  1. There's dumb, there's stupid, and there's this guy. I mean he took being a dumbass and turned that stuff up to 11.
  2. I'm not much of a revolver guy, but that thing is purty.
  3.   As long as you leave the grip safety and mag release in, it's not a big deal. You just need to learn to use a punch as a guide for a pin in one or two places and you're set. Oh, and keep track of that teeny tiny striker safety spring.
  4. Meh. Don't agree with the site; don't go there. Kinda like TGO. There are plenty who would love to do the same to folks here, I'm sure.
  5.   Sorry if it came across as if I was implying you dishonored the flag. That was never my intention. My intention was simply to point out that the folks who have not flying theirs at half mast are actually doing the right thing. Of course that was before I learned that Haslam ordered it lowered.
  6.   I didn't realize Haslam had called for the flag to be lowered. But if you want the flag honored properly, you should indeed wait for the order from the governor or President. Just like we get pissed when someone dishonors the flag by wearing it as a garment, stepping on it, etc. you should honor it by following the flag code and only lowering it when called to do so. This isn't about Obama. It's about respecting the flag and the code that is in place to ensure consistent handling of it.
  7. I watched the videos. It looks pretty easy. You shouldn't have any problems, but if you do, my offer still stands.
  8. I did the Powder River Precision kit on both my XD and XDm. Not sure how the Springer kit is different, but like JPR said, the XD/XDm are pretty simple inside, so once you get going it's easy to see how things work together. I will watch the videos and see how they differ. If you get stuck, PM me and I'll send you my phone number and see if I can help out.
  9.   Well, I hate to get technical about this, but the places around Fort Campbell are actually wrong. As distasteful as it may seem, soldiers getting shot and killed is not justification under the current code to lower the flag to half mast. However, the President does have the authority to call for it to be lowered in times of tragedy that aren't covered in the flag code. Now, you could make a pretty good argument that this is a situation in which he should exercise that power, and rightfully so. But until he does so, flags should be kept flying high.
  10. I have always had a problem with TFA's language. 99% of this message is 100% spot on and problem free. But when you call someone feckless, embarrassing, and a disgrace, you put that person on the defensive and cause them to dig in their heels. That is the exact opposite of what we need. A better approach might have been to point out that the Tennessee State Constitution allows for the legislature "to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime," and then pointing out that none of our regulations actually do that. Demonstrate that despite our gun laws getting more and more permissive we do not see an increase in crime, even as the areas in which we are allowed to carry grows and grows.   There are plenty of data out there that support a pro-gun position, so you really don't need to resort to the tired old gun control tactic of name calling to get your point across. I think we have all seen that it never has the desired effect. Just my $0.02.
  11. I work with a guy who makes Kydex holsters. Lives in Burns but works downtown Nashville. He has made a few for me. If the guy in Clarksville doesn't work out, PM me and I'll get you his info.
  12. The model numbers make perfect sense if you know how they arrive at them. Each model number is the number of times you have to tell yourself the gun isn't ugly before you start to believe it.
  13.   Still a politician. Notice he couldn't give a straight answer to a simple question until pressed. Even then he seemed to contradict himself. I would take a principled politician with whom I disagree over one who flaps like a flag in the wind.
  14.   Well with all those 55 gallon barrels of lube, they should be able to accomplish that with ease. :D
  15.   I wish I could tell how many times I have seen this. One thing I have learned is that no amount of jail time, punishment, threats of life in prison, etc. will make a damn bit of difference until a person decides for themselves that they need to change their behavior. Then, and only then, will they begin to act like an adult.
  16. They are less than ten minutes from my house! YES!!!
  17. The part I hate the most is they did away with the "Shuffle All" at the top of your song list. That is how I generally listen to music. Now I have to tell Siri to do it. And if I don't have an Internet connection, I guess it's, "Screw you, El Conquistador." (My phone calls me El Conquistador.)
  18.   It doesn't appear so. If you watch his reload when he cants the gun to the right, you can see through the trigger guard and I don't see any finger there.
  19.   I don't know why he was so upset. His weapon wasn't concealed.
  20. Lubricity? I hope you're wearing a purple hat with a big feather in it when you use such a pimp word.
  21.   I think a little homemade justice wouldn't be unwarranted (no pun intended) at this point.
  22.   How does she do that without leaving the kitchen? I'm confused.
  23.   Yes. But most of the country was laughing with you, so you're not alone.
  24. Yea, that thing is quite the looker. Agree with Caster: The handle is awesome.
