I know.. All in good humor.

I suppose I have a soft spot for the actual law enforcement personnel involved. San Bernandino County uses our 911 Dispatch system so I have a bit of a connection with them. You could have also talked to my ex-wife, she would gladly support the Scrooge moniker :pleased: .

Yes, but I think they want to have their info completely correct before releasing it. We bash the media all the time for giving out the wrong info just to try and be first. I think we should at least allow them to complete the mission before we worry about not getting a race. I think it almost answers itself by them not stating it, but we seem to complain no matter what they do or don't give out.

But what do you want to hit? Any Mini14 I have shot is lucky to shoot 5 moa, maybe more like 10. I'll take an AR any day personally.

It goes up with the number of 'likes' you get.

Just pulled body or something from suv.

All officers ok. Just reported.

Looks like it. Can't tell if the person down is a cop. If it was you would think they would go get him, although I don't think it will help from the looks of it.

Fox shows a body and a lot of blood for the guy down.

As bad as this sounds, I hope it was some jihad idiots and not another mental kid.

MusicMan, I am also a Savage fan, but not so much on the Axis. I agree the Trophy Hunter is a good value. Prag, as to this gun, I have one in 300 Blackout and I would consider it to be of 'good' quality. It is what is it, meaning a good value rifle that will do the job. 308 is more than enough for any deer out to well beyond 200 yards. For me, if I was going with 1 caliber, 308 would probably be it. There is a lot of quality ammo readily available. If he can/wants to spend a little more, the Savage with an Accutrigger will be a bit nicer gun.

I have been considering an M&P for some time. Most that have them really like them and they also seem to fit me well when I have tried them at the store. I just ordered a full size with two 17rnd mags for $379. Pretty hard to pass up for that price. If anyone is on the fence: https://www.gunbuyer.com/ The full link wouldn't work, but just go to handguns and it will be there.

I don't need another hunting rifle, but if I did, this would be pretty darn tempting. Ruger American 308 Navy Digital Camo - $289 http://www.cdnnsports.com/too-cheap/308-american-22-syn-grey-d-cam.html?SID=fm1g97v21885dtved5hjvbm2m5#.Vl8kGHarSiM

Nashville Mayor wasting no time...
Hozzie replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
To be fair, I am not sure it exists with all 'Gunners" either. I don't think anti-gunners have the market cornered on illogical deductive reasoning although I have to admit they can certainly stretch it further it seems. -

To be clear though, they are not saying the firearms were purchased from a dealer. They simply say they were purchased at the gun show. The implication being it was a person to person transaction where there was no background check, therefore a felon was able to get a gun more easily than if they were forced to go through a background check. The direct logic is correct of course if one believes a felon will follow the law to begin with even if backgrounds checks were mandatory. We all know that isn't the case. I am personally not against background checks, but they should be free and easily accessible for anyone who wants to do one. It should simply state if the person is legal or not to purchase with something as simple as a DL and DOB. If they want people to do it on thier own free will, they need to make it easy to check and free. -
Glad to see usps is still shipping long guns in state. I assumed they had went the same route as ups. The next hurdle will be getting them to know their own rules.

I don't think they should have to if it is known they are that anti-gun. I don't sleep in the same room as my girlfriend at my parents because I know they don't approve. Should they have to tell me not to? My point is simply at times people shouldn't have to tell you everything to know what their wishes are.

I don't carry where it is clear they don't want me to. You can do what you want, but it is about respect for others. I don't agree with a lot of things people do, but if it isn't in my house or under my direct authority, it's not my right to tell them what they have to do. Don't get me wrong, I am no saint, but I don't purposely ignore someone's request because I don't like it, especially when I am at their house. That is what we are discussing, not carry in general.

Yes, but you will have a hard time finding a shipper based on their rules now. Most require any gun shipment to go to an FFL no matter what now.
-
It's about respect for another's domain. This isn't about rules. Too many people today only worry about respect for another if it suits them. It's called doing the right thing in my opinion. I can do a lot of things, it doesn't mean I should. Concealed vs. not concealed isn't the issue in my opinion.

GSG 1911-22. They make the Sig 1911-22. I have the Sig and it is my go to suppressor host for plinking fun.

Oh, I would have never figured that out. Must be a slow night :pleased: Edit: Although after reviewing the usage, I could make an argument that my use of less is ok because I could say it referred to an overall "group size" which could be abstract, not definitive. For example, when looking at a picture of two football stadiums on TV, I would say one has less people in it than the other based on a simple view. Only if I had an exact count would I use fewer.

Huh? Think you may have got threads mixed up?
