  1. I think the environment in which a doctor works is one of the most important factors in how they treat their patients. I worked in and around hospitals for a number of years and my admittedly anecdotal experience tells me that doctors that are impersonal seem to all work in close proximity to each other. This tells me more about their environment than their personalities. I believe it boils down to the old adage, "Attitude reflects leadership."
  2. Guys, this will be the first, last, and only warning for trolling. If you have a problem with someone, man up and talk to that person face to face, not anonymously on an Internet forum. Or for that matter, not out in the open on THIS Internet forum. TGO will NOT be the conduit for you to attempt to trash someone who hurt your feelings. If you require counseling, I can recommend a good therapist.
  3.     Attitude reflects leadership. It's as simple as that. If a manager lets his/her employees get away with treating customers like crap, they will do it (provided it's in their nature in the first place). If they lay down the law and set a good example, they will have employees that will do the same. It's that simple.
  4. The mom of that kid is one day going to be asking, "Where did I go wrong?" and then someone is going to show here this video. Well, at least the kid knows his mom will visit him in prison...during the brief periods when she's not in herself.   ETA: I thought that UFC fighting stance the blonde had at the beginning was going to serve her better. Hmmm. Guess I better reconsider my "X stance." :D
  5.   You dummy. That's not agenda. That's vagina. :D
  6. You would think an IT guy would have gone to Google first, but I ain't got the smarts apparently. Dillon recommends 30 weight oil for the shaft and grease for the pivot pins. I never noticed it had a grease zerk before. Guess I'll get a grease gun to ensure the pivot pins are sufficiently lubricated. Thanks for the responses, folks.
  7. Just wondering what you all use to oil the piston in your press. Mine hasn't seen much use lately and today I pulled the handle a couple of times and it is DRY.
  8. Here's one thing I have found to be true: 99% of the people in America can't drive for shit. And 100% of people in American think they're part of the other 1%. ;)
  9. To be clear, the finish is like the top pic, but the blade shape is like the bottom. Also, the buttons will be black lip mother of pearl.
  10. Any chance you could post some pics of the earlier runs to give us an idea? I wasn't in on them.
  11. I hadn't seen the EdgePro before. I just watched the video on it. It appears that it is everything Lansky wishes it was and more. I might just have to make that investment when I finally get around to getting some really high quality kitchen knives.
  12.   I believe you did mention that. Sorry, I forgot. :D
  13.   Why not? I readily admit that I don't have any knives that would bring a tear to my eye if they got damaged, but I've never even come close to damaging a knife. I don't always use the course belt, though. Sometimes I just hit the knife a couple of times with the fine and then I'm done.
  14.   Yes you do. More people carrying and dealing appropriately with these situations. ;)
  15. I have used Waze too. I especially like the reporting speed traps. Not that I need that. ;)
  16.   The two situations are not analogous. You don't own your "spot" in traffic. And me being in front of you on a motorcycle is in no way going to hamper your progress. Trust me, if I am on a motorcycle and you can see my tail lights, it's because I just passed you. Give me about five seconds and your slow ass cage will be nothing but a fleeting memory. You don't have to slow down. You don't have to alter your plans. All you gotta do is continue sipping your latte while reading the paper, talking on the phone, shaving, and clipping your toe nails all while attempting to drive.   (The "you" is not you, it's just a random person.)
  17.   I think only the front tires are getting replaced, so I think $300 is a pretty reasonable estimate.
  18.   Well, struts will probably run you between $150 - 200 (if you buy from them) and an alignment is generally around $100. I'm guessing another $300 for your tires, which puts your total at approximately $800 for parts and $300 for labor. Probably a bit more than I would want to pay, but I can install my own struts. It doesn't sound unreasonable though.
  19.   While I would aggressively defend myself from a cager who tried to use his car as a weapon against me, I go to great lengths to not piss them off in the first place. I also don't shoot at Apaches with my 9mm for the exact same reason. It's just not smart to piss off people who have you so outgunned.
  20.   Wait, didn't you say you worked for Shell? This can't be right. I know because the media told me so, that those damn evil oil companies would have just rolled your body off the rig into the ocean, so the drugs must still be affecting your brain. Seriously, you work for Greenpeace, don't you? ;)   In all seriousness, let us know how you're doing these days.
  21. Charlie is definitely a great guy. I haven't been there in far too long as well. Need to get down there and sight in my AR.
  22.   Well, you obviously haven't played Call of Duty or you would know better. ;)
  23.   That is not premeditation. Please stop accusing other members of being criminals.   No, that's an opinion. If you're not sure of the difference, please let me know and I will gladly explain it. Even if you're a psychiatrist, i.e. hold an M.D., that's still an opinion. And THAT is a fact.
