  1. Thanks, I have left a message for Tony to see if he could work me in.
  2. Does anyone know, can you just go out there and sign up or do you have to schedule it for one of their pre-defined days.  I would prefer to go in the middle of the week when it is less busy and not have to go at a specific time.
  3. I wrote to my Rep (Casada) and Senator (Johnson) this morning.  I sent the email at 7:37 and had a response from Glen Casada at 8:28.  Not too bad.  Below is his response.  While not unequivocal, it is encouraging.  I would recommend anyone in their district (Frankin, Brentwood) do the same so we get a good show of support.   Hi Jamie,   Thank you for your letter and thoughts.  I will pull this bill for study, but I feel confident this is something I will support.  Please continue to contact me on this or any issue of importance to you   Sincerely glen   From: Jamie H Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2015 7:37 AM To: Glen Casada; Jack Johnson Subject: Support for HB0320/SB0628   Dear Representative Casada and Senator Johnson,   As a law abiding citizen and HCP holder in your district, I am writing to you asking for your support of HB0320 and SB0628 respectively.   Today, without any ill intent or willful disregard for the law, HCP holders are at undue risk of breaking the law due to poorly and/or overly burdensome laws with regard to when and where we can carry a firearm for personal protection.     I believe these bills would not only make the law easier to understand, but would also improve the overall safety of Tennessee citizens. This in no way prevents a person, business, or government agency from asking an HCP holder to leave if so chosen, and as long as the HCP holder complies, there can be no legal grounds for prosecution.   We need clear, concise laws that give law abiding citizens the right to self protection without the fear of arbitrary prosecution.  I would prefer constitutional carry as the law, but this will improve the existing laws until that time comes.   Thank you for your time and support.
  4. If I was a cop and they wanted me to use this I would walk.

As far as I am concerned, all pro, no con.  A lot depends on what you want to use it for.  I wouldn't want to conceal carry it, but for an all around pistol, they are probably my favorite in the price range.
  6. Don't know anything about this one, but it has ok reviews and isn't super expensive.  I think the issue you will have is with the shorter barrel, muzzle blast without the shroud is going to be very loud and concussive.  I am not a fan of breaks in general.  I would probably go for some type of rest that helps with the recoil before a break if all I wanted it for was to help recoil while bench shooting long ranges.   http://www.amazon.com/Kineti-Tech-Muzzle-Redirect-threaded-Sleeve/dp/B00JTI6L1G/ref=pd_sim_sg_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=13HGR21G6QF31F66K28G
  7. That was incredible.  With that being said, I have no desire to put that much time into learning anything.
  8. I will just say this is my opinion and I am not making judgement, but for me 6 is too young to be moving up to high power calibers, any caliber.  I would take him to the woods and let him become proficient with the 22.  He will have just as much fun and I would say that it would be much safer for everyone.  It isn't safer because he can't handle the recoil, it safer because he is too young to realize just how far one of those projectiles can go.  I don't care if you are sitting right next to him, he is still 6 and he will make bad shots.  Any bad shot isn't good, but when you can have a bullet travel miles, it is worse.   You can still take him out hunting and enjoy your time together.   I started hunting and shooting when I was about that age, but I was not allowed to use any big gun for hunting until I was probably 9 or 10.   I had time to learn how to be a good hunter and learn the ways of the woods.  I would argue that he will gain more out of target shooting at that age than anything.     Take him squirrel hunting if you want to hunt and he will remember it just the same as deer hunting or any other hunting for that matter.  I think you are rushing it a bit.  I realize every child is different, but 6 is just a bit too young in my view.
  9. What issues with HA has anyone had. I have two and haven't had a single issue from either one.
  10. That is one of the first truly funny things I have seen in a while.  Great.
  11. Is said he was a former cop and still works in some capacity for them.  I am guessing he isn't considered your normal citizen in relation to carry.   "John Elder, a former police officer who currently works as a public information officer for the Minneapolis Police Department
  12. Not sure on that part of it. I bought mine along with new rims so they were already mounted. With a couple of bars you can do them yourself pretty easily. It isn't as hard as you may think. There is no balancing or anything that needs to be done. I have changed tires myself on other atv's without issue.
  13. I got my new ones online at Rocky Mountain ATV.     https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/
  14. I won't even read this.  I would also chain the bastard to a tree and leave him until he rots.
  15. There is already a thread started on this.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85105-video-of-intruder-with-machete-busting-through-and-getting-shot/
  16. Hopefully I don't break the internet with my ugly mug.
  17. I don't really know what the difference was, I looked at it simply as a donation I would probably make anyway so I might as well get a new sticker.
  18. Mine was also $300 a couple of years ago. I was also able to upgrade to endowment member for another $300 about 12 months ago.
  19. I would durakote it on that type of gun.
  20. I live in Franklin and am not worried one bit about it becoming like Hickory Hollow.  This to me is nothing more than a statistical absolute.  The larger a city gets, the more crime it has.  Nowhere is immune to crime and I am sure in some ways, people here are an easy target because it is a nicer area, meaning that they are too oblivious to the real world around them.  When violent crime starts spiking, I will worry about it.
  21. You, your dad, and your family are in my thoughts.  I am not a religious person personally, but my parents are.  We have open and frank conversations about it quite frequently.  While we may not agree with each other on that aspect of life, it has no bearing on our love for each other, and I am sure it is the same for you.  Have the conversation so that at least you know you did what you thought was right.  I am sure your dad will appreciate the fact you are concerned at that level, even if he doesn't necessarily align with it.    Enjoy your time here with each other and get as much of it as you can.   Best wishes.
  22. This. There is absolutely no reason to not do it.
  23. Wow, glad you are ok.  Could have been much worse.  We want to think things like this wouldn't happen to any of us, but it does all of the time.  Today wasn't your day thank goodness.
  24. The video was a bit over the top, but I think his response was pretty good.
