Who gets their news, statistics and facts from the NYT anymore? Really, who does that? According to ratings, Fox's 3 a.m. news show (3 AM!) has more viewers than CNN's primetime news and morning shows combined! It has become clear to all but the looniest on the left that if you want pravda, you watch CNMSNABC, if you want the facts, you tune to Fox. Conservatives the minority? 20%? That explains the 49% of the vote that McCain got. (Nice guy, would fit right in to Zell Millers' democratic party). Fact is, the Nobel peace prize, for the last 40 years, has been given to anyone who 1) advocates the destruction of Israel or 2) advocates the destruction of the US. In that light, I'd say Obama was quite deserving of the prize. A man is known by the company he keeps. I'm getting pretty tired of being called a racist. Last time I checked, socialism isn't a racial characteristic. I would like to request that a moderator make a formal determination here. If I were to accuse CK1 or Ralph of being liars or morons, would that be a violation of the TOS? And if so, how is their accusation different? I realize that debating the left is akin to the special olympics; they seem to be entitled to their own rules of debate and standards of conduct. I must agree that their arguments aren't competitive otherwise. The subsequent debate is doubtless entertaining, but almost never productive. You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into. By the way, thanks for the ignore feature. Otherwise this forum would be too much like being trapped in an elevator listening to Manilow and Streisand muzak. Feelings, nothing more than feelings....

Definitely agree on the bolt tool. I have one, and unless you have 3 hands, it is darn near impossible to disassemble the bolt without it. Great for refining your cussin' skills, though. Also agree strongly with Mikes' suggestion - swap the bolt to another rifle to find out which assembly is causing problems.

12 ga. in all sorts of flavors is widely available. I have "several" HD shotguns. One is a semi-auto, the others are pump guns. Downsides to a semi-auto are 1) the weight 2) the possibility of a jam 3) the weight 4) the cost. The only upside I am aware of is that you don't have to worry about 'short stroking' the action. If you must have a semi-auto, and price is a factor, then check local pawnshops, gunshops and gunbroker for a good-condition Remington Mdl 11. I picked one up for about $250 shipped, with TICS fee. I supplied the hacksaw, butt-cuff for spare rounds, and glow-sights - figure another 15 bucks. Racking the shotgun for sound effects is all very well and good - but you've just advertised your position, and he's probably armed. As far as I'm concerned, if he has broken into my house, that is all the info I need about his intentions. If all the intruder hears is 'click' BANG, it is certain he will get the message you are trying to convey.

First, Tower, please don't feed the troll... second, Why should I take any actions to not be labeled as a racist? I'm not one, but by now I am not hypersensitive about being called one. Its' like asking what actions should I avoid taking to be labeled a car thief (aside from stealing cars, I mean). As for what I should do after being called a racist, aside from pointing out the obvious (it has nothing to do with race, so they are either mistaken, or are deliberately lying) I don't intend to do a thing. What would you do if someone accused you of beating your wife? Move out of the house? Unfortunately dueling is outlawed, some folks don't understand the meaning of the term "fighting words", and if I spent all day kicking the butts of fools, tools, and socialists, I'd be a tired boy and get no work done.
