I am always looking to add to my stock of ammo and came across this deal. If you need 22 Mag ammo, this is a steal. $6.99/box and shipping was the best I could find for the same amount of ammo at a few different sites. No Tax to TN. Check it on Midway (just search P765) and you will see it has 4.9 stars and is $12.99. https://2awarehouse.com/fed-prm-22wmr-30gr-jhp-50-3000/

Glad it wasn't worse. Trees around barns, especially with Hay in them also worry me. Can go from ok to losing everything in a matter of minutes.

Gov. Bill Lee to proclaim Oct. 10 day of prayer & fasting
Hozzie replied to Dirtshooter's topic in General Chat
As an atheist, I could not give a crap if they want to have a day of prayer. I do have an issue with spending tax payer funds to promote it, but I also have an issue with spending tax payer dollars on a lot of things, the vast majority which have nothing to do with religion. There are extremists on both sides of the discussion who want to shout louder than the other. Nothing new and nothing different than any other issue out there today. What I do get annoyed about is when those whom emphatically defend this will lose their mind if a group of Muslims want to have a prayer group at a school or in any other government location. It's the hypocrisy that is so ironic. Don't take this as defending Muslims either, I don't believe deep down they care or want to assimilate into our country, but that is another matter. People should be free to believe what they believe. Just don't tell me what I should believe. I don't believe Gov. Lee is trying to do that, but as the highest representative in the State, it can easily come across that way. -
To be fair, my main reasoning is simply from what I have read. I replaced the trigger on my III and I don’t find it difficult to take down. I also like the full stainless. I doubt you will be disappointed with any of them. Find the one you like the looks of and go with it.

Nothing wrong with a Mark III. Plenty of aftermarket items from Volquartsen and Tandemkross if you want to play with it. I would take one before a Mark 4 personally ( and I do have the 6” Mark III hunter).
-
I wouldn't buy a new 41 for that either. I would find a real 41 (meaning older) or for the money, one of the best target rimfire semi-auto's is going to be the High Standard Supermatic (different versions available). Some of them more expensive than others, and those made in Hamden are typically considered better than those made after the move to New Hartford but there are excellent models from both. Keep in mind that in most of these older guns, you should only shoot standard velocity ammo, but that is what you should shoot anyway if you actually want to target shoot. There was a 41 on here a while back that was a nice gun at a fair price. Would have been a good one to pick up. The thing with older 41's, High Standards, and Brownings is they hold their value assuming you don't completely overpay. If you just want a longer barrelled semi-auto, the Ruger's are good, but I would stick to the Mark III or Mark 2. to be fair I haven't shot a Mark 4, but haven't liked some of the things I have read. If were throwing out guns, I love my Browning Medalist. If you want a shooter they are out there without box, etc for somewhat reasonable prices. You also can't go wrong with a Colt Match Target (2nd gen are my favorite due to the safety release location). Again, it wouldn't be a cream of the crop condition for less than $800, but will outshoot anything you have listed. I guess it really depends what you actually want to do. I always go to proven, quality models that may not be the cheapest, but will more than likely be better shooters, more comfortable, and hold their value. YMMV. This is the link to the one that just sold here for reference.

I would call TBI first and confirm all of the data is correct. Did you give your social on the 4473? Someone would have to go to a lot of trouble to use your name and social on an arrest. A lawyer isn’t a bad idea, just hate to see people have to spend that money for no fault of their own.

Best Range/Cleaning/Storage Toolboxes??
Hozzie replied to DaveTN's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I use these Dewalt TStak organizers. Have 4 of different ones I stack on the Trolley. I use it to take all of my supplies (cleaning, wrenches, barrel vise, etc) to my BR matches. You could easily get by with two of them. Different ones are shown in the link. I have the two drawer, long handle toolbox, and 2 deep drawers. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BPI1TWO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here's a pic of mine. I often unlock the second box and carry it and the top box together. They aren't too heavy. As you can see, there is room for small containers in the top. I keep presoaked and dry cleaning patches in them. -
I may have to do some recon for myself at said Coconut Bay Cafe.

That seems more plausible. I have seen a couple around. I didn't really think it could be a mountain lion, but power of persuasion and it really didn't look like a coyote to me.

My version of Where's Waldo
-
So while picking up a new gun a couple of weeks ago, I was talking to the guy behind the counter like normal and somehow we got on Mountain Lions. He said there had been some spotted in middle TN and at first I was skeptical, but my parents said it was also mentioned on the news after I told them about it. He said he thought I could be in the area they had seen some. So, while checking cameras this evening, the very first picture is of course this grainy night shot about as far away as you can get. I don't know if it is simply mental fixation on it, but this doesn't look like a coyote to me due to the gate. Looks bigger than a bobcat, but can't see any tail due to location. What do you guys think. I posted the full size pic. Not sure if it will resize when posting, but if you click on it twice it should show full size.

Pretty cool. I may have to get me one as well.

White House Floats Background Check Ideas
Hozzie replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not exactly. The definition of Commerce according to Miriam Webster is "the exchange or buying and selling of commodities on a large scale involving transportation from place to place" The big question would be the interpretation of the phrase "on a large scale". Firearms are commodities and we do transport from place to place, so on a large scale is the critical piece. This of course is only if they don't create their own definition, but I suspect they would consider places like TGO to qualify as "on a large scale" simply because it is a firearms focused website. Universal Background Checks are coming, it's not if, it's when. A registry is my concern. I still say the answer is a voluntary, free background check system for everyone. That along with a free "stolen firearm search" would most likely be the best overall result for realistic results. People who don't care now won't care then and those who do will take the time to do a quick check if it is easy and free. The problem is no one believes they won't track it. -
I have one I planned to use to do a lot of what you outline, I just never ended up actually doing it. I now shoot rimfire benchrest and never shoot much centerfire or pistol at all. If you decide to go forward with the LNL, I have a full setup, including case feeder I will make you a super deal on. It hasn't been hardly used and I don't foresee using it and I hate to see it just sit. I had it listed here before with all of the accessories. I think I have a list somewhere. PM me if you decide you may be interested. I am just in Chapel Hill so you can come take a look at it anytime if you want.

What Caliber for Skunk and Where To Hit It?
Hozzie replied to ShaggyRS6's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Yep, trap and drown. Shooting will not get you the result you are looking for. -
I would first see if I could find a service manual for it and see if it has a gasket on it. If it does, I would probably use a chisel on the corners and see if you can get it to separate. Even if it doesn't, you can always use a little black RTV if needed when putting it back together. Or go ask over here https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/index.php in the Kubota section. Someone there will most likely have a good answer. Someone there may also have a service manual they would share.

I don't care if someone wants to steal my car (so long as I am not in it), but mess with my dog and no one may ever know where you went.

My go to value/cost rifles are CZ's. Usually excellent accuracy and fit and finish are better than anything else in the price range. Savages will shoot well and be cheap, but they just don't do anything for me from a looks standpoint. I like wood and blue. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/62354/cz-usa+cz455+american+22wmr

Suppressors may be next on Trump’s list
Hozzie replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The difference is they essentially changed it to mean bumpstocks were machine guns with the Machine Gun being the critical differentiation which made them illegal. They can't change a suppressor to be anything other than a suppressor I don't think without changing actual law. They were certainly bipolar on bumpstocks, but it's still apples and oranges as far as I am concerned. -
Suppressors may be next on Trump’s list
Hozzie replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Big difference between bump stocks and Suppressors. Bump stocks were always in question as legal or not. Suppressors are not legal without application and approval. Apples and oranges comparison. Can't as easily take away something codified in law and clearly known what is legal or not. It will take Congress to change it and I don't see that happening right now. Lawsuits will last years if anything is forced. I am not losing any sleep over this. -
Tax help needed for 2019 self employed quarterly taxes??
Hozzie replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I use the direct pay. It's simple. https://directpay.irs.gov/directpay/payment?execution=e1s1 -
Very sorry for your loss. Condolences.

I have been with Farm Bureau for at least 12 years. Never had an issue with anything. Had one accident (not my fault) and replaced one windshield and have never had them question anything. More importantly for me I trust my agent. I have no idea if it may cost me a little more each year, but knowing how they have treated me for years, it's worth it. If my rates went up to what I felt was excessive, I would shop around. I base my cost relatively to a few friends with similar situations and we are all within a hundred dollars or so.

Powerstep for me as well.
