  1. Stihl for me as well.
  2. What's great about Spotify is that you can create your own playlists and you can download them so you don't have to have Internet access to listen and use data while in the car. I pay something like $10/month for premium access, but I think it is worth it.
  3. They are proud of them, but I have always have very, very good performance from them.
  4. I love the look of their brakes and the way they are blended in. I wanted to use my suppressor so I didn't get one, but for me, they have the nicest finished look to them of any AR barrel.
  5. I might take you up on that. I am not much into recoil, but may try it once. I am out there usually a couple of times a week, so just let me know.
  6. I am sure there is some data somewhere, but I couldn't tell you where. Aluminum transfers heat much better than steel and the fins will certainly help it cool better. How much, I don't know. Some of it is I just like the way it looks.
  7. I would recommend avoiding cops if this is even remotely true. You do not want to be the guy holding a gun that isn't a cop if the SHTF and there are jumpy cops out there. I hope like hell this isn't true. IF it does happen, you may very well see the start of some much bigger problems. Don't be the idiot that thinks he is helping. You aren't.
  8. Looks very similar to mine other than mine is 308. Looks like all JP Rifle parts. Can't tell if it is a JP receiver set or not. My specs are in my thread, but it is very similar. I literally just finished it. I think you go to Strategic Edge don't you? I can meet up with you one day at the range if you want to check mine out.
  9. 6.5 vs 260 should be equally accurate. It is about the load like always. I like 260 as it is based on the 308 cartridge so you can always make brass. That said, I would buy Lapua brass for either.
  10. I guess I never worried about it because mine is under a covered patio and so is my friends. No real worry about getting rain or snow inside of it. Plus mine is always covered.
  11. All I can say is get whatever you agree to in writing. I have had to fight with Comcast every 6 months for something.

I would also say hold a S&W M&P. Don't try a CZ 75 or you won't try anything else. It is heavy because it is metal, but there is no better "feeling" gun than a CZ for me.
  13. Nice, gotta like JP Rifles.
  14. I have a Kamado Joe and my buddy has a BGE. Neither of us have taken ours in during the winter and haven't had an issue. If you go with a BGE or Kamado Joe, I highly recommend the Joetisserie. It is made by KJ, but it will fit either the normal KJ or Large BGE. This is a couple of chickens I did. Literally, best chicken I have ever had. Also, even if you don't have a KJ or BGE, the Kamado Joe charcoal is killer. I have tried others and my buddy has had his BGE for about 5 years and he agrees on the charcoal. You guys inspired me tonight. Time for a filet and asparagus.
  15. I seriously considered making mine a 260, but wanted to keep the barrel short enough to make it feasible to shoot off hand. To get the most out of the 260 you need at least a 26" barrel and that was just too long for what I wanted. Ended up with a 20" 308, but by the time I add the suppressor, it is still very long.
  16. Build the big boy. 308 or 260 would be fun too. I just finished my 308 and I have to say I had the most fun building it vs. my AR-15's.
  17. Yep, sell your barrel and buy a new one. You will be money ahead.
  18. Man, I hope you find her a good home. I would love to, but I am just not quite ready yet after having to put my best buddy down just a few months ago. If this was later this year, I would consider it. I will pass her info along in case I have a friend who would be interested.

    Bikers

Man, this makes me miss my SGS. I may have to find something just to put around on. I really like your bike as it is as well.
  20. If anyone is curious, it is basically a JP LRP-07 without the JP Receiver set, trigger, and muzzle break. Receivers: CMT Billet Barrel: JP SuperMatch 308 1/10 20" JP Thermal Dissipator JP Ajustable Gas Block JP Mark III Rapid Config 15.5 Handguard JP Low Mass Bolt Carrier Geissele SD-E Trigger Magpul PRS Buttstock JP Silent Capture Spring JP Hogue Grip Silencerco Specwar 7.62 and Quick Connect Flash Hider I have high expectations for this thing. I guess we will find out.
  21. Stage 2 complete. Lower together. Stage 3: Let the fun begin. I am anxious to get this one out and start tuning. Now on to what scope to put on it??????????????
  22. Ahh, it's just my favorite color, that's the only reason for blue. It's made by JP Rifles for their barrels. Mine is a SuperMatch 308 20".
  23. It's just that. A thermal dissipator to help cool the barrel better.
  24. Step 1 complete.
  25. Received my trigger today for what I think is my complete build list (minus scope). This will be my first and probably only AR10 so I hope it turns out as good as I think it should. More to come!
