  1. Haven't tried it. I will give it a shot. Almost none of my "rules" are hard and fast. I don't like lagers either, despite my screen name, but there are a few exceptions.
  2.   Yea, and since this post I've discovered that i don't like Tennessee Whiskey. I am definitely a Bourbon man when it comes to whiskey, and an Angel's Envy fan through and through. I also enjoy Four Roses thoroughly. My bottle of Single Barrel hasn't even been opened and will probably stay that way until somebody comes by the house and requests Jack.
  3.   Took the words right out of my...keyboard?   A 9mm carbine has the added bonus of being cheaper to shoot. And hey, who doesn't need another AR?
  4. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. In my case it was mice, and one of them crawled up on the wall in our bedroom and died. The next several days were very unpleasant in our room.
  5. Man, I tell ya, people like this are going to return us to the stone age or fast forward us to Idiocracy. If they had their way, nobody would become doctors or lawyers or engineers. We would all just be drooling idiots living off the government and completely under their control.
  6. I wonder why none of the existing laws, especially laws requiring a permit to carry, are ever challenged on the basis of the Tennessee Constitution itself, which clearly reads;
  7. Might as well be a Glock v. 1911 thread, eh? Maybe somebody could do something different and start a caliber wars thread. That would change things up around here. :D
  8. Extra points for not ending the quoted sentence with a preposition. Well played, sir. Well played.
  9. Yea, your flying skills do stink on ice. :D I'm not saying mine would be any better, though, because they surely wouldn't be. But man, now I want one of those things even more.
  10. I have heard that as well. When I bought my Tundra though, I was shopping between it and Ford F150s. I couldn't find an F150 with the features my Tundra has anywhere nearly as cheap as my Tundra. At the time I was looking at trucks in the 2 year old range (this was in 2010, and I my Tundra is an '08). As with all things car related, YMMV, pun intended.
  11. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/auto/most-reliable-car-companies-1.aspx Toyota ranked #2, behind Hyundai. Rating based on average repair costs for specific repairs. http://www.mojomotors.com/review/most-reliable-car-brands/ Toyota ranked #1. Rating based on resale value based on mileage of vehicle. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2014/04/who-makes-the-best-cars/index.htm Lexus (Toyota's luxury brand) ranked #1. 7 out of the top 8 brands were Japanese brands. Etc. etc. etc. Toyota rules. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
  12. Most people had never heard of? You don't follow boxing, do you?
  13. I've seen Def Leppard live and trust me, Rick Allen has absolutely no problem playing everything he used to play. In fact he has stated that losing his arm has caused him to really improve his timing. For the record, their concerts are great. In fact, seeing them live made me like their music again, and possibly more. Nickelback still sucks though. I heard an interview with them on the radio where they said they were working on a new album and they were halfway through a new song when their producer came in and told them they had already recorded this song. They said, "We have?" He said, "Yea, it's on your second album." What a bunch of dopes.
  14. Man, I must be the only person in history that had a pain free VA experience.
  15. One thing (I believe) Consumer Reports showed was that vehicles with the lowest quality ratings have the highest customer loyalty. This was true for both cars and motorcycles. So they might own the market, but they don't make the best. For the record, I also own a Yamaha motorcycle. Care to guess where Yamaha ranks as far as quality for motorcycles? ;)
  16. jgradyc, I can't tell you what is wrong, but I can assure you that it will be looked at. I'm going to go ahead and report this post so that it gets even more visibility by David. He does have a "real job" so it will probably be this evening before he's able to think about it, but rest assured he will get you taken care of.
  17. Between me, my dad, my stepmom, and my grandma, we probably have about 2 million miles on Toyotas: Tundra, Tacoma, Camry, Rav4, and Cressida. You simply cannot beat them for quality. Period. End of story. They are consistently ranked at the top of Consumer Reports and JD Powers lists for quality. Our current Toyotas are my Tundra, dad's Tacoma, and stepmom's Rav4. Not sure of their mileage, but my '08 Tundra has 103,000 miles on it and still feels new. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra dough on a Toyota. You won't regret it, unless you simply enjoy talking to your mechanic.
  18. I know this is a marketing event for you guys, but still, that's pretty cool. Most of us don't get to try it before we buy it to see if the reality measures up to the hype. If I don't get to make it, I hope you adequately fund your retirement. ;)
  19.     Well, I sit corrected and now it's clear as mud. My thinking is, they'll still wand, and if somehow you get past the wand (like if you go to eat/drink at the Petronas club beforehand) and they find out, they will ask you to leave. If you don't, be ready for Metro PD to be called and you will be "trespassed" and all that jazz.
  20. You'll be disappointed then. Bridgestone is not a park, it is a privately owned venue and they wand at every event I've attended. Sorry.
  21. Yea, stereotypes don't always invent themselves. :D
  22. I got pulled over last week. The cop said, "Your eyes look red. Have you been drinking?" I said, "Your eyes look glazed. Have you been eating donuts?" :D
  23. That's probably because the qualities you guys look for don't really matter to us. Same thing with playing music. When I screw up a tiny bit, I assume everyone hears it, but nobody does. The "consumer" is appreciating the overall effect, not every technical detail.
