I don't know if I will make either. Can't make April due to work and have no idea what November will bring. To be honest, if I could make one, I would go to April. Things may skyrocket in November depending on the election. Unless you want to sell of course.

Yes. I am sure there will be FFL's there who could do a transfer most likely, especially for long guns. It also a great place to sell and find very hard to find parts, mags, etc. if you have any you want to sell, you will never find a better place to try and sell them.

You will definitely enjoy it. Small suggestion. If you are really looking for something special, get a vendor pass so you can go Thursday night and Friday morning before the actual show starts. You can get a head start on the search before the thousands of others find it. If you have something to sell, it can be a great place to sell as well. It basically ends up being $80 per ticket (you get two with a table) for the whoie weekend, but for me it was worth it as I felt I had access to some guns that wouldn't be there on Saturday. If you are just going to experience it and not really looking for something special, the normal ticket will be fine.

I am sure they are charging tax, they are just reducing the price to cover it.

A second way to look at this is there are those LGS and those with an FFL that have embraced transfers. I can guarantee you that the Saddle Shop makes more than most LGS simply through transfers. They aren't a traditional gun shop, but I bet they do 15-20 transfers per day. Easy money if you ask me. I am the most impatient of the impatient most of the time, but rarely can't I buy something that an LGS sells on Amazon and have it in two days. More importantly, I didn't have to go anywhere. For ammo, I buy in bulk or reload so even in components I buy in bulk. Times have been changing for a long time. It's the old adage, adapt or die.

What 30cal can and who does layaway?
Hozzie replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I have a Silencerco Specwar 7.62 and love it. It's. About bigger than some, but is one of, if not the best at suppression levels. I like it so well I am ordering a second. I already have the Silencerco quick attach flash hiders or breaks on most of my rifles, so sticking with the same manufacturer makes sense. -
As they say, only let them see what you want them to see.

I have both as well. You can also turn them upside down from the back to hold pistols that won't fit under a shelf or in a door hanger due to a scope. Most of my pistols are held in my door organizer, but I ran out of room there too.

The Archery Den in Franklin is where I bought my bow and get all arrows. Easy drive from Nashville and they are a good group of guys.

While I understand the premise, I just don't think it is a big enough issue to solve it by having even more subforums. I suspect most of us start with the "view new content" link. That isn't going to help the issue. I would recommend titles being more descriptive and profiles being up to date. At least a general location should be available such as Middle, East, or West TN. "Middle of nowhere" does no one any good.

If you have AT&T, you can add a passport plan to your service. I usually get the $60 plan which gives you 300mb data and 50 cent/minute calling. It's good for 30 days from when you add it. I have had no issues with service in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, or France.

I can't agree with the jet lag when you get back. It way easier (at least for me) to go west.

It's not really that different as far as the flight. Biggest thing is try to sleep on the flight. Stay up the first night until at least 8pm, 9 is better. Otherwise it will take a long time to adjust. Enjoy. Those are all great locations.

Saw this article this morning. It's a start in the right direction. I don't have kids, but will send my Rep's a link encouraging they support something similar. I think the sign could be pretty effective. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/02/05/some-oklahoma-schools-display-signs-warning-staffers-could-be-armed.html?intcmp=hpbt4

Done. Thanks for everything you are doing to help these guys and girls. Wish I could take one, but too much travel right now.

Problem with TGO member completing transaction
Hozzie replied to cosmo1811's topic in Feedback and Support
Technically, if you have a profile, you are a member. I suspect you mean benefactor. In this case, he was the buyer so no need to be a benefactor. -

Dolo will get it sorted out. If you made an agreement with a seller to make a purchase, unless there are extenuating circumstances, he/she should honor it. As always, there are three sides to every story. Don't let this turn you off to the forum. It is managed well and if it is a true issue, it will be handled appropriately. -
I don't have a local place, but myself and friends have bought a lot from here. Always been happy and shipping has been reasonable. http://www.qualitytargets.com/

Closer to Franklin is CHMR on owl hollow Rd. I haven't been in a while, but I am pretty sure he allows them still. You do have to join, but the cost is reasonable for a year.

New rimfire benchrest opportunity in middle Tennessee
Hozzie replied to RegisG's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Inside of first blue line is 3/8", outside is 1/2. That is the important one. I think reticle choice is very personal. I think it comes down to practice and knowing how you shoot. I will be shooting a Sightron SIII 10-50x Target Dot. Mine is .5 MOA at 10x and .1 MOA at 50x. I haven't shot it at all yet so I don't know what power I will end up using, probably around 40-45 if I had to guess. Being in East TN you are lucky if you are near Bristol. Kettefoot probably has as many matches as anywhere in the country. Go one day and watch and I bet you will learn more than you ever wanted to know. -
Jeez, another project I don't need. :dirty:

New rimfire benchrest opportunity in middle Tennessee

Basically, 4 classes at 50 yards, timed. Unlimited is most common. Target with 25 shots and some sighters. Scoring is based on which ring you are in. 2500 is best score. Probably easier to link to the ARA website. PSL is very similar. http://www.americanrimfire.com/ Full list of rules here: http://www.americanrimfire.com/media/rules/ARA-2015.pdf ARA Target: -
New rimfire benchrest opportunity in middle Tennessee

Dan did the testing and the tuning so I don't even know how much weight it has. I just got it 3 weeks ago and haven't had a chance to do any shooting with it yet. Hopefully in the coming weeks. I have some Ezell windflags that should show up this week and I already have a windicator, so I hope I am about done with purchases. Now I just need practice as you mention. -

I am in. I had also talked to Tony a bit about this. I just had a new gun built for ARA specifically, so anything I can do to help, just let me know. If all goes well, I can talk to Dan Killough about being a sanctioned match.
