  1. You can certainly recognize a Browning pistol when you see one, can't you?
  2. Yea, I don't remember it being that difficult. Of course I was probably somewhere between 13 and 15 the last time I did one.
  3. On the bright side, it looks like I could pass the physical.
  4. Man, he screwed the pooch on that one didn't he?
  5. I haven't shot or even handled the SR9C, but in general if you're looking for a target gun compacts kinda stink. I used to have an XDm40 and can vouch for its quality. I regretted trading it so much that I recently replaced it with an XDm 5.25 Competition Series. If you want a target gun, there you go. I agree with dats82, get a 9mm for a range/target gun. If it's not your carry why pay more for ammo?
  6. I'm tempted to ban him anyway. Just cuz I'm an a-hole and stuff.
  7. Welcome. I am a Utah native myself, if you consider being born there and moving a month later a native. Cottonwood Hospital, Murray, UT.
  8. ...And a good time was had by all, right? I guess in the eyes of your new "secret admirers," you are guilty until proven innocent. Hopefully this will be an extremely isolated incident for you.
  9. Parrot, that is some awesome stuff. I wish I had the opportunity to know my biological grandparents better so that I could share a similar story. I also wish I could help you identify some of that stuff. Very cool.
  10. It does place an unnecessarily heavy burden on anyone accepting cash in a transaction as well. In my non-lawyerly opinion this amounts to prior restraint, lack of due process, and probably a couple of others. If this isn't struck down by the courts then God save us all.
  11. The one good thing about a French rifle is, they may not be designed to be fired a lot but they sure can stand up to being dropped.
  12. It takes a lot of discipline and a pretty healthy amount of self esteem to live that simply, yet that well. I'm actually somewhat envious of the guy.
  13. You're a sick, sick man. I was giddy the day I got to trade in my A2 and pick up an M4. Of course it didn't have all the tacticool accessories that are common today.
  14. Wonder how long before Obama claims credit for this.
  15. I am ashamed to admit that no, I am not yet a home brewer. I have about 100 bottles saved up for when I start and even my wife is down with the idea so I have no good excuse other than I am a slovenly slacker of the highest order.
  16. Say four "Our Lagers" and fire five magazines at the range as your repentance. Our lager, Which art in barrels, Hallowed be Thy drink, Thy will be drunk, At home as I am in the tavern. Give us this day our foamy head, And forgive us our spillages, As we forgive those who spill against us, And lead us not to incarceration, But deliver us from hangovers, For thine is the beer, The bitter and the lager, Forever and ever, Barmen.
  17. I know that Tennessee only guns exist. Barrett is in Murfreesboro. Haven't heard anything else about the challenge though.
  18. Yep. Can't wait to hear it. Thank you very much for your service, welcome back to Tennesse (the patron state of shootin' stuff), and welcome to TGO.
  19. Stolen? It's obvious that someone needed that stuff more than them. They just redistributed without involving the government. That's efficiency in action right there.
  20. Success is when you realize what is most important in life and make that your priority. For me that's my family. My job is what allows me to enjoy the time with them.
  21. That's where good friends like me come in. I'll drive your truck down there and let Strick take some pictures of it. Of course that means I'd have to let you drive my Tundra around in the mean time. But hey, what are friends for?
  22. Man, that stuff had me laughing my fat butt off. Hi-friggin-larious.
