  1. Chipmunk recipes? You have one for Chipmunk on a stick? "Lord, forgive me for the men I have killed... and those I am about to."
  2. Got shovel? Cost will go up, quality will go down, services will be curtailed, red tape will entangle everything. About as difficult to predict as the direction of sunrise.
  3. RealClearPolitics - Video - Stupak: "Legitimate" For BP Escrow Account To Fund Health Care You were saying?
  4. Lovely sentiments, but it won't work. The feds not only don't want to secure the border, they will not allow it. The first armed citizen group that shows up will be arrested and persecuted* (for years, if necessary) by federal agents for everything from conspiricy to failure to water their lawns. * Yeah, prosecuted. Seems like if there is no hope of a conviction, it turns into years of legal persecution, financial ruin, loss of jobs, homes, lives, family and freedom. And it never costs the prosecutor a cent.
  5. I heard similiar excuses during the extortion of the tobacco companies a few years back. All those extorted billions, and pretty much diddly wound up paying for tobacco related illnesses. Lots of cash for state pols to spend on pork, lots of cash for attorneys. What I believe is that it takes a certain amount of naievete to think that a politician with a bunch of cash available is going to spend it in some manner that doesn't benefit him. The very recent, very concrete example of hundreds of billions in various bailout funds disappearing, getting allocated to non-existent congressional districts, going to instant-startup companies that just happen to have friends in high places... fool you twice, shame on you.
  6. What are you saying, the issue wasn't how big a slush fund they could extort? Or ignoring the fact that there are plenty of easier/safer places to drill, if there weren't a political party standing in the way? Bread and circuses. Needs to meet tar and feathers. Thanks for the music, Mike.
  7. I own one, nice piece. Gunsmith that slicked it up said some of the internals were rough/soft, but I haven't had any problems with it - it doesn't get much of a workout, being my wifes' security blanket.
  8. McMillan. Forget HS Precision.
  9. Remember that Star Trek episode about the alternate universe, with the evil Kirk, power hungry Spock and so forth? I think we're there. This administration and Congress haven't made a few mistakes, they've made every mistake possible - and usually in the most harmful way possible.
  10. Yeah, that's as silly as thinking the government would take over private companies, divvy them up according to who the President owes favors to rather than who owns the stock. Almost as goofy as proposing the government would mandate that citizens purchase services, such as health insurance. Might as well break out the tinfoil, before someone suggests that our leaders would stab traditional allies in the back, while funnelling funds and support to dictatorships, socialist regimes, and enemies f the US. Shoot, next thing you know, some conspiracy type will suggest that federal contracts for public works won't be awarded on a cost basis, but rather by whether the company is unionized. Let's not even get into the issue of political appointees at DOJ quashing criminal cases based on race.
  11. They are also recommending cuts in recruitment, the size of the forces, marine vehicles and aircraft, getting out of Europe, Korea, Japan etc. entirely. The advisory panel is a whos-who of socialists, anti American agitators, and far left candidates for the looney bin.
  12. So the guy who fought for Fannie and Freddie right up until the meltdown, then loudly blamed Republicans, now wants to gut defense spending -from recruiting to tricare, and active forces bend over and take it deep (that's the way he rolls, y'know). What could go wrong?
  13. Howdy
  14. Dear Abby, Dear Abby, I live in fear, There's a man with a gun that keeps coming 'round here. He might snap any day, I'm in fear for my life, he must be paranoid, this just isn't right! Signed with a tear, 'Fraidy. Oh Fraidy, dear Fraidy, what should I say? You're around folks with guns on 'most any day, They're ready and able to defend what's right. Now just what are your plans if you get in a fight? Will you run, will you hide, will you give up your purse? And, dear you know, it could well be much worse. The armed live in peace while you live in fear, So tell me again your problem, my dear. Ask that young fellow, he'll be glad to help out. You'll soon have a pistol, instead of a pout... You won't fear for your life, or being out too late, you may even end up (finally) out on a date! Signed, Armed Abby
  15. Well, not like he can keep bragging about how awesome The Won is.
  16. Yeah, they'd all want to ride in the back...
  17. Thanks for the help, Mike. Sue is gonna kill me. And it will be on your conscience for at least ten minutes.
  18. Ain't that the truth! I'm kind of hoping I don't run across a pedestal mount for a 1919...
  19. Yes, I felt a great disturbance in the Farce, as if millions of liberals were suddenly silenced... Help us, Onlywon, you're our only hope.
  20. Nice pic, SunTzu! Yep, Titan14 pulled my bacon out of the fire (or at least my truck out of the ditch). Seems that two dead cylinders have an effect... Markings: bumper numbers are the WWII version of my brothers unit. Hood numbers also mean something. As for finding one, many of my replacement parts came from Midwest Military. He has a couple nice ones on his vehicles page... or you could get one cheaper at dodgepowerwagon, keeping in mind that you're likely to need to dump time, money and sweat into it... Mike, I'll get a closeup of the bed art shortly.
  21. Six months ago I bought a "restored" M37 Dodge over the internet. It's been in the shop since a few days after I got it... after six expensive, somewhat frustrating months... almost done. Needs only the hardware and lumber for the troop seats, and the rear canvas.
  22. Yeah, the tennassean is my first choice for reliable.... No point. That fishwrap is so bad it isn't even worth joking about.
  23. Ramsey, here. Wamp never met a bailout he didn't like. The bailouts, cash for clunkers, "stimulus" program, TARP, mortgage bonuses - every one of those boondoggles and political payback scams has proven worse than useless. The economy is shot, jobless rates (real numbers, not the 'made for TV' BS the fed is releasing) is around 20%, 1 in 8 are on food stamps, the national debt is at 83% of GDP - and increasing more than 5 billion a day. Another politician who thinks that bailout money and federal grants come from the money fairy and a big bag of unicorn poo is just what we need.
  24. Iran - Aryan It takes weapons grade stupidium, on par with those who rush straight from their mailbox to the timeshare scam to pick up their free large screen TV, to buy off on the con that Iran and Turkey are trying to pull. The only other explanation is a medical condition commonly treated by a 168gr injection, most effective when applied just below the dishrag.
  25. The Iranians might get ride-along priveleges with the Turks. The Turks are about to ram their wedding tackle into a sausage grinder - but they are looking to provoke a war with Israel anyway, to prove their bona fides with Tehran. Obama is gonna do diddly squat, relying on his "kick me in the nuts" style of diplomacy until it is very much too late. If the Israelis allow their (completely legal and fully justified) blockade to be lifted, it will cause untold deaths in Israel and Gaza. They should just skip the preliminaries and put a couple of fish into the MV Rachel Corrie, and pour ASMs into any turk naval vessel that says boo.
