Agreed, went out this morning to try and call some Coyote's with my new caller. It was nice to sit in the blind and just enjoy being outside.
-
Thanks, glad you will get yours. I'm not so sure about mine.
-
If anyone gets a confirmation of shipping or email stating it was an error, please post here. I received an email saying thank you for your order because I also had to create new account, but I didn't get an order # so I have no idea if they actually got an order or not. As menioned before, Paypal confirmed my payment so I am very curious to see what happens.

Porkies.... Hey, they were on a basketball team. In seriousness, Remember the Titans and Slapshot, although I still think Porkies is one of the funniest movies ever.

I'm in for one lower and upper. Maybe two depending on paired price. Thanks to everyone involved for setting this up!

Illinois Supreme Court strikes down UUW law.

I bet Rahm's head is about to explode. -
To the post above, I don't think selling some spare ammo you have that you don't really need for a reasonable price is gouging. I think when you make it a "business" to buy anything you can and try to sell it for considerably higher prices than normal market value, then yes you are moving into the gouging arena. I consider normal market value to be Walmart prices or slightly higher, but not 75 -100% higher. I think for most, it's not just the high prices that get people worked up, it's the concerted effort to take advantage of people and then make excuses as to why it is ok.

We'll see if I get mine. Went to the site, added it to the cart, and checked out. When I clicked finalize order it went back to the page and said out of stock, but I received my paypal confirmation so we'll see.

I think finding a Mark III Hunter for $350-$400 will be hard. I think if you find one in excellent condition between $425 and $475, you will have done ok. This model doesn't seem to lose its value much.
-
Yes, one is a Mark III Hunter. I got mine from Whittaker's 4 or 5 years ago. If I remember, it paid about $440, so $509 with the times doesn't seem ridiculous. I put the Volquartsen accurizing kit in mine and it has a very nice trigger. The only issue I had was some stovepipes. From what I read, it was fairly common on these guns and the fix was to file a rounded edge on the magazine lips. I did it without issue and it has worked pretty well flawlessly since then. I would definitely recommend one to anyone. With that said, I probably still take my Sig 1911-22 as often as my Mark III. It is accurate, eats anything, and in general is cheap. In fact, kygunco has the Olive Drab version on sale for $354 with free shipping. That is a pretty good deal if anyone is interested in one.

I am sorry to hear about this. I had to do the surgery on my Golden and know many others that have had to as well. The problem most of the time is trying to keep them from overdoing it even when trying to just give it a few weeks. Mine had the figure 8 surgery and it went very well. I looked into the more invasive procedures as well, but in the end the success rate was about the same. If you need to do surgery, I would be more than happy to donate as well.

I finally got it. I wasn't using the full editor. I cleared the cache as well. Just wasn't thinking about having to use the full editor. -
It seems that maybe this happened when I upgraded to the Lifetime Membership. Before I could change the topic title, type of ad, etc. Now all I can do is edit the text of the add. I can't lock the thread like I use to when it wanted to close it either. Thanks, Jamie

I think that was a good choice. I have the X534 and it mows very well and it's nice to be able to pull things around. I think you will be very happy. Do regular maintenance and don't beat the crap out of it and it will last you 20 years.

What kind of dog is best about not wandering from property?
Hozzie replied to a topic in General Chat
Great choice if you get one. My Golden was and will forever be the dog that all other dogs are judged against. They will get hot in the summer, but you can shave them down and they will be quite comfortable. My mom was a dog groomer so it wasn't a big deal, but plan on some maintenance. Dogs with thick, long hair can have issues with hotspots with the humidity so keeping them groomed and not letting the bacteria get out of control is important. I don't want to be too out of line, but like everyone else has said, there are some musts that anyone considering a dog should have. This is no reflection on you as I don't know you, but you must have either a fence (or e-fence), good shelter, and be willing to keep the dog groomed. A long haired dog like a Golden will collect everything including burs, dirt, mud, etc. They do require upkeep, lots of exercise, and probably most important for a Golden, companionship. If you are going to just put them outside and only be out a couple of hours a day, please don't get one. I realize not everyone is an inside dog person, but sociable dogs like Golden's really need that interaction. Don't expect it to be a great guard dog. It will definitely protect it's people, and it may bark, but it may just as easily invite people into your yard to play and get attention. For me, there is no better dog than a Golden, but they do take quite a bit of attention. Mine loved to ride the SeaDoo and had her own raft. She would jump in, get on the raft and hang out for the afternoon in the lake. -
There is a guy on Accurate Reloader that sells a lot of Elephant wallets. I bought one of his front pocket wallets. They are not cheap, but I like mine a lot. http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2711043/m/6901087191 This is just one, but if you look under the classifieds, there will be more by him.

You would have thought they would have went with a 6" or 8 3/8" barreled 44 Mag as a start.

Or, just get a revolver.. If she can't pull the slide on a semi-auto, she probably isn't going to be comfortable with it if she needs it. Get a revolver. Simple as point and shoot. She should be able to handle a .38 hopefully.

I just upgraded and it worked fine.

I stumbled upon it researching options myself. Isn't the cheapest if you have a big yard , but it seems to help. I put down grub killer but that never seemed to do the job. Apparently they also really like earthworms and this was one way to make them less tasty.
-
Try spraying castor oil on the yard. It changes the way the worms taste and the Voles/moles willl move. It may take up to two weeks, but it works and isn't harmful to pets.

CZ 452/455. It isn't the cheapest, but they are accurate and of excellent quality. It is something he could keep forever. There are many models, but a 452 Military Trainer or Ultra Lux with peep sites is about as fun as it gets. Call Whittakers Guns in KY, they have the best selection. Even better, take the 2 1/2 hour drive up there and look at about anything you want. He could pick it out. You won't be disappointed if you take the drive.
-
Yes. You send the gun to an FFL in KY and he gets a background check and picks it up. He sends you the bow directly. If it was me, I would wait until the gun gets to the FFL before sending the bow, or if possible and you are close enough, meet him at the FFL in KY and do the swap there. He will still need to get a background check at the FFL. Do not just swap him for it directly.
-
Thanks, I'll have him give him a call.

Where are they at in TN. Will they allow us to pick up?
