  1. I am guessing if there was even a hint of this being true they would have never let the kid go back with him.  Just another vengeful ex who is jealous she doesn't get to spend his money.
  2.   That's one reason I like him so much, he's actually real and not 100% marketing.  I feel like he is what I would be like if I was a racer.  That's why I also like Kyle Busch.  Both of them don't give a crap what other people think, they just want to win and for me, that is what racing is about.  I don't have that many that I really dislike.  I am not a big Jr fan, but that is mostly because he is overhyped by the media.  He seems like someone that would be cool to hang out with though.
  3. I am a big Tony Stewart fan so take that for what its worth, but in no way do I think Tony A) did it on purpose and B, did not do what he could to avoid it.  Lets keep in mind that he is probably one of the best dirt track racers of all time.  Like him or not, his skills are unquestionable.  No one can tell from any of the angle's shown what truly happened.  I actually suspect the guy took a step down at the last moment and his foot/leg got caught and that was the end of it.   I may be classless, but I don't feel bad for the guy.  I do feel bad for his family and for Stewart who have to live with the outcome.
  4. He didn't know when enough was enough.  There were a few posts spread out through different threads that were over the top.  I for one was glad to see him gone.
  5. We can all only hope to live in your shadow some day. I bet there are a lot of "average" people on this forum who are learning a lot from your wisdom.
  6. [quote name="ab28" post="1177401" timestamp="1407562152"] Wow, you really have covered all of the bases in different threads. You may want to consider your words a bit more in the future ( if you are still around long). I am really at a loss for words. If this was meant as some "lingo", you failed miserably.
  7. As they say, 1/3 of zero is zero.
  8.   No, hence my statement that she isn't probably smart enough to figure it out herself.  I don't really care if the kid understands it.  Kids don't understand many things, this will just be one more of the mysteries of life to him I guess.  Too much is made of kids 'feelings' these days for me.  I wouldn't have made it to the door without an ass whoopin if that was me as a kid.  The last of my worries would have been if I was getting pie.   We all know it isn't the kids fault he is a PITA and you can't simply knock the shit out of stupid parents as much as you would like to so this seems like a good alternative.  I always like creative solutions to problems  :pleased:
  9.   I disagree.  Maybe the kid didn't learn it, but hopefully the mother did.  There are consequences for your actions.  This will eventually register with the kid.  Too bad he has a mother that probably isn't smart enough to figure it out herself.  Anyone I know who's kid was acting that way would have high tailed it out of there with complete embarrassment.     What are the guys consequences....he looks like a nice guy to his co-workers by bringing in pies.  I call that a win-win.
  10. Define carry on hunts?  Are we talking walking miles or just walking a relatively short distance back and forth to you vehicle?  I have a Tikka T3 Lite 25-06 which is very accurate and a nice weight to carry even with a scope.  Also, when you say long range, are you talking about long range hunting or long range target shooting?  What is long range?   I am pretty comfortable that I could take most things in North America outside of a Grizzly with my 25-06 up to 500 yards.  I also have a Browning X-Bolt 300WSM that I would probably take if I was going out west.  It isn't as accurate as my Tikka, but most of that could be due to the fact that I don't like to spend a lot of time shooting (read practicing with it) it as it packs a pretty good punch.  I am confident with it up to 250-300 yards though.   Tikka's are essentially a Sako with less fit and finish.  For me, they aren't a "target" rifle as the stocks just aren't made for it, but they are a very accurate hunting rifle.  There is a T3 Sporter version which has more of a target stock, but it also weighs 9 lbs before the scope.
  11. I bought the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro for $949.  Was 1199 before tax before this weekend.  I really wanted to order a Thinkpad Yoga (business model of the one I got), but the specs are exact same other than a couple of small differences in the outer shell and a couple of connectors.  Wasn't worth an extra $500 for me.  I have 15 days to see if I really like, but so far so good.
  12. Before you get a Kahr, make sure to try one out. I think they are a nice size, but the trigger is horrible (at least to me). Once it shot the Shield there was no looking back.
  13.   Before reading his whole post my two thoughts were Shield and CZ75
  14. Yeah, channel 4 has it on their website now.  It a shame everything now days has to be turned into an issue.  The people complaining need to learn to laugh a little and enjoy life.  It must suck to be always looking for the bad in things.
  15. Chris could have stopped this whole thing, period.  It was his (and his wife's I am guessing) ego that caused this to go on, not Ventura.  I am not defending other things Ventura may have said or done in the past, but on this I am 100% behind Ventura.  If it was you he defamed calling you a child molester (used as an example in the article David linked to) and you lost your job and probably a lot of other things and you couldn't make a living similar to what you have now, would you drop the suit?  I wouldn't.  Does that make me a scumbag, I don't think so.  Would I care if you think so, no.  I am not convinced Chris is any more of a good guy than Ventura.  Being an egotistical "patriot" doesn't make it right.  All Chris had to do was apologize and it would have been over.  I think that was a reasonable request on Ventura's part and Chris' ego wouldn't allow him simply say, your're right it isn't true.  These 5 words would have saved his estate (note I did not say wife) 1.8 million dollars.  That is on him.
  16. Just curious, did Buds charge you tax?  I just wonder if there was ever a definitive answer on if their new store and the website are under two different companies.
  17. It's always funnier when it is true!
  18. If the woman I grew up with were on here the response would have been much harsher than anything we have posted. My mom doesn't mince words on issues like this.
  19. Written by none other than our MA attorney friend who made such a good impression here.
  20.   I agree, but it doesn't make it right either.  Honestly, I don't give a crap about this one way or the other.  Two meat heads doing what meat heads do.  If this hadn't been put down in a book that was then made available to millions, you would have never heard of a lawsuit.  At the end of they day, JV made his case and won.  Until someone comes up with a better system, I will have to accept this just like I have to accept that OJ didn't do it.
  21. Loved Bob and Tom when they were on here.
  22.   I must be the only person who can't get past the horrible blue job on Henry's.  They look like they were sprayed in a paint booth.  They may shoot ok, but I just can't get past the cheap look of the metal finish.  Some of the higher end one's may be ok, but the standard version leaves a lot to be desired in the finish department imo.
  23. I don't think they still make them in the boat paddle, but that would be a good pick if you want stainless. My buddy has one in 22lr and it is a fun gun. Pretty accurate as well.
  24.   Heck, if it isn't too far, I will bring my Specwar and we will do our own video comparison.  The Specwar is supposed to be good up to 300 Ultra Mag or some ridiculous caliber.
