  No worries on being frugal.  No one can blame anyone for that.  I have many Coopers, CZ's and Savages and they are all great guns in their own respective categories.   As for 204 on a coyote, I have had little damage and a lot of damage.  If you are really wanting to make sure the pelts are not damaged as much as possible, a 204 within 200 yards is probably a bit too destructive.

For the money, I am also a big fan of CZ's, but if you want something beautiful, you can always go with a Cooper Custom Classic.  It's a mere two and half hours away at Whittakers. :devil:      http://www.whittakerguns.com/product/cooper-38-custom-classic-22-hornet    As for caliber, I say get whatever floats your boat.  223 is boring for me.  I prefer 204 Ruger or 22-250 depending on the situation.

Drinking and even having it in the car is illegal. You of course can do it, but realize the consequences if you do and get caught.

I would be drinking, so I would be leaving the gun at home. That is just me. If you don't drink, I would say carry if you want to carry. If they ask you not to ( if they were to happen to see it), take it to the car.

It shouldn't take the full two hours.  You can get there a bit early and do your paperwork and pay.  I think at most, the safety orientation will run 90 minutes.  Mine was more like 60, but we got started a bit late due to some stragglers.  I would plan on it being over by 1:30 unless there is a very large group.

/\ what he said.  I have a full Kidd Supergrade and while it shoots very, very well, it won't compete on a regular basis with my bolt guns.   If you are just looking to plink with a very nice trigger, don't worry about the bolt.  If you can afford it and want to build an awesome 10/22, go all Kidd.  If you want pure accuracy, do what Mac said and put the money in a nice bolt gun.   You don't even have to spend a ton of money on a bolt gun to get great accuracy.  Or better yet, do both as money and time allow.   As a side note, if you want to become hooked on 22's for target shooting, look no further than an old Winchester model 52 or Remington 40x (a 37 will also do).

Yep, two part epoxy and roll it on.  The pain in the rear is the continual rolling you need to do until it is good and set.  Letting them each get tacky will help a lot.

I like it.  I am not much into AR's, so the more conventional look is more appealing to me.  I will be curious to see how it shoots.  I would expect it to do well.

To be fair, violence with guns, while it does happen in other countries with very strict gun laws, it does not happen as often as it does here. You can't compare the US to Isreal or Iraq and their historical and religious regional conflicts. Compare it to say Germany. Yes hate crimes happen everywhere, but we can't just blatantly ignore the reality here that guns are involved more frequently. I don't like the reality, but I am willing to accept the reality as I don't believe it is a gun issue, but a social issue. I just think it comes across as illogical when someone says this happens everywhere where gun laws are stricter. It doesn't.

  I think this is well said.  I understand that someone new coming in and making what some may consider to be egregious statements is not recommended, but I also think some are too quick to jump on the crucifixion bandwagon.  I think a simple word of warning from the admin's (which I am sure does happen) will slow down a lot of these threads, but part of the blame also goes to those who know better than to egg them on and make it a bigger issue.  Don't get me wrong, it can be fun, but it isn't productive.  Nothing wrong with stating a disagreement of opinion, but attacking someone usually isn't necessary.  If they are an obvious troll, just ignore them.   I admit that at times, it seems like there is a double standard applied based on how popular someone is or how long they have been here, but I think it has more to do with those members having an established baseline of reasonable discussion.  It isn't even about agreeing, it is about having an intellectual discussion.       I hope we all take this chance to think about what we are posting and how it could be perceived.  Some are better at conveying emotions or facetiousness than others. I am sure we all have those who we like and relate to, and those who we know what they are going to say before even reading their post and shaking our head, but that is simply how life works.     I won't be bullied by anyone on this forum or in real life, but there is a time to pick your battles.  We are all passionate about something, but that doesn't mean that others can't have a contradictory opinion.  I think some need to learn the idea of "we will agree to disagree" and move on.  This board is much more fun when we are talking guns, joking, and not always worried about when the sky is going to fall.

While I get annoyed with commercials when I am watching something I am really interested in, I do find some of them quite funny.  Some of them have some really subtle references in them that I don't think most people even get.     What annoys me most is still the volume increase.  How is a guy supposed to take a nap on the couch with the TV on when these loud commercials keep interrupting our sleep. :snore:

Did you do it in writing to corporate? I doubt the locals would agree to it, but I would want something in writing from them telling me no. I guess it depends how far you plan to take it. If you think you may have to resort to the legal system, do it in writing formally asap. This way they can't say they taped over them. Explicitely tell them to save the video for possible later legal proceedings. That will get their attention.

Request the videos in writing. I almost guarantee they have video.

Yes, but it's not easy to disable and you lose too many failsafes in my opinion. I suppose if I lived in a no fly zone I may care more.

2.0, I agree. I was referring only to the challenges 3dr had had getting the solo launched. DJI had their own as well while we all waited on extra batteries. They are all trying to be first to market in the new prosumer market.

As for waiting for GoPro, I would recommend that if you are wanting one, I wouldn't wait for them. There are already a lot of options out there for people using go pro's. The latest is the 3dr Solo. I think what you are going to find is that these companies making drones have spend a lot of time and more importantly, headache's, getting these things dialed in and they still have some issues. I would not want to wait for another 6 months or year for go pro and be one to buy a first version. If they had one out for a while and new version was coming out, I might consider it. If you do some research on 3dr you will find that they are having some challenges with their first launch as well because of hardware suppliers for the gimbals, but I think they will be pretty nice machines. Anyway, not to deter you, once you see one in action ,you will definitely want one.

Yes, the new drones do have a GPS chip in them.  The apps you use also use the GPS to determine exactly where you are and if you fall within one of these zones.  I have mixed feelings on the issue, but reading some of the posts on the forums, some of these people have no common sense whatsoever.  Mine will go up to 500 meters high and people are complaining that they should be able to go has high as they want.  I don't really care, but the ones who want to do it are usually the ones in a major city near an airport.  It just goes to show how many people really have no common sense.

Yeah, there have been people complaining on the Phantom forums. They also have no fly zones around most airports. I fully expect the 3dr solo will also have them.

Put some marine epoxy, sand it smooth, and paint it.  I don't think any chemical you would ever use on it would affect the epoxy.  The paint would be my bigger concern.
