  1. You read my point backwards. I meant the schools should have the guts to send the kid home. What the parent does as a result is their business. If they want their kid to behave at school, they better apply the appropriate discipline at home. And I never said schools shouldn't discipline my kids. But they better keep their hands off them.
  2. I disagree. It's the parents that don't discipline their kids that's the problem. It is not the schools' job to do what parents should be doing. And because of that, if the kids are out of control, send their sorry little butts home. If the parent doesn't rectify the situation, the kid can stay home. There is only one other person who has a right to lay a hand on my children, and she gave birth to them. Other than that, you better keep your hands in your pockets.
  3. I will help. Do I need to fill out anything on the New Group Information Packet, or just sign and mail you the release form?
  4. I don't care what my kids do, if a teacher ever put a hand on them, I would personally beat them to within an inch of their lives. Teaching discipline is my job, and my job alone. If my kid can't be handled by the school system they have the option to kick them out of school. They do not have the option to physically discipline my child. Because I do my job properly, I don't have to worry about it though. My kids know that their teachers aren't to touch them, but if it ever came even close to necessary, they know they would have to answer to me. I hope the teacher loses his job, and gets an ass whoopin' to boot.
  5. Semper Fi. Thank you for your service. Keep your head down and listen to your NCO's. Ignore the officers.
  6. Yep. But the fans pay their salaries voluntarily. 50 million: 50 million seconds is 83,333.33 minutes, 13,888.88 hours, 578 days. The 1.2 trillion spent by Obama so far (and he's only 1/4 way through his term, boys and girls): 31,666,666,666.66 minutes, 527,777,777.77 hours, 21,990,740.74 days, 60,248 years, 600.248 centuries, 60.248 millenia Sure, we'll reduce that deficit.
  7. Actually, if you're consuming adult beverages, it has an effect on your sense of taste. After a few, you're not going to get the full effect if you...you know...swallow. There. I said it.
  8. You're busted dude. We now know that you were on MSNBC. Shame, shame, we know your name.
  9. They should contact some of the Military Intelligence units in the National Guard. Many of them have direction finding capabilities that can pinpoint a transceivers location very precisely. Then they can call artillery on his position. Or send the cops. Whatever.
  10. My brother used to say that all the time, except he said 3. Either way, no way it can be proven. I called BS on him too. YOU TAKE THAT BACK, YOU...oh, I see now. Unless it's a Smart Car. Then it's like 3.5 times longer. Reviews of the Bible, the Glock, or the clock? Probably because of the name. Yea, I probably wouldn't bother either. I'd probably just shoot myself. I gotta ask: How do they know that? Did they show a picture to a sheep, and the sheep said, "Hey, that's Bob. I recognize him."? And damn it, it should be! And damn it, there should be! Yea, it's the blind ones that are out there driving that scare me. Gotta love the government and all it does for you! Plants aren't the only thing. Lamborghini was also a farm equipment manufacturer. It is also so fast, that it can reach 200MPH faster than the McClaren F1, the fastest car in the world prior to the Veyron's release, even if the F1 gets to 110MPH before the Veyron moves. That's fast. Hindsight. 20/20. Sounds like she's a jinx. Mike Tyson lives in NYC, doesn't he?
  11. Is it just me, or does this sound exactly like the Obama administration and his cronies in the House and Senate?
  12. I'm sure you mean 3 Wolf Moon power. ...were the last words ever spoken by BillWilly. Exactly. Maybe even an extra wolf on his boxers.
  13. Congrats on the permit. Sorry to hear about the Kimber.
  14. That's because you're one of his people. You want him to be a successful productive member of society because it benefits us all. They want him to be a drain on society because it gives them something to feel guilty about.
  15. Does it take up more storage space?

  17. Great news. One more on the side of good!
  18. I agree. My older brother was never spanked once. My younger brother maybe twice. I got plenty. My older brother now lives in a different country because he can't come back to the U.S. or he will have to start paying child support for his 4 children by 3 women, two of whom he was married to at the same time. My younger brother spent 8 years in prison, and appears he may be heading for a "3 strikes" sentence of 25 to life. I have served in the Army and held a job since I was 15, with a few months exception; been married to one, and only one, woman for 16.5 years, have two kids that are very well behaved (both have been spanked a few times, when they were toddlers) and get all A's and B's in school. My son was the only 4th grader in his school to get straight A's the entire year last year and my daughter was the only person in her whole school to get a 100% on an English benchmark test recently. [/bRAGGING] Coincidence? Maybe, but I see direct parallels in the behavior my brothers were allowed to get away with, and the way they act now. I personally believe that spanking, and especially the threat of it, can be a very effective teaching and discipline tool.

  20. Very true. They are so close to the Glock that you can use a Glock take down video on youtube to disassemble and assemble it. And that's the post lawsuit version.
  21. Dmark, I noticed all of those things too. Easy Company definitely was not shown in a negative light; at least not enough to notice. But the boys from 1st Marine Division, while being shown as brave warriors in fighting, are showing a bit less professionalism. More realistic maybe? I don't know, I wasn't in either place. But as soon as Chesty Puller came walking by that first time, they should have explained who he was. Or maybe that will come later?
  22. When I was 17 I went from my friend's girlfriend's house to pick up my friend. On the way back, my brother and friends "encouraged" me to see how fast I could make it back. For those of that are familiar with Ft. Campbell, I was going from the part of Hammond Heights north of the gate 5 road, to Stryker village, east of where the MP station is (was?) on Indiana Ave. Anyway, an MP on Indiana Ave, about 1/4 mile from where I was saw me hauling @$$ and turned on the lights and chased me into Stryker. My friends were always calling out "COP" as a joke, and this time I ignored them, thinking it was another joke, and didn't even check the rear view. So when they convince me they're not joking and I pull over, the MP is justifiably peeved, both because I was really cooking, and because he didn't have radar in his car (the speed checking device, not the mailman from MASH). So he finds some other things to write me up for. I got a ticket for a busted windshield, one missing windshield wiper, and a busted taillight. They also escort me to the MP station where they call my father and tell him the story. When they tell him what happened, the MP made the mistake of telling my dad that they were going to write me up for the 3 aforementioned violations and "whatever else I can come up with." That's a direct quote. My dad then commences to chewing the @$$ of this unlucky Staff Sergeant and his supervisor. A month later, car fixed, we went down to some office and had all 3 tickets dismissed. But after that, I couldn't break wind in that car without getting pulled over by the MP's.
  23. I had a Sigma for a few months. It jammed constantly, had stovepipes, failure to feed, etc. Traded up for an XD in .40 and haven't looked back since. My advice, based solely on my experience: save up and get an XD, Glock, or M&P - something that has a reputation for reliability.
  24. Welcome. After a while the strange feeling will be going somewhere without your gun, instead of with it.
  25. Here's my question: Does the U.S. Constitution not ban states from making laws that infringe on our right to bear arms? Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. ... Amendment 10 - Powers of the States and People. Ratified 12/15/1791. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. It seems to me that the 10th Amendment prohibits the state from passing laws that infringe on your 2nd Amendment rights. If "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed," that seems to me to be "prohibited by it [the Constitution]." So just because it's a law, doesn't make it right. Maybe our lawyers on here can point out the flaw in my argument, other than the fact that the 2nd Amendment hasn't been "incorporated," which is another crock of B.S. that hopefully will be resolved in June. And another thing. I have been poor too. I don't care what your situation was when you were poor, my situation was that I couldn't afford a gun and $300 in classes and fees, period. So it did result in being a de facto ban on the poor to me.
