I'll see your ignorance and raise you 31,000 scientists. Ante up. “I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” - Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever. “Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” - Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.” Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” - UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist. “The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” - Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet. “The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC "are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” - Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico “It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.” - U.S Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg of the Hurricane Research Division of NOAA. “Even doubling or tripling the amount of carbon dioxide will virtually have little impact, as water vapour and water condensed on particles as clouds dominate the worldwide scene and always will.” – . Geoffrey G. Duffy, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering of the University of Auckland, NZ. “After reading [uN IPCC chairman] Pachauri's asinine comment [comparing skeptics to] Flat Earthers, it's hard to remain quiet.” - Climate statistician Dr. William M. Briggs, who specializes in the statistics of forecast evaluation, serves on the American Meteorological Society's Probability and Statistics Committee and is an Associate Editor of Monthly Weather Review. “For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?" - Geologist Dr. David Gee the chairman of the science committee of the 2008 International Geological Congress who has authored 130 plus peer reviewed papers, and is currently at Uppsala University in Sweden. “Gore prompted me to start delving into the science again and I quickly found myself solidly in the skeptic camp…Climate models can at best be useful for explaining climate changes after the fact.” - Meteorologist Hajo Smit of Holland, who reversed his belief in man-made warming to become a skeptic, is a former member of the Dutch UN IPCC committee. “Many [scientists] are now searching for a way to back out quietly (from promoting warming fears), without having their professional careers ruined.” - Atmospheric physicist James A. Peden, formerly of the Space Research and Coordination Center in Pittsburgh. “Creating an ideology pegged to carbon dioxide is a dangerous nonsense…The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle. It became an ideology, which is concerning.” - Environmental Scientist Professor Delgado Domingos of Portugal, the founder of the Numerical Weather Forecast group, has more than 150 published articles. “CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another….Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so…Global warming, as a political vehicle, keeps Europeans in the driver’s seat and developing nations walking barefoot.” - Dr. Takeda Kunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research at Chubu University in Japan.

Haslam-gun owners should be able to keep weapons cars

You can judge a man by the company he keeps, or by the difference between what he says and what he does. -
Mainstream media have shown in the last few years just how far they'll go to whore for the democrat party/socialist agenda. Barry has demonstrated his hatred for traditional american values, and is doing his best to carry out his campaign promise to fundamentally change this country (into a socialist cesspit, aparently). People too blind, stubborn or stupid to see the truth are still trolling on forums... But I can see November from here. The only question I have is how much ballot-box stuffing the democrat party will get away with this time. Probably quite a bit, hopefully not enough to change the results too much.

You want to provide some facts to back these assertions? Otherwise I'm forced to regard your post as trolling. This is my shocked face. I've given up on changing liberal minds, and for that matter 'having a dialogue' with them. I can have a dialogue with a potted plant. Intelligent conversation is what I'm after.

Well, Mike, if you go to the fossil site in Gray and don't swing by the house to say hi to Sue, you're gonna be in deep you-know-what Bring along some .22 and do some shooting!

Repacked my BOB (actually a get-home-bag) today. Weighs in at 50 pounds, though 15 of that is food. Food weight is a self-correcting problem. I use a Gregory bag. No way I'd try to carry that kind of weight in an alice.

Regarding a rebuild kit for the lantern, everything can be cleaned and re used except the generator. Google double mantle lantern ffr for rebuild procedure.

Hi Chris Sorry for the delayed reply. I just reported back to work, so it would be several months before I could send you the stuff - but here is the good news... Unless someone has already gotten at it, there is a full set of spares for your stove inside the shaft of the pump. Just unscrew the stamped metal pump handle. You may have to make or buy a new o ring, but everything else should be there. Coleman still sells the 220 series generator, it is available on their website I have the manual for your stove if you want it (send me a pm) but you probably don't need it, they are pretty simple.

Reconfirmed my 2004 registration was valid last year. Went to vote today, found I had been purged from the rolls. According to the County, new DOJ rules require all military voter registrations to be purged yearly. Military voters must request a form to register in January, then use another form to request an absentee ballot before the election. This is the same DOJ that told Georgia they couldn't purge dead voters and invalid SSN voters from the roles. I am perturbed.

Oh yeah, because Westboro Baptist has thousands of members. Political Correctness is a useful tool that creates tools. Don't be a tool.

Federal Judge Nukes Arizona Illegal Immigration Law
Mark@Sea replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I know this; Illegal immigration isn't a trickle, it's a flood. We might as well not have a border, Arizona justly feels it is the target of a foreign invasion, and the federal government is purposely shirking its' Constitutional responsibility for political gain. Our deficit has more than tripled since Obama took office, and there is no sign the spending will stop. Massive tax increases are coming, massive cuts in Social Security (but you can bet they won't take less from your payroll), massive cuts in health care quality and availability, massive invasion of privacy. Unemployment is now forecasted to continue at current levels or higher for the next 6 years, at least. If Democrats continue to extend unfunded unemployment payments, this will add another trillion dollars a year to the deficit. Uncertainty in tax, liability, finance and investment conditions virtually guarantee that small business is in trouble for the indefinite future, and large business is taking its' jobs offshore as fast as it can. Stimulus, TARP, the unsung bailouts of Freddy and Fanny, the takeover of private corporations, banks, insurance, healthcare - all for the benefit of democrat political cronies - none of this has helped the economy. It has accelerated and deepened the depression. Democrats have shown themselves, by and large, as racist, race-baiting, tax evading liars and thieves. People ain't happy. -
Just thought I'd have a little fun at their expense. They're always throwing out skewed polling in order to slant the results their way...

Todays Journolist story - there was a coordinated media campaign to discredit Palin within minutes of McCain announcing he'd picked her to run as his VP. Not that this is news - anyone with three functioning brain cells figured it out in short order during the campaign - but those who so vehemently denied any such concerted attack should now go find a stool and an extension cord, and do the right thing.

I really don't think that Obama can be compared to Hitler. I see him more as a Lenin.

Awakening From The Collective Dream « Doctor Zero Some exerpts: Gun control is one of many old collectivist fantasies melting away in the harsh light of undeniable truth. Another is the daydream of “alternative energy.†Such technologies will certainly be developed in the long run, but they provide no viable alternative to fossil fuel consumption at the present time. The economic repercussions of fabulously expensive, or tightly rationed, gasoline would be staggering. The retail price of almost all goods would skyrocket, while industries dependent upon cheap and reliable transportation would wither. Imagine the blow to employment that would be delivered by the end of affordable commuting in suburban areas. The “alternative†to oil is not green jobs and clean energy, but unemployed people sitting in the dark. All of collectivism’s dreams are crumbling to dust before the eyes of people who spent their whole lives clinging to them out of desperation, or arrogance. The alternative to ambition and commerce is not “social justice,†but widespread poverty. The absence of growth brings collapse, not sustainability. The Constitutional rights of free people cannot exist alongside “positive rights†provided through redistribution. Abandoning the security of our borders does not produce a melting pot of happy immigrants. The government cannot repeal the laws of supply and demand. The freedom to vote does not render all other freedoms inconsequential. Prosperity for millions cannot be designed by a central committee. Social justice cannot be created by administering controlled viral doses of injustice.
