  1. I have no problem at all with a safety discussion.  I am not a fast rider per se.  I am more about cruising and enjoying the scenery.  I agree, if some want to run faster, they can go in front.  We can discuss the comfort level of anyone not used to riding in groups to make sure we are all aware of who is more comfortable (or not).     I don't have any intention of pushing it hard on the twisties personally.
  2. I was thinking at 10:00, but I am open.
  3. Great, glad to know a few will make it.  I have been wanting to check out Cyclemos in Red Boiling Springs for a while now.  I have created a route which would take us there, we could then grab some lunch close by, and then head back coming south around Center Hill Lake.   I am in Frankin, so I figured I would just make the start at the Percy Priest Dam area and for me I will come back to Franklin.  I am thinking everyone could peel off wherever they need to on the way back.   Some of you may know the roads a bit better in that area than I do, but I have ridden around Nameless and the road along Center Hill Lake.  They are both pretty fun roads.  If anyone wants to make some suggestions, feel free to adapt the route and post it back.  We will pick the final route a couple of days before we go.  You can ignore the names for the most part, I just select them off the map to get the general route.   https://goo.gl/maps/enEQb
  4. I just want to see if anyone is planning to attend this.  I know some voted, but I would like to have an idea if anyone is going to attend.  I am just trying to avoid working on a route if no one is able to make it.
  5. I hate to state the obvious, but why not just call Hyatt Legal and ask if they have someone. Seems they should know.
  6. Looks pretty fun for sure.
  7.   Believe me, I have to ignore more than I care to admit on TGO anymore.
  8. I think some of you need to get out and get some air.  I am getting more tired of the complaining about Liberals than I am the Liberals complaining about guns.  Not that a lot of it isn't warranted, but holy cow, you have to have something better to do with your time don't you?  This was a tragedy.  Everything doesn't have to be about Liberals and guns.   Also, can we try use proper grammar and spelling when complaining Liberals are "to stupid to think for there selfs".  It only takes a second to proof read.
  9. Tnguy, we are doing a ride on April 11th.    http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/86530-2015-spring-motorcycle-meetup-updated-32415/
  10. Wow, that is a lot of miles, congrats!  I agree, the bike still looks good for it's age.    I am taking my first ever "long" trip this summer, somewhere around 3000 miles.  I made reservations last year for a couple of days at Sturgis.  Figure 2 nights/3 days is more than enough for me.  Planning to head out to my brothers in Boulder, CO the week before and then up to Sturgis and back the week after.  It's a bit intimidating to be honest having never have taken a trip over more than a few hundred miles.
  11. Why SBR'd?  Simply for weight?  I think a 16" barrel would offer you a lot more choices and not add much weight.  I think you will have a hard time finding something to stabilize and efficiently burn all of the powder in that short of barrel to do what you are asking.
  12. Edit: Capbyrd has it down.  Missed his response.   I did go ahead and fill out a form 20 for my suppressor just to help with the hassle should I need it when visiting my parents.  They are both on my trust as well, but we all know many LE's don't have any idea what all of these things are.
  13. If you don't find anything in East TN, Hank Trailers in Rockvale (Murfreesboro area) will build about anything you want.   http://hanktrailers.com/index.htm
  14. So, as everything is even with votes, let plan for a Ride on April 11th with a backup date of May 2nd for weather.  If anyone wants, we can always just plan two rides as well.   We can work out the From to Where.   Last time I think we started at 10:00.  That  seems to work good as we can ride for a couple of hours and the grab some lunch and ride some more.  I will update the first post with the details.  I have some ideas of where we can ride in Middle TN, but am open to suggestions before making any final decisions.
  15. No, no restriction on number of rounds.     Per the hunting guide: 1. Shotguns using ammunition loaded with No. 4 shot or smaller. No restriction on number of rounds in magazine. 2. Longbows, recurve bows, compound bows, crossbows and other bows drawn or held by a mechanical device. 3. Firearms and archery equipment may be equipped with sighting devices except those devices utilizing an artifi cial light capable of locating wildlife. Night vision scopes are illegal.    This reminds me..time to start shooting my bow and making sure it is still sighted in.
  16.   I agree with Peejman, wind noise is very bad for you.  I highly recommend these earplugs.  They keep the wind noise down, yet you can hear your music and everything without issue.   http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044DEESS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  17. I have the Sena smh10.  Works well with my full face helmet.  Do you just want to listen to music or do you want to use it for phone calls as well?  I think having a phone call with a half helmet would probably not be great, but I haven't tried it to be honest.
  18. Any members going out to shoot in the this on Saturday.  I think I am going to try and make it out.  Would be nice to know if anyone else here may go just to say hello.
  19. Trikes are absolutely welcome. This won't be a speed race.
  20. Bump for a few more days to see if we have any other interest.  We'll pick the date later this week or next weekend.   Just got my bike cleaned up and polished this weekend so I am ready to go.
  21. I literally just got done cleaning and polishing and took a 2 block run just to warm it up.  I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow or I would be riding as well.  Will probably only work half a day now that I think of it.
  22. Just got home after a couple weeks abroad and had a nice present waiting for me.  At first I couldn't think what I ordered that would have come in a smaller box (I usually go on spending sprees while bored at night over there and all I do is surf looking for things I don't need) and I was pleasantly surprised to see my Runt.  It's much smaller than I was expecting (and I expected small after reading some of the comments), but I love the size.  I have a ZT350 I use from time to time, but this is the perfect carry knife.   Thanks again Willis!  Now to meetup and take a ride with our bikes sometime.
  23. FirstBank has been good to me.
  24.   Another group I have ridden with a little is Middle Tennessee Motorcycle Riders.     http://www.meetup.com/Middle-Tennessee-Motorcycle-Riders/   They also have a closed facebook page, but you have to join the group on meetup to be added.  It is a pretty active group.
  25.   Did they put LED tail lights on them?  If not, check out Custom Dynamics.  I have their LED turn signals and break lights on my Street Glide and they are way  more visible to cars than the stock halogen bulbs.
