  1. Savage hog hunter. I just ordered one for $417 from Buds. Should do anything you need it to and it will make a good woods gun with the 20" barrel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Me as well. Great holster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Excellent. Congrats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Where it comes out will depend on how each airport handles it.  When I landed in Denver recently, they brought it out in the special luggage area.  I think it had as much to do with it being in a hardsided pelican case vs. having a gun in it.  It wasn't an oversized case either, just one of the smaller pelican cases.  I would suspect at Panama City that they probably will just put it on the belt with all of the other luggage.  I have never had an issue.
  5. Easy to see what some of the current prices are. http://gunbot.net/ammo/rifle/223/
  6. I think the main reason for this is that they really don't want to trade and this stops some of the stupid trade offers. Basically it says cash only unless you are willing to lose money on your end. I understand why people do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Goes both ways Dave. Let someone start a business where you can bring things back after 12 months if there is an issue and guarantee you will fix or give them their money back. You can call it "I won't be here for long". Both extremes are ridiculous notions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8.   I don't think he is saying he wouldn't be pissed.  He is simply saying that it's hard to hold the retailer responsible and asking a lot to expect them to just take it back.  I actually think all of you are taking the extreme position on both sides.  I don't think the OP was doing much more than venting his frustration.  There are two different issues in his OP.  The first was the AR-15 issue when he had to trade and the second was finding out he had an issue with the 9mm after 8 months.  No mention of how long between when he bought the first one and when he took it back.   So, with all of that said, I think both of you are correct on some of each point.  Here is my simple view on what I would expect.   For the first issue based on what is presented, I would have at least expected Outpost to offer to send the rifle back to CMMG and try to assist the OP with getting it fixed.  I don't expect them to take it in return as every gun shop you see (for the most part) has a policy of any warranty issues need to go through the manufacturer.  On the other hand, most dealers I know will send it to the manufacturer for you as part of their customer service.  If they didn't offer this, then that is a negative on the dealer for me.  Now, if they did offer and the only option the OP wanted was a complete refund, then that is asking a bit much unless maybe it was within 30 day of original purchase (trying to be generous).  Even then, it would depend on the condition of the rifle if I was the dealer.   On the second issue, only shooting it after 8 months, then I am on the side that it is on the buyer.  At that point I think the only thing the dealer is obligated to do is again offer to send it to the manufacturer for you, even if you have to pay for it.  FFL's typically get very good rates, so the cost shouldn't be a big deterrent.  Expecting a dealer to take back a gun after 8 months is ludicrous in my view.  To be fair, the OP never said he was expecting them to take it back, I think he was just frustrated with it not working and it doesn't help the Outpost employee recommended it.   As with anything, I think the issue comes down to something pretty simple.  We all hope that someone can empathize with our issue.  Some dealers are good at it and will try to do what they can to help even if it isn't really their issue.  These are the ones we like.  Then there are those who act like they couldn't give two craps and it only creates a bigger issue when we get pissed, but in the end there is very little we can do about it other than tell others of our experience.  Then there is a third which is just a douchebag buyer.  I actually think this is more rare, but it certainly happens.  In that case, even if the dealers were going to try and help, the buyer sets their own fate.  I am with the dealers on these situations.

Nope, no tax yet. Or at least they didn't on a rifle I purchased there a few days ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Disregard, Brownells had $50 off $300 so that will work. Product is backordered but they still applied the discount so I am ok with that. Thanks for the offer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Me either, mine is ordered. I was seriously considering it when it came up in the other thread for $288. This pushed me over the edge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Within the next few days. I am a club member, but I don't have their Visa card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I wish I did think it was the anti's.  Unfortunately, I firmly believe these people are just that stupid.
  14. Got what I needed.  Thanks.   I don't usually ask for these types of things, but does anyone have a cabela's coupon or promo code they aren't going to use.  I am going to make a fairly expensive purchase and figure anything will help.  I haven't bought anything from them recently so I don't have any active codes.    If you have something you're not going to use and don't mind helping out, please PM me.  I don't think this is against the rules, but if it is, please delete.   Thanks, Jamie
  15. I noticed the term "open carry" when I read it earlier as well.  I think they are basically saying, don't come in and be a douchebag even if "open carry" is legal in your state.  I am curious if there is anything specific about concealed carry.
  16. I highly doubt they had any clue you had a pk380 when they arrived. Do you have to boxes they came somewhere they would have seen them while clearing the house, say in a closet they opened? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. No one has mentioned it yet, but have her use a 22. She won't have to worry about recoil or anything like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I am actually in Belgium and just got done watching the game with some friends. It was a good match and we had our chances. Now it's time for bed! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Mine is 90% deaf from old age and being around too many gun shots. The only thing that wakes him anymore is the vibrations from loud noises. Even at that it's a simple look around and then back to sleep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. After 911 there were many laws enacted, but one major one is that you can only have a DL in one state and you must me a resident. You can't even get a state issued ID in another state even if you own property there. My parents just went through this in FL. They simply wanted a state ID so they could get in state rates for things like Disney, but they actually reside (based in DL) in KY. FL wouldn't do it. I think he will run into the same thing here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Can't you simply take the test here after your training? I fully admit I don't know the CDL laws, but it would seem to be the best thing to do if you don't plan on moving out of tn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Seems to me you would have to qualify as a resident of MO in order to get a MO DL with CDL designation. I would surmise that if you go that route and do qualify, you are in effect giving up your tn residency and therefore your permit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hmm, i have been thinking of building a 308.  For $288, it may be worth a cheap build.  I was thinking of the CMT, but at twice the cost for what I will do, I am not sure it would be worth it.  I see they have a barrel too.  Is the quality pretty good on these?
  24. I don't think it has been fired, but it does look like it was pushed through a barrel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Until you go to work for the guy that went to Vandy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
