  1.   Another group I have ridden with a little is Middle Tennessee Motorcycle Riders.     http://www.meetup.com/Middle-Tennessee-Motorcycle-Riders/   They also have a closed facebook page, but you have to join the group on meetup to be added.  It is a pretty active group.
  2.   Did they put LED tail lights on them?  If not, check out Custom Dynamics.  I have their LED turn signals and break lights on my Street Glide and they are way  more visible to cars than the stock halogen bulbs.
  3. UPDATED 4.9.15   Final Details:   Saturday, April 11th Depart Time: 10:00AM Meet at Mapco on Stewarts Ferry Pike (near Percy Priest Dam).   General route will be: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zN9JfX1UMxpY.kmefI4T52zIw   We will head up to CycleMo's to check out the museum and then grab some lunch.  We will then come back on a bit of a southern route.     If anyone has any questions, let me know.  I expect us to be back around 4:00.
  4. Very nice.  All these bike pics have me itching to get out riding.  Been out of the country for a bit and can't wait to get back Saturday and get mine cleaned up.  We did a TGO ride last year in Middle TN.  We will do another one ( I may go ahead and put out a feeler for dates).  If you ever want someone to ride with, let me know, it always nice to have someone to do a bit of running around with on the bikes.
  5. I think LumberJack has one.  I have the SWR SpecWar and it does a good job as well, although I think it is a bit longer than the LT.     There is good comparison here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/75740-good-comparison-of-308762-cans/
  6. They may want to update their T&C's for 2015  :pleased:.  It still shows dates from 2013.   Thanks for posting.
  7. I bought quite a bit of soft point PRVI in 22-250 and 25-06 and have been pretty impressed with it.  It has provided very good accuracy and I wouldn't hesitate to use it hunting if needed.
  8. I think you need to spend some time in IL anywhere but Chicago.  I think you will find that outside of 30 miles around Chicago proper, IL is as conservative as TN.  Yeah, someone will complain about their gun laws, and carry, blah , blah, blah.     Being bought by an IL company is not a concern.   I don't know what was paid for it, but companies don't buy other companies to lose money.   I just get bored of the "if it has anything to do with IL, it must be bad" comments.  85% of the geographic area in IL are gun loving hunters and shooters.  It just sucks that the other 15% comprises 60% of the population. It's a Chicago issue, not an IL issue.   I guess because I am from IL and know many people who are as conservative as anyone here that I get a bit annoyed by it.  A lot of it is deserved, but the same could be said about Nashville and Memphis, luckily they don't have the majority.   rant off.
  9. I would get a shotgun or rifle.     Oops, I guess I need to learn to read.  Not a glock fan myself.  I would go for a CZ of some sort.
  10. I would recommend a CZ SP-01 Shadow SA or I also have an STI Trojan that I really like if you like a 1911 platform.  I like the SP-01 a bit more than the normal 75, but they are both great guns.  Depends on what you want to spend of course.
  11. It helped a bit, but still wasn't what I was hoping for.  I understand why they set it as they do, but for hunting, everything is just too far away.  I determined I really needed something with Zoom.     I was shooting a target with my bow at 20 yards and it looked like it was 60 yards away. As hunting is my primary use with it, it just wasn't going to work as I wanted it to.  I think for an all around take it anywhere camera, it is great.
  12. I did, but I ended up taking it back.  The issue for me is the superwide field of view.  It is good for certain things, but I also wanted to use it as a hunting camera.  It was the end of the season so I decided to wait and see what comes out this year.  I think I am going to go with an actual HD Camcorder and one of those flexible holders.   I will say that the video itself was very good, but not what I was really looking for.  They do make different lenses for them, but I didn't want to mess with that.
  13. Nice bike, I like the ape's on it. Nothing like getting a new toy and not being able to use it. I am jonesing to get out and ride a bit, but I am somewhere below fair weather rider. My "may ride" temp starts about 45 and only if I know it is going to get up above 55 or so later in the day. My bike has been sitting like this for a couple of months. I am hoping after I get back from my next trip in mid March that it is finally nice enough on a regular basis to get out and ride. I have a good half day of cleaning/polishing to do before I go too far. As far as what I haven't been able to do. I went and joined Strategic Edge to shoot some long range stuff, but it is too cold for that too.
  14. I have heard of them before.  I suspect there is a bit of truth in the matter, but not sure how much.  Seems to be a bunch of rednecks may decide to find out one day the more attention this gets.
  15. Well, one buddy and I went today and got signed up.  I think it is going to be a great place to shoot as many have mentioned.  I didn't do any shooting today as it was way too cold for me, but there were a couple of crazy people out.
  16. Thanks, it shows a member sign-up for Sunday.  I would go Saturday, but my friends that plan to come are married and with Saturday being Valentines day, they figure it is in their best interest to wait until Sunday in case we lose track of time  .
  17. I don't know if anyone else is a Seinfeld fan, but he will be at TPAC on April 1st.   Tickets just went on sale today.     I am really looking forward to the show.  I have heard he is great in person.
  18. I bought my 5" not realizing they were a bit rare. I really do like the length though. Model # is 01740 if you want to search for one.
  19. I am glad it is working for you, but I will say that 700 calories a day isn't enough for anyone.  I understand not being able to exercise, but losing that much weight that fast isn't healthy either.  I would personally recommend moderating a little more.   The weight will still come off, just not quite as fast.  Don't create other issues by starving yourself. You are most likely losing muscle mass and not just fat.  Just my opinion.
  20. I think everyone should have a CZ 75 at some point.  A bit more expensive, but my favorite 9mm is probably my STI Trojan.
  21. I am going to go out this weekend I think and try to get signed up.  I have two buddies who I think are going to signup as well.  I hope there is room.
  22. Thanks, I have left a message for Tony to see if he could work me in.
  23. Does anyone know, can you just go out there and sign up or do you have to schedule it for one of their pre-defined days.  I would prefer to go in the middle of the week when it is less busy and not have to go at a specific time.
  24. I wrote to my Rep (Casada) and Senator (Johnson) this morning.  I sent the email at 7:37 and had a response from Glen Casada at 8:28.  Not too bad.  Below is his response.  While not unequivocal, it is encouraging.  I would recommend anyone in their district (Frankin, Brentwood) do the same so we get a good show of support.   Hi Jamie,   Thank you for your letter and thoughts.  I will pull this bill for study, but I feel confident this is something I will support.  Please continue to contact me on this or any issue of importance to you   Sincerely glen   From: Jamie H Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2015 7:37 AM To: Glen Casada; Jack Johnson Subject: Support for HB0320/SB0628   Dear Representative Casada and Senator Johnson,   As a law abiding citizen and HCP holder in your district, I am writing to you asking for your support of HB0320 and SB0628 respectively.   Today, without any ill intent or willful disregard for the law, HCP holders are at undue risk of breaking the law due to poorly and/or overly burdensome laws with regard to when and where we can carry a firearm for personal protection.     I believe these bills would not only make the law easier to understand, but would also improve the overall safety of Tennessee citizens. This in no way prevents a person, business, or government agency from asking an HCP holder to leave if so chosen, and as long as the HCP holder complies, there can be no legal grounds for prosecution.   We need clear, concise laws that give law abiding citizens the right to self protection without the fear of arbitrary prosecution.  I would prefer constitutional carry as the law, but this will improve the existing laws until that time comes.   Thank you for your time and support.
