I agree with Pig. A .40 or .45 with good ammo is just as good a choice. I don't like having to search for ammo, so my opinion is slanted that way. But if you just must have it, don't let any of us talk you out of it either.

I have the green and stainless one too, but in .40. Love it and my wife's XD9SC. Springfield is giving Glock a run for their money. Ditto on my .40 on both the offer to shoot and the lack of malfunctions. Though since I haven't had anybody limp wrist mine so far, I have had zero malfunctions. Unless you count when I went to CIS class and drew my paddle holster with the gun once.

I would never carry a gun that I didn't feel comfortable doing so with a round in the chamber. If I wanted something to throw at a bad guy, I would have bought a rock.

Me too. It's immature, I know, but I will flip out much easier when I am unarmed. Not only does my perspective change, but the off chance that someone may accuse me of brandishing helps keep me in check. Kinda the opposite of what the anti's think, ain't it?
