David, are the bullets vmax or fmj? Price per 1000. Thanks.

I have to say, I am ok with a lot of the EO's except the one that states it isn't illegal for doctor to ask if there are guns in the house. He isn't outlawing anything with an EO, so that is a start. I don't think the bans will happen in the congress.

Tn will not help in enforcing federal law
Hozzie replied to Keyless's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Again, please read the bill and contact your reps. It says we won't use TN Budget to do it, but it says they can use our resources as long as they pay for it. Still not good enough for me. I have asked my reps to oppose that "only if they pay for it" clause. -
He said it was available to him, not that he was selling it. For $850, if it is in good shape, that is a great price. Buy it.

I received a response from Rep. Casada in regards to supporting the new House Bill stating no TN funding would be used to enforce any ban. My response is attached. We need to make sure they remove the statement that they can use TN resources as long the Federal Govt. pays for it. Anyone from Williamson County, please contact him as well. ................................................... Rep. Casada. Thank you for your response. I would like point out that I do not agree with nor support the following statement in the bill outline, "allows the allocation of state or local personnel or property to such regulation or enforcement if federal funding is provided.". I hope you will work to remove this statement from the bill. This statement alone does not protect our 2nd amendment rights, but rather says it is ok for the Federal Government to limit our rights so long as they pay for it. I find this insulting to anyone who reads this that really thinks TN is somehow really standing up for its citizens. I and many other people will be watching this closely. I hope you and my other representatives make the right choice. Thank you, Jamie > From: rep.glen.casada@capitol.tn.gov > Subject: RE: Support for State Bill limiting the Governments Power to enforce any gun related orders > Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2013 20:17:11 +0000 > > Jamie, > Thank you for your letter and thoughts. I strongly urge you not to support any clause that would allow the Federal Government to limit my rights as provided in the Constitution. I would recommend you review similar bills being considered in states like Wyoming and Texas that would make it a crime for Federal officials to try and enforce a potential executive order, bypassing all due process for every American. This crime would be punishable by time in jail as well as punitive punishments. > > It is time our government realize again they work for the people. > > Thank you for your time.

This was my response to the Alexander 2nd Amendment response. I am sure he will never see it, but I am going to state that I will not vote again for anyone who places limitations of any kind. Mr. Alexander, Thank you for your response. I realize this is a common response sent to everyone who sent a similar concern, however, I would like to make clear that just protecting the 2nd amendment is not all that is at stake. I also expect that you will not support limitations on my right to own magazines or firearms such as sporting rifles, commonly mis-termed as assault rifles. I believe you are using semantics to try and appease your constituents without saying you won't support limitations on certain items which you can then later say you never said you wouldn't do. I would like to hear and see you state that you will not support ANY new limitations to gun ownership outside of improved mental health assitance, which is not a gun specific issue. As I stated in my previous correspondence, I will not vote for anyone who represents me currently that supports any limitations on my constitutional rights. I hear often "why does anyone NEED these items". If need were a criteria for the constitution, we would live in a much different country. Thank you for your time.

I'm not in E.TN, but before I or anyone would probably agree to this, I am guessing they will want to know the angle of the story. I would not allow my gun to be used in a story that was anti-gun in any way, meaning I would want the right to review the story before final agreement of using my images. I don't need to help the anti's propogate more ignorance. You may be a fine person with good intentions, but with this being your first post, people aren't going to jump to help you. You may want to give more info on what you are trying to do.

Koran scriptures being read on opening day of 113th Congress
Hozzie replied to jcoosi's topic in General Chat
It's ok to offend them all, hence the first amendment. It's the hypocrisy of most Christian's that kills many of us. Does this also apply to Christians who oppose recognition of gay marriage or abortion as inappropriate since it is against their religion? I don't see a difference? Maybe Christians and Muslims have more in common than I thought. -
Franklin Tn Williamson County Gun Show this weekend
Hozzie replied to N2thebox's topic in Events and Gatherings
I was surprised there weren't more vendors and there were a lot of people, but inside it wasn't bad. I got two good deals. In the end, if I was able to make a couple of good deals, it was a good show for me. I agree with hlb14, if you want an AR, just stand outside and and pick who you want to pay too much. -
His booth is smack dab in the center of the lower level. It will be hard to miss it.

Just wanted to give another quick thank you to David for great customer service. Not only does he have things no one else does, he still has the best prices. My wallet's a lot lighter, but I will be able to load for quite some time. Best part is I was able to miss the crowd tomorrow at the gun show. Still going ,but won't be fighting for supplies.

Koran scriptures being read on opening day of 113th Congress
Hozzie replied to jcoosi's topic in General Chat
It's only a slap in the face to a Christian (not specifically directing that towards you, but in general) who thinks that the Bible is the only "real" Religion and religious book there should in America or at least that our government should recognize. For anyone else who isn't a Christian the ability to worship as you choose is called Liberty, a pretty important part of the American constitution. I am none of the above, so I feel I am pretty neutral on the issue. I am all for you being able to give your opinion like I have given mine, we just happen to disagree on the irony I see. -

So your saying that they shouldn't have the right to do that, or somehow that is the reason this country is going downhill? Sorry, don't buy it. Funny how everyone get's up in arms about the 2nd Amendment, but when the 1st doesn't suit them, it's all the other religions or someone else's fault. I may not like Obama's policies, but linking that to the downfall of congress or the reason we allow a Muslim or Hindu to be part of Congress is shortsided. I don't think either person who used a Koran or Hindu Book of Scriputres is any worse than those who used the bible. I suspect you may like them better than Feinstein or Pelosi if you really looked into it. Maybe not, but categorizing two specific people by their religion is no better than a Democrat saying guns kill people. They are both ignorant statements in my opinion. -
I would like to find one for ammo as well. I called Murfreesboro and Charlotte Pike and neither of them have them for that price.

This was my email to all of them. I figure they have heard enough "statistics". I was specific to what matters. You vote for this, I will never vote for you again. Dear Senator Corker, I write you today to express my vehement opposition to the highly publicized push for restrictions on not only sporting weapons, but also magazines. I am not going to quote a bunch of statistics that show neither of these restrictions will make a difference as it has already been shown as fact, time and time again. What I am going to say is quite simple. I believe that it is my right as an American to keep and bear arms. I am a law abiding citizen and it is not the governments purpose, nor charter to regulate and dictate what is a right provided to me in the constitution of the United States of America. There are bad people in this world and they will do bad things, but we cannot infringe upon the rights of all Americans for acts committed by a few. You cannot legislate safety and you should not legislate limitations to my ability to protect myself, regardless of if you think personally that these types of weapons and magazines are necessary or not. I say without prejudice or uncertainty, that if you or any other representative of mine, in this great State of Tennessee, vote for such a restriction on my rights, I will never vote for you, or them, again. I voted for you this last election expecting that you as a Republican will uphold the constitution of this great nation. Now it is time for you to decide. Thank you for your time and service.

Franklin Tn Williamson County Gun Show this weekend

I will probably be going Saturday morning for sure and will probably go back Sunday for kicks. I won't be around Saturday afternoon (going shooting at a friends), but most any other time should be ok. -
Proposed Illinois Bill, anyone see this??
Hozzie replied to rugerla1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't know. I think the real people have put up with a lot, but I think this will cross a line. I wouldn't be surprised to see a very large push back on this if it even comes close to reality. A ban won't come easy, or hopefully at all. -

I will be going, but I also only live a mile away. No AR's is ok with me. I hope there is more of everything else like nice handguns and rifles and not just a bunch of junk. We'll see. -
Proposed Illinois Bill, anyone see this??
Hozzie replied to rugerla1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This will never happen, even in Illinois. Rahm and the others can pump their fists and say what they want, but outside of Chicago, the state is very similar to TN from a gun owner perspective. Yes, Chicago pushes a lot of the agenda, but I just don't see this happening. I grew up and lived there for 20 years. I know many people including cops who would never support this. This is just bullying, but the real people of IL (outside of Chicago) will not allow this. I think sometimes they do this crap just to see how big of rise they can get out of the pro-gun people. Let's be clear. There is Illinois and there is Chicago/E. St Louis. They really aren't the same, unfortunately the two most crime ridden areas dictate a lot of what happens. -
remington 700 adl to bdl conversion
Hozzie replied to glock55's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
My personal opinion is always to start without doing any work to the stock. Who knows, it may shoot great without doing a thing. Only after I shoot it "as is" would I consider doing anything else. I would also check for barrel float before going as far as bedding. Bedding for me is after I have tried a few easy things first. It may come to having to bed it, but I don't think it's necessary to start there. I am sure there are others who may say bed it from the start.- 1 reply

Nope, must be a benefactor to add or respond to any ad in the classifieds. You can PM someone with something listed in the classifieds, you just can't post on the thread itself.
