  1. It's very unique. I think I might actually like it. Good job.
  2. It's definitely the only way to go if you shoot a lot, or even a moderate amount. And if you shoot competition and aren't shooting reloads enjoy being a the back of the pack. Of course if you do shoot reloads and you shoot like me, enjoy being at the back of the pack.
  3. You may be getting hit by wind coming from behind you as it goes around the windshield then you. My wife gets hit really bad by this when she rides with me at higher (Interstate) speeds. It will catch the bottom of the back of your helmet and lift up on it causing you to unconsciously push back.
  4. O'Reilly is a twit, especially when it comes to guns. He knows almost less than nothing and his stance on the issue is consistently wrong.
  5. Incorrect. The Supreme Court has opined that they have no such duty. Their only responsibility is to attempt to catch perps after they have already committed the crime.
  6. You're asking Ron Paul to not be Ron Paul, which he is not known for doing. In fact it's quite the opposite. On another note, there is an assumption by the OP that all Ron Paul supporters are Republican converts. That is far from true. Libertarians pull (nearly) equally from Democrat and Republican ideology. The so-called extreme ideals of each party tend to be weeded out by Libertarian leaning folks as they tend to encroach on personal freedoms one way or the other.
  7. ABC reporting something worth watching would be the exception. This does not surprise me in the least.
  8. It's not a big deal. Nashville is pretty easy but some airports do a bit more. For example in Denver they walk you down the terminal to a separate screening area so I would plan an extra 15-20 minutes just to be safe.
  9. I lived in Germany for 7 years as a kid, when my dad was stationed in Fulda and Stuttgart. We are planning a family vacation next year so my family can experience Germany. Welcome to the board and to Tennessee. Great to have you.
  10. If the news were a good indicator of the likelihood of something happening the only thing they would have time for would be stories of people defending themselves and others with their guns. Unfortunately the news is only an indicator of what people want to hear about so it's not really a good measure. Nobody said it's your obligation to save everyone but I do believe you have an obligation to not stand there watch a woman get killed. But hey, that's just my opinion. God forbid that's my daughter. Or yours. I sure as hell would rather explain to a jury why I shot a scumbag than explain to a mother why I treated the brutal murder of her daughter as an inconvenience to my Wal Mart shopping trip.
  11. #3. Do the morally right thing. A man does the right thing regardless of the potential consequences. All the legal hell that everyone worries about happens very, very rarely anyway. If you stand there and watch it happen I'm not sure how you would look at yourself in the mirror.
  12. Let me add one more thing about last year's match. I met some amazing shooters and some of the nicest folks in the sport there. And even though I shot like Stevie Wonder on acid I had a great time. Count me in this year as well.
  13. And Americans buy foreign made cars because American car companies have been peddling junk to us for better than 30 years. After a while you get tired of the repair bills and rather than taking pride in buying American made you begin to take pride in the fact that you own multiple cars with over 200,000 miles without a single major repair. I have owned two Accords that both went over 200,000 miles, the second one approaching 400,000. I am now on my third Accord. My dad at one time had 4 Camrys, each with over 250,000 miles and all still running. The last American car I bought started falling apart around 50,000 miles, needed a complete transmission replacement before 75,000 miles. I emphasize LAST. Except for Ford, I will never again consider another American car but as stated before Fords are expensive. So I "settled" on a Toyota truck instead. Of course both my Toyota and Honda were made in America while many of their competitors are made in Canada and Mexico.
  14. I like it. A lot of people in this country could learn a lot from that short video if only their heads weren't firmly rooted in their fourth point of contact.
  15. Nope, I've never seen horse piss in a clear bottle either.
  16. It would probably depend a lot on how the circumstances are presented to the officer. If he rules it a justifiable shoot I don't think the fact that you were drinking would matter too much, especially in your home where castle doctrine is the law. But a gun-hating DA can always make your life hell if he wants to.
  17. I do too. I just wish someone was there to share the magic.
  18. Yes. Just keep the gun and ammo separate.
  19. Charlie's a great guy. Great pics.
  20. Let me know if you have any questions. Both my XD and XDm have PRP trigger kits in them. The XD is about 4.5lbs and the XDm is 2.75lbs. Obviously I don't carry the XDm. Both have lightened sear springs and trigger springs; improved sear and striker safety lever; and the trigger with over travel stop. The XDm has quite a bit more.
  21. I'm still looking for the gaps you were complaining about. I wish I was your dad.
