Strategic Edge will host its first ARA (American Rimfire Association) match of the season starting at 9AM on Saturday. Bench positions must be drawn by 8:30. For those of you not familiar with ARA, it is a precision rimfire shooting competition. We will shoot 5 ARA Targets for total score. So, just what is ARA and how is the game played? ARA is based on a 25 bull target shot at 50 yards with 1 shot per bull. It is scored for a possible total of 2500 points. You have 20 minutes to shoot the entire card and you can shoot as many sighter’s as you would like. What equipment can you use? These will be unlimited class matches which basically means, bring whatever you want to shoot so long as it is a 22lr. I promise you if you like shooting 22’s for small groups, you will like this game and it will make you a better shooter. If you think you have a “tack driver”, bring it and as we say “show up and shoot”. This game is a ton of fun, but it isn’t easy. Cost for the first match is $30. Due to ARA Rules, there is no winning payout. For more information on ARA, please check out the website @ http://www.americanrimfire.com If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. There are very few, if any, real Rimfire BR matches in Middle TN, so we hope this may appeal to many of you. We want to make our matches some of the best attended in the Southeast. It starts with getting the local shooters introduced to the sport so if you have any questions at all, please let me know. Thanks, Jamie

That Rocket III is a hoss.

That nm4 is an interesting looking bike. Pretty futuristic.

I sold off my 2014 Street Glide last year as I just wasn't using it enough for what I had in it. I started to get the itch again now that the weather is nice so I picked up a new ride today. Decided to go with a Sport Tourer as I wanted something I could pay cash for as well as have a little more power behind it. Picked up a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300. I had a good time the last time some of us got together for a ride. If anyone is interested in doing it again, let me know and we'll try to plan something in the coming weeks. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-DwwDJzz/0/XL/i-DwwDJzz-XL.jpg For some reason the picture won't show, but the link works. It is a nice picture of my crappy garage floor

Truck carry Where to hide a handgun
Hozzie replied to Ray Z's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have a similar setup as post 2, second picture. I simply used a small drill bit to create a small hole in the plastic where i wanted the holster and used small screws to hold it. Been there for 7 years with zero issues. -
Any Airgunner's here?......My new PCP airgun addiction.
Hozzie replied to plinker4life's topic in Long Guns
I went with an SSP (single stroke pneumatic) so I didn't have to worry about having extra air with me. Mine is designed for 10m shooting, so it depends what you want to do with it as well. I bought it to play with in my basement. I have suppressors if I need to shoot anything outdoors close to the house. I just bought this FWB 601. It is in the process of getting a stock refinish to a darker stain as I am not into the light stocks. -
Barrett Model 99 to meet those criteria. http://vizardsgunsandammo.com/bfm-m99-sys-50bmg-32-hb-blk-1/ You may call Whittakers and see what price they can get on this as well. I don't know anything about the place in the link, just the best price according to Slickguns. You may also call CDNN. I missed on out a 98B that was 50% off. They have some M82's as well. Would be worth a call. https://www.cdnnsports.com/barrett-m82a1-50bmg.html

Thank you for stopping to help him. I am sure he is already feeling like family. I hope you have many great years together if no one is looking for him.

Yes

No, it is not legal. You can bring it and meet him at an FFL and do the transaction there.

Same incident, just now officially bringing charges. My parents have a place in Punta Gorda. It was definitely negligent, but I am confident it was not something intentional by someone with nefarious reasons. I suspect the guy "thought" he changed the ammo out, but actually didn't. It's a tragedy all around. It's a very nice town with great people.

I hope Cabelas remains separate. It is the only true outfitter class operation going. Quality of their brand far exceeds any of the others. Gander is a joke.

I just paid up and use SmugMug. It works well for me and isn't super expensive. It isn't the best interface ever, but I like that you can select from multiple sizes of the image to post based on what you are doing. I loved Picasa until Google ruined it. https://www.smugmug.com/

My favorites are all 22's. Can't reload for what I am doing.

I thought Lady Gaga was good. The opening was respectful without being political in my opinion. It would be hard to argue she did anything negative directed at anyone.

This explains a lot. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/yeti-reaches-favorable-settlement-in-rtic-coolers-lawsuits-300401752.html

They reported they found his body. Sounds like he slipped. I suspect he hit his head, but not sure.
-
It isn't and am glad you pointed that out. I am wondering if people have been abusing the hell out of them and then asking for replacements.
-
I have thought about that too, but I am thinking we may have some good years ahead. I am only buying 2 so it isn't terrible for tickets, especially if I go lower bowl vs club. Haven't decided which way to go just yet.
-
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

I figure we have some season ticket holders on here and I was hoping for some feedback about where to get PSL's. The main two things I can't decide on are: 1) are the club level amenities worth the extra cost of the tickets 2) what side of the stadium to be on. I have been on both and at times the extra sun is nice, but overall which side of the stadium do you like better and why. I can't afford 50 yard line, so these will be outside of the 20 most likely. Thanks.

I have the Cabelas 40 and it is a great cooler. They have some nice features. I like the true handles on them.
-
Just bought an RTIC soft Side 20 for $70 delivered Hard to beat that. I think all coolers are on sale. Make sure to put the cooler in the cart for the updated price. https://www.rticcoolers.com/ Just passing along in case anyone has been waiting for a deal.

Yes, cases were splitting. It still happens, but in a bolt gun it's a little less likely to blow out completely.

I am a 22 mag guy. I believe they are a better all around cartridge than the 17 hmr. I wouldn't use either one on a coyote by choice though.
