Two things that I have learned is that 99% of people completely suck at driving and that 100% of people believe they are part of the 1% that don't.

Yea, I'm sure I can find a cheaper policy, but my State Farm service rocks. In 2012 we got nailed with a hail storm. Totaled my wife's car, did thousands in damage to my truck, destroyed my roof and siding, and killed my shed's roof - over $30,000 in damage in all. No fuss at all getting everything estimated. SF inspector actually estimated more than the roofing contractor. And while my truck was in the shop, the shop called and told me that the original estimate missed some damage and they had to re-file with SF. About two seconds after I hung up with the shop, SF called and said they had already issued an approval on the updated cost. I will be double-checking my policy due to OhShoot's comments though. I don't know what it says about valuable items, etc, so I do want to be covered.

You're obviously 100% right about the law. But sometimes a fella just needs an ass whoopin', and this is a perfect example of that. I'd gladly give it to him knowing full well the consequences that come with my actions and I wouldn't for a second ask forgiveness for dishing out what was so desperately needed. In fact, I'd request the key to the city.

Only one needs to go to jail, and that's the driver of the truck. If you're a big enough man to use a 6,000 pound truck as a weapon against someone on a 500 pound motorcycle, you're a big enough man to take the severe ass beating in self defense that comes along with that choice. Honestly, I would have contributed to a Go Fund Me account for legal defense if the guy in the black helmet had taken it off and used it on the limp d*** piece of s*** in the truck. Hell, I would have gone to law school just to be his lawyer. ;) I'll say this: The guy in the black helmet showed about 99.9999999% more restraint than I would have. There is no doubt in my mind that had I been him, the driver of the truck would have walked with a limp for the rest of his life and drank his meals through a straw for a good part of it.

They also make Tacomas and Tundras. No truck in my driveway will ever say anything but, "Toyota. Oh what a feeling." My current ride is an '08 Tundra Limited.

And so the student has become the master. ;)

ATF 41P Update
LagerHead replied to FightingSheepDog's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Agreed. It's kinda like the Fed: Every now and then a politician who needs a few votes will huff and puff and promise to do something about these agencies that are outside the law knowing full well that it will never get enough votes to go anywhere. They can then show that they "introduced a bill" to do something worthwhile and blame its failure on everyone else. -
Army chief '99.9 percent' confident no one was harmed by anthrax
LagerHead replied to crossfire's topic in General Chat
Yea, I'm not exactly sure how an "accidental shipment" can involve "no human error." I'd say human error is pretty much implied by the phrase, "accidental shipment." -
Sorry, but Bonham is, was, and always will be THE man when it comes to drummers. The only modern drummer that I think comes close is Danny Carey of Tool. Of course there's also Stanton Moore of Galactic. He's pretty phenomenal. And Keith Carlock. Oh yea, that dude can shred. Yea, Neil can shred, but he ain't in the top five in my not even close to humble opinion. ;)

Dude, that made me chuckle heartily. Not all Subaru owners are like that. I'm not a Subaru owner (yet) but my wife wants one when we move out west. Well, at least an all wheel drive of some sort to deal with the snow.

ATF 41P Update
LagerHead replied to FightingSheepDog's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Does the NRA have any power when it comes to BATFE? I was under the impression that BATFE was like the EPA: We make the laws and screw you if you don't like them. In other words, they are above the law. -
That's sure some food for thought. I don't feel that crimes related to firearms should be their own special class, except for the possession of one by a violent felon. I also believe that at least non-violent felons should get their rights to own firearms and vote back after their sentence is served. It's a shame that someone who made a mistake when they were 19 but then is a contributing member of society for the rest of his life is denied his right to self defense after we tell him he has paid his debt to society. Well, has he or hasn't he?

Why work at it? Let the sharpener do the work. And it will sharpen knives, scissors, yard tools, etc. You can sharpen a whole drawer full of knives in ten minutes with this. http://www.amazon.com/Work-Sharp-WSKTS-Knife-Sharpener/dp/B003IT5F14

Had a pretty good Memorial Day weekend

It's not often that I'm jealous of a kid... -
I hope you're right. Gotta get my Tupac on. I can't wait until he releases his next album.

So does silicone.

It's not the same thing. A rifle can't act like anything. It's simply a pile of metal and plastic parts. However, when a group of guys gets together and acts like a gang they shouldn't be surprised or offended when they get called "gangs." Note that I am not generalizing motorcycle clubs. I ride. I have ridden since I was 7 years old. I have never been an MC member, nor do I desire to become one. But these guys were thugs and punks. It really doesn't matter how they were labeled. They earned whatever names they were called.
-
They shot at cops. They killed 8 people probably because someone insulted their fragile egos or some similar "transgression." Gang, club, group; doesn't matter how you frame it, they're scumbags. They deserve every second they spend in jail and then some.

Has a small issue yesterday in Cookville!
LagerHead replied to bersaguy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
There is no place immune from this kind of stuff, even small, out of the way towns. It's just a part of life nowadays and the reason we all carry. Of course some areas are more prone to this kind of event. -
Lawmaker Says Memphis In May Breaking The Law
LagerHead replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Put your head the same place they have theirs. It will become clear to you, I promise. -
His point was correct, though. The law is what makes it illegal. Says so right there in the print. If there wasn't a law making it illegal, it would be legal. In other words, if there was no 39-17-1307, what would make it illegal? Nothing.

Despite new law, guns still banned at Memphis in May
LagerHead replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Honestly, I can see how someone who is not a lawyer could be confused by the wording of the law. After all, it starts out saying: But then it clearly goes on to state later: Unless I am totally out of my gourd - which is not outside the realm of possibility, it is saying you can post unless your event, etc. is taking place at a "park." -
You can say where you were shooting. Just don't become a walking billboard, if you know what I mean.

You don't think Brady and Moms Demand Action could use the extra help?
