  1. I actually like that part. One of my gripes about forums has always been that you couldn't tell when a thread was started before clicking on it. I don't generally get involved in threads that were started in 1987 and revived yesterday, so this is a plus for me. I agree here, but it's a minor gripe for me. Overall, I like it. Definitely much more "professional" looking.
  2. Woke up, went shooting, came home, showered, went to work. Now I can finally get on TGO!
  3. On the plus side, you've gotten quite an education in a short period of time, both on guns and attitudes. ;-) I'll echo Gregg's suggestion: shoot a bunch of different types of guns, including semi-autos. You may not be used to them now, but you may find you like them better, especially with the higher capacities that they will allow you to carry. On another note: I actually learned to shoot semi-autos before revolvers, so my first experience with a revolver was funny too. In my case, the revolver wasn't new, and the cylinder was loose, so it wouldn't go back in. It took me a bit to figure out what was going on. Oh well. Live and learn.
  4. I don't know if I can support an Air Force that bombs MILF's.
  5. Some people just don't want to like guns. I have friends, male and female, that even when they concede that all your facts are better than all of theirs, they just cop out with, "I just don't like them." Not much you can do after that. Well, if he did lie, no doubt it's Bush's fault. Dude, I read "baby sitter" too. That's funny.
  6. I went to jump school in Georgia. Does that get me any points? Welcome to TGO.
  7. Sure we do. What surprises me is he is making blatantly anti-gun comments on a blatantly pro-gun board and is shocked when there's a backlash!
  8. And it's not like this is phenomena isolated specifically to TN, or the South. There are people with mixed up priorities (if they're neglecting children, etc in favor of a truck, for example) everywhere. Again, not isolated to restaurants. This could happen anywhere. A missed shot is a missed shot, regardless of locale. Brady, VPC, and FSA and their ilk have been making that EXACT argument for years in opposition to legal carry. Not just in restaurants, but in stores, businesses, parking lots - hell, everywhere. But despite the surge in firearm sales and carry permits nationwide, this has just not come to pass. She has to be from Kalifornia then. If she was from Tennessee she would have been drunk, in Daisy Dukes and a halter top, on top of the bar yelling and whistling through the gap where her two front teeth are missing. The instances of "friendly fire" by permit holders is so low, it barely deserves mentioning. Granted, one is too many - and I sincerely believe that - but this is a scenario that just barely ever happens.
  9. Doesn't he know the he sucks, and HK hates him?
  10. You guys have great taste. It doesn't get a whole lot better than Maredsous.
  11. I wish I lived near Memphis. I would definitely take you up on that offer! Great idea.
  12. Chunkee, In case you are not able to hook up with someone else to zero, here is how you do it. AR-15 Zeroing
  13. The more you deal with cops, the more you realize the nervousness in not necessary. 99% are working schmucks like the rest of us that want to do their jobs and go home and beat...er I mean hug and kiss the wife and kids. Dude, this had me laughing out loud. Some people are so stupid they're just funny.
  14. And fed it wedding cake.
  15. "Let it go" is a nice way of saying "grow up." At least that's how I'm reading it.
  16. This isn't cop bashing. This is stupid driver bashing. I hate the idiots that won't pass a cop regardless of his speed. You are allowed to do the speed limit even when a cop is present.
  17. It was me. But somebody hit from behind and took the ticket.
  18. Dang. The best I can do is 1.25 inches.
  19. That's what you say as an amateur radio operator. But what do you say as a little Filipino girl?
  20. I don't see it as a generational thing. It's an attitude thing. I know plenty of people that are much older than I am that are useless. My generation didn't spawn Jane Fonda, but then again it did spawn Obama. We didn't spawn Soros, but we did spawn Michael Moore. I know druggies that are 60, and I know druggies that aren't yet 30. And again, if these kids' parents didn't teach them they were entitled to all this bull, they wouldn't think it. There are even plenty of hard working people that spread this B.S., because they don't think their kids should have to work as hard as they do. Bull. If you want the rewards, you have to put in your time, effort, and sometimes money and soul. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you die tryin', and it doesn't matter if you're 28 or 98. By the way, I'm 36, so I don't fall in the group, but I just don't think it's fair to demonize a whole generation because of the failings of some. Hell, I could do the same for those that were in that age group during Vietnam because who stood up for the returning soldiers that were being spit upon, for example? Was it the fault of the whole generation, or just a sign of the times?
  21. Brilliant. Prager really summed up what it means to be American. In about 20 different ways!
  22. And in your honor, I have blatantly stolen that for my sig line.
  23. He is the textbook definition of a lying sack of . I wouldn't spare a drop of piss for him if he was on fire.
