  1. Rcbs if I was starting from scratch.
  2. The Lyman will do just fine. I have one. It really comes down to what accessories you want. I like the RCBS powder measure and 502 scale better than the Lyman personally. I kept the actual press as it is good, but sold off the Lyman 55 Powder Measure as I was familiar with the working of the RCBS before I bought my Lyman kit and just never got used to the 55. That is not to say the 55 is bad. There are thousands of people that like them and they have good overall reviews.
  3. The Hornady is perfectly fine. Most all of them now are fine. I use something from just about all of them. If you want to compare, I would recommend RCBS, but either is good.
  4. I can absolutely understand the need to do it. I would do the exact same thing. I would just want to do it humanely. I believe you do to, so no worries there.
  5. I would use the 44 mag and go for a heart shot. Much more mass to hit.
  6. Coyotes aren't an easy target. Nothing against you, but most people have too much confidence with such a small bullet, especially if used off hand. A 223 with a ballistic tip would give you much more room for error. I just don't like to see any animal suffer and there is a much greater chance with a 22.
  7. Will it kill it, probably with perfect shot placement. Will it do it quickly and ethically, not for me. If she isn't in a neighborhood, use a 223 or something similar. At a Minimum, use a 22mag or 17HMR if you insist you have to use a rimfire. I know people don't like Coyote's, but there is no sense in being inhumane about it. There is too much room for error with a rimfire that makes it a poor choice for me.
  8. I am looking at this as well in 260. I really want a TRG in 260, but they are hard to find used.
  9. All the better ones you mention will work. I am a Stihl fanboy though.
  10. No, they were out of the one in Urban Grey. I got it from Georgia Gun Store. Best price I could find. They are hard to find right now for a decent price.
  11. Picking up my new suppressor host today. CZ 75 SP01 Tactical Suppressor Ready. Looking forward to shooting it.
  12. Just a note. Matches don't start again until March at CRC, so if I don't pm you around then, send me a pm to remind me.
  13. Yeah, either Match, Tenex, Or Midas+ depending on what gun and what conditions.
  14. I shoot all over the Southeast, but I run the local ARA matches at Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill. I shoot at Chattanooga Rifle Club and quite a few other places within a 4 hour drive of Nashville. I have a couple of extra competition guns if you ever want to give it a try. All I ask is that you pay for the ammo as it isn't cheap.
  15. Come shoot with us. Mike who runs the matches is a great guy. You may know him.
  16. Come on now, it isn't quite that much... Even then, with no wind flags, it may not be a given. Wind is what separates the men from the boys in our game.
  17. No, if his measurement in the first post is correct, the overall bullseye is ~1.625 inches. So it would simply be 1.625 MOA at 100 yards. It's actually a bit more than that since you only have to break the bullseye, not be completely in. The hard part is no sighters once you start so unless you have wind flags up, a slight wind can push you out of that quite easily.

STI Trojan is another good option.
  19. Yeah, I don't think it's really that fair for me to use by competition guns on this. That being said, on a windy day without wind flags, I don't care what you are shooting, unless the wind is 100% consistent (which it never is), no one is getting 8/10 hits at 100 yards. If I get time I might try to get my little Savage I use for tactical matches out and give it a try.
  20. I haven't shot either of those as I am not a fan of that mag release style, but I suspect they both a good guns. I am a big fan of my S&W Shield, but it holds two less rounds that these. I think it is worth shooting along with these just for feel if nothing else. I wouldn't be afraid to have either of those if they fit my hand well. They do appear to be a bit thicker than a Shield. If you haven't held them in your hand, that to me is the most important along with shooting them if you can.
  21. There is one for sale of GOC right now in Lebanon. No affiliation and don't know if it is a good deal or not. Just saw it after seeing this thread.
  22. Same comment I posted on Facebook. Looks like a Hi-Point threw up on a 1911. Horrendous.
  23. Just got word my paperwork came back today for two Form 4's on my trust. Submitted at the end of April, so about 9 months total. Not near as bad as I expected when I submitted them.
  24. I left my truck running all the time when I had my dog with me when it was either too hot or too cold to leave it off with the windows cracked. He was with me 90% of the time. The doors were locked and I don't think anyone ever considered breaking in with a 90lb dog sitting there. My truck was the only thing he was protective in. You could rob my house, but don't try to get in his truck without me in it
