  1. What? I was ignoring all of you.
  2. Because somebody who makes $100,000/year doing 20 over the speed limit is breaking the law more than somebody making $50,000/year doing 20 over, right? Should they also get bigger penalties for shoplifting, murder, rape? No, it's socialist wealth redistribution BS, plain and simple.
  3. Spot on. I recently upgraded - yea, that's right, upgraded - from Blackberry Curve to the Droid X. It's crack-tastic. Huge screen, wi-fi connectivity, 3G is pretty quick too, lots of cool apps, nice widgets, camera could be better, but could be much worse. I love it. I don't have the corporate e-mail connector on it, and it sounds like you won't either. Gmail works great with the "Universal Inbox" that keeps all your messages, regardless of type in one spot. You can also go to just your texts or just your e-mail. Comes with 16GB MicroSD card, located in the battery compartment. Easily upgradable in about 1 minute. It uses the battery, so it will need to be charged at least daily, depending on how much you use it. Car charger is suggested if you are out a lot. Get the Zagg Invisishield rather than the Verizon Droid X screen protector. The Verizon one only covers the display area of the screen, not the bottom which is also glass or plastic or whatever it is. I also had a little trouble with my Verizon ones on installation. They're on fine now, just sayin'. In short, I don't regret the switch. The Droid X rocks. Especially if you like all the extra stuff.
  4. So funny. So true. Nope. He used HIS MIND!!! Telekinesis!
  5. The fastest I've ever been is about 140 in a Porsche 944 Turbo on the Autobahn. I was a passenger for that. Driving I have only gotten to about 120.
  6. It sure was nice of them to let you get a mag in. I love shooting with my kids. Great pics.
  7. Awesome. I'm going to have to pick that up for my wife since she is a lifetime member of the Zombie Research Society.
  8. Hearing all this makes me want one even more. Like said before, they are gorgeous and now that I know that most owners love them...well, just makes it worse.
  9. What a loaded question (no pun intended). My guess is the company lawyer reads that as "it's prohibited unless state law expressly permits it." i.e. if state law says you can keep it in your car regardless of company policy, then you can. Otherwise, no-no. If it's that big of a deal, it's time to ask.
  10. Same here on all counts. Just got the Droid X last Friday and I'm loving it. Blackberry is ok, iPhone is pretty darn cool, but the Droid kicks everybody's butt, in my not-so-humble opinion.
  11. I think most officers in right to carry states have a very similar attitude. This is of course a question/concern raised at any class taught by current or former LEO's, and every time I've heard it asked here in TN, the response is the same: at least 95% of the cops are not anti-concealed carry citizen. It's when they get to "political" positions like Chief of Police that they start to be more that way, at least publicly. I have had many traffic stops in this area due to a condition called ferrous pedus (lead foot) and only one has been negative, but it was before I even carried. The officer in question has been a total prick to at least two other people I know, so he gets around and makes a bad name for metro. But the rest have been courteous even when carrying. I'm pro cop, so no more tickets, ok?
  12. I am working on that myself. It was be at least a year before I am there though. After that, tackle the house. Congrats to you Kegger.
  13. As a life long geek I am actually bound by law to see this. I will be there.
  14. Sheesh. The lengths to which some people will go to avoid a little work! Seriously though, we're glad you pulled through ok. Take it easy.
  15. That's because the ones who are fit to serve realize that the phrase "career politician" is an abomination. Or is it Obamanation?
  16. My stepmother was concerned about this as well, so I took my gun out - which is an XD, but operates very similarly - emptied it and showed her it was empty. I then threw it on the ground. I didn't drop it, I threw it, with force. Actually it was on the carpeted floor, but it was hard enough that if the gun was going to go off without pulling the trigger, it definitely would have. More than a 3 story drop's worth of force. I then showed her that it still went "click" when I pulled the trigger. I did this about 5 times total and it never fired without the trigger being pulled. Feel free to try it yourself. It won't shoot unless you pull the trigger. Or watch this video. If seeing the video and trying it yourself don't convince you, then carry how you see fit. Hope this helps.
  17. I would have bet money against that. That's a rare video for sure.
  18. RFID tags can't be tracked outside of the store, or maybe as far as the parking lot anyway. You have to have a receiver to track them. So as far as spying on you, not so much.
  19. I know it's a mini-series, but Band of Brothers is it for my money. If you don't accept that, Saving Private Ryan is pretty good.
  20. I'm thinking either Zombieland or Hot Fuzz.
  21. The biggest gotcha is they are closed the first full weekend of the month. Don't forget or you'll be disappointed when you show up to a chained-off entrance.
  22. Very nice gun. I'm especially jealous of that scope. Soon my friend. Soon.
  23. Maybe, but in our political society, nothing is gained without some concessions. Those concessions were given in return for a promise by Democrats to secure the border. In the end, the Democrats got what they wanted without delivering on their promise. I'd say Reagan deserves somewhat of a break here.
