I didn't see anything I was really interested in, but it seemed to be an ok show.  Didn't seem like quite as many guns on tables, but quite a few walking around.   As usual, some things priced way too high and others seemed to be reasonable.  

If you want a Sig, get the 1911-22.  Much better than the mosquito and shoots all ammo.  I have had both and only still have the 1911-22.  There are a lot of nice plinking 22's out there, although the Sig 1911-22 is still one of my favorites.  I wouldn't have a P22 as I have seen the slide blow apart in use.  I hear good things about the Ruger SR22, and the Ruger Mark series are always a good choice.   I have a couple of those too.

  You don't get arrested for a hate crime just for kicking some guy's ass who cut you off.  You get arrested for a hate crime for saying the "fagot" deserved to get his ass kicked for being gay, oh yeah and he just so happened to cut you off.  I think it is pretty clear you have an issue with gays even beyond the marriage issue.

He should go to jail just like anyone else directly responsible for the death of another.  Ignorance and sympathy isn't a reason not to put him in jail.  I don't care if he has to live with it or not, that's not a defense of being negligent to the point it took someone's life.

  I agree completely.  Now if we can just get both sides to figure out that choosing one way or the other for your reasons does not mean forcing the other side to believe the same.  That's what's awesome about a free country, I can believe in abortion and guns and know that many don't, but we can still coexist, or can we?   My point obviously being we all seem to say it's a choice when it suits us, but as soon as it doesn't, then it shouldn't be a choice.  I am not saying that directly about Spots, just to his point of coexisting.  I am as guilty as the next guy.

I would want a 4x4, but if you truly just stay on a trail that already exists, you may not need it.  It depends on how steep some of the hills may be on the trails you ride.  I think you will always come across something where 4x4 will be needed.

I don't think you can just register it anywhere.  You have to register it to an address where you live.  It typically connects to your twra number.  It seems to me they will require you to register it to the same as your license.  I don't think there is a county tax or at least I don't remember it, but that may have changed.  I bought my boat in 2008, so it's possible.  

Sales tax is the same no matter where you register it.  You will not get around it.  If it is worth more than what you paid, as Dave said, the seller needs to give you a receipt and reason why.  You can't get a receipt saying you paid a dollar and only pay on that.  They will get their money one way or the other.   Depending on how expensive it was, the rate may go down to around 6 %.   Plus you need to register it where you live.  I have been through the exact same thing and also live in Franklin.   It's like a car, it's illegal to register a car in a county where you don't live to avoid wheel tax, etc.  Long story short, pay the tax and hit the lake.

Once again, can't fix stupid.  Too bad it didn't ricochet and hit him. 

I would drive it and if it runs good, buy it.  I am a John Deere guy and believe they put out a good product.  My dad has always had John Deere's and I have always had John Deere's.  Never had a major issue with any of them.  Plus, you know if you do have something happen 10 years down the road, there's a good chance you will still be able to get parts.  There is no better parts network out there than Deere in my opinion.  If it has a warranty until 2016, I see no reason to be concerned.  I am firm believer that if something is going to go wrong, it will happen in the first year or two.  If it saves a fair amount of money, I wouldn't hesitate.

The 5 year warranty on the Toro is good, but I suspect it doesn't cover the engine.  I think the engines both have a 3yr residential warranty.  It's still a good warranty for pumps and things like that, but it is probably worth double checking with Toro.   I would definitely mow with the scag if I could and I think the decision will be pretty obvious one way or the other.  If you like both equally after that, I would probably go with the Toro for the extra warranty. There seems to be a few scag dealers around.  I would think you could find one that provides decent service.  

I think the suspension seat on the Scag is not to be overlooked.  Doesn't seem the Toro has that.  Have you driven a Scag?  I would try to get a demo of it as well.  I think that will help you make a final decision.

  Unless the warranty is more than a year difference, I think the Kawasaki engine more than makes up for it.  EFI is nice, but I think it is also more complicated if something does go wrong, although if the warranty is that much better, it may make sense.   

Scag with Kawasaki in my mind.  I am big fan of the Kawasaki engines.  I think the scag will ultimately mow faster as well.

I strictly use Accurate #5 for .357 loads.  I use 158gr SWC's, but what you have would work.  I think titegroup is a bit hot for me in .357.  There is a lot of load data out there.

    A sit-on zero turn isn't necessarily safer on a hill, but a walk behind is very safe on a hill and gives you more control, especially over a garden tractor.  If you ever look at guys mowing the steep banks on the storm control areas around businesses and commercial areas, they use a walk behind with a velke.  You have a lot of control because they have a low center of gravity.  Whether a sit-on zero turn or a garden tractor, the center of gravity is much higher and with you one it, it makes it that much higher.     I should add, I have actually rolled a garden tractor on a hill.  Do it once and you won't do it again.  Luckily I was able to jump off away from the mower.  I don't see any hills that look too bad on your property, except maybe right next to the road could be a little awkward for a riding mower.     I think riding mowers have advantages too like being able to pull implements (rollers, aerator, and carts, etc.)  For pure mowing, a walk behind with a velke is hard to beat.

/\ /\ I agree with 10-ring unless you want to be able to pull a cart or something.  I would look for a nice used Exmark.  It will have quite a few hours on it to get your price down, but it will still be be a better mower than a new $1000 mower from the big box stores.  I would find your local Exmark dealer and go look at them.  They should have some used ones to look at and try out.  If you have never driven one, it takes a little getting use to, but once you do, you can mow faster than using anything else and it is the safest on hills and hard to mow areas.

My dehumidifier is set at 55% in my basement.  That seems to be the sweet spot for it working well without having to run 24/7.  I have a dedicated reloading room upstairs in the airco, so it isn't a problem for me, but I would think 50-55% would be ok.  Anything lower than 50% is unnecessary in my view.

It's pretty simple to me.  A criminal is someone who carry's without a permit no matter their reasons.  There are a lot of things I don't agree with in the government, but this isn't one of them I am going to get in a pissing contest about.  At least not yet anyway.

  There are shooters of all skill levels, some are really good, some not so good. I find it very good training to just watch the tactics of the guys that shoot really well and then try some of their techniques.  As long you can follow some basic rules (which are common sense for the most part), you will have no trouble at all.  For $20, your ammo, and gas over there, it is a great way to spend part of a day.   A lot cheaper than buying or even leasing land.  I completely understand wanting to practice on your own as well.  I luckily have a place to do that, but the matches are fun.
