There was a guy in Memphis a year or two ago that got shot 16 times with a .40 and walked to the ambulance. A trooper in North Carolina shot a guy 3 times at point blank range with a .357 magnum, turned his back and then was killed with his own weapon when he turned his back and the guy took it from him. Point is, the caliber debate is overplayed. Shot placement and situational awareness are king.
  8. I'm personally not offended by the NRA sticker, but I guess I can see how some may be. I don't see anything else that could be offensive though.
  9. I think "forgetting" is a kind word to use. Nobody forgets their kid in the car. They leave them there because they are not smart enough to do the right thing. It's criminal neglect, pure and simple.
  10. The material learned in SERE school is classified, and for good reason. Really it's not that bad. Just listen to what the instructors tell you during the classroom phase and apply it when you're in the field. That's the one I went to as well. For me the worst part was the lack of sleep. "Boots, boots, boots, boots, boots." The resistance training is the major part, in my opinion. If you want to review some survival stuff you can pick up a copy of the SAS handbook or other good survival book. The other parts you really can't prepare for. Just go in physically and mentally strong and you'll do fine. Like the HCP course, don't over-think it beforehand and you'll be fine.
  11. MG, Very sorry to hear about your illness. Here's to a speedy and mostly painless recovery.
  12. "She is when mom's around, son."
  13. Don't forget the XDm also comes with a match grade barrel as well. And it's not like Glock exactly invented the cutout in the slide either.
  14. That was friggin' hilarious.
  15. I think I was at that one! If you want to sell a gun for more than it's worth do it at an auction. People seem to see it less as an auction and more as a bidding war.
  16. Amen. Remember the Ranger who ruck marched from Benning to D.C. to protest?
  17. Sotomayor doesn't get a vote. She's not a Senator. And the NRA will be all over this if it gets signed and moves toward ratification. But write your Senators now and often to ensure they hear you.
  18. If I wasn't also celebrating my daughter's 17th birthday I'd probably stop by. Have a great day Terry.
  19. I was bracing for it since he had a magazine in throughout the video. It appeared the bolt was locked back and I can't confirm it was loaded, but the way he was handling that thing I wouldn't have put it past him.
  20. Gee thanks. I was just about to start in with the BS and you go ahead and warn him. I never called anyone I did not respect by nicknames or first names regardless of rank or position. You could tell who I thought was an a-hole by the strict adherence to protocol. I think that is pretty common.
  21. Not to mention you were shot, what, 50 times?
  22. I did take the survey. I'll try and make it no matter what. Is that a city park or a state park? If city, it's a no go.
