I am well aware of this. I will take every chance I can to screw the govt. I pay more than my fair share of taxes, screw em' Edit: I am not saying I won't buy from Amazon, that probably wasn't clear. I just won't keep my Prime Membership. Less advantage to use it now. I am more and more starting to buy as much as humanly possible used. Other than food and cloth's, I can buy a lot used.

There goes my prime account and I have had it since it came out. I will be buying a lot less from Amazon.

They're in the Good Luck thread.

I saw 10 does, a button buck, and a 5 pointer. I took the 5 pointer just to get a little summer sausage made. It should be good meat, he was probably only a year and half old, but not a bad body. I was just sitting on the ground next to a large rock and had 7 of the does come within 25-30 yds. They were active. 2 of them probably played for 30 minutes in the field below me just running around having a good time. Glad to have the deer dropped off at the processor and everything cleaned up though. My little guy:

I have the 4 wheeler loaded up and ready to go. Looking forward to getting out in the morning. I don't bow hunt, so this is my first time out this year. Looking forward to a nice crisp morning. Good luck everyone.

I have the HA Guardian 9 and 22 SS on the way. Can't wait to get them both. I should have my stamp on the 9 within the month and hopefully the 22 by the end of January. -

I decided this had to be my new title above my logo. I still laugh when I read it and it has been all day. -
I sold a 6" bright stainless with no box at 98% for $1400 about 6 or 8 months ago. I probably could have got more for it, but I didn't feel like being an auctioneer. Box/No Box will make a difference as will blued/nickel/stainless. I have seen them go for as little as $700 at a show (before I got a chance to get to it) and as high as $2000 depending on the gun.

This is one of the funniest things i have heard in a while. This sounds like my kind of attorney. Apparently now, the Government doesn't like people to use the term "the Government" to describe them. Wonder why? http://www.tennessean.com/article/20131101/NEWS03/311010139/Franklin-lawyer-mocks-prosecutor-with-demand-to-be-called-Captain-Justice- Article was written by Brian Haas who some of you know from other topics here.

Thanks. I was able to get it sighted in luckily, I just didn't shoot a group as I needed to clean it and it was getting cold. Should be good to go for next weekend.
-
Glad I went out today and shot some rounds. I would have swore I was sighted in, but too my surprise, I wasn't anywhere close. It got cold and windy before I could clean my gun and shoot for a group, but below is my setup. TC Bone Collector Leupold UltimateSlam 3-9 I shoot 100gr Pyrodex and 250gr Hornady SST bullets.

That's great. I bet that went over real well.

I am debating wether to even look. I know I can get no subsidy, so really I think I am going to go private just so I am not one helping it.

According to Fox News, only 6 people actually signed up for the ACA on Day 1. This may be the funniest thing I have heard in a long time. Now they don't want to release more numbers. What a joke! http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/11/01/internal-notes-indicate-only-6-people-signed-up-for-obamacare-on-first-day/?intcmp=latestnews

While it is sad that the kid had to die, the parents need to be held accountable. The kid that got hit by the electric line did so just before 10pm. What the hell are the parents thinking? I guess I am just used to when I grew up, Halloween or not, it was a school night and on top of that, it was well know there were going to be powerful storms. I feel bad for the parents (mostly), but in my opinion it was neglect and they should bear some burden. Call me a careless bastard, but saying they will have to live with it is not enough for me. I hope they don't have other kids. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out your kid didn't need to be outside last night, let alone at 10PM for a 9 year old? Give me a break.

Do you think you would be where you are today all else being equal if you were black? I agree, depending where you live, it can make a difference. It may be only that one time you were given a chance that could make a difference. Would being black have affected that one chance? In your case maybe not, but I think in many cases it does. There is more to it than just "if I could be me today" to it. The whole point is to consider the challenges to get to where you are in life and I firmly believe that in a lot of cases, being black is harder than being white to get to the same level.
-
I think you may be missing some of the point. This isn't about all whites vs all blacks. This was specifically about leadership positions and having an advantage as a white person to obtain those positions. All you have to do is look at the percentage of CEO's, CIO's, CTO's, CFO's, etc that are white. Those equivalent positions in the military are also highly made up of white males. Does it mean that if you are black or another minority that you can't reach one of those positions, of course not. Is is statistically valid to say you have an advantage as a white guy to get to one of those positions, absolutely. Is that unfair, we all have our own opinions.

Blaming the government is not the answer. Blaming a dumbass who shot 2 or 3 people because he was butthurt is what we all should be doing.

I think it's easy to make a choice when the choices are so drastic such as a guy in a suit or a gangster thug. However, what if one is white in a suit and one is black in a suit. It is much closer. And while I would like to believe at that point it doesn't make a difference, I do think in a lot of cases, it still does, especially depending what kind of industry you are in. The old white guy mens club still exists. I don't think a lot of them do it anymore because their racist, I think they just don't even think about it. They just connect with people like themselves easier. I think that is human nature. I think a very simple question for yourself is: Would you rather be black? Many say they have the same rights and in many cases have advantages over whites. Again, would you want to be black if you're not? If you say it doesn't matter, I will call you a liar. It does matter. Maybe not as much as it use to, but I will be the first to admit that I wouldn't want to be black. Not because I am racist, but because I do think life in general would be different.

Now saying the guy is or was a TSA employee. Another disgruntled employee shooting it sounds like.
-
Now we will have to start going through metal detectors just to get in the airport. I hate to say this, but I almost hope this guy was a felon who shouldn't have had a gun to start with. We are losing more ground everyday when these idiots go off the deep end.

I agree, I didn't say you could buy any plan. They all have to meet certain requirements, but there is nothing that says you can't buy from a supplier directly.
-
There is nothing saying you can't buy your own insurance as a single/family outside of the healthcare marketplace. I don't think it has anything to do with them thinking or knowing that the healthcare exchanges are going to fail. I just see it as them going after the market directly. If they are competitive and offer plans that meet the requirements for a price someone wants to pay, there is nothing to stop it. They are in the insurance business, I would expect to see them advertising their services. However, I wouldn't argue that due to the challenges that the ACA has had so far, one would think they are trying to take advantage of that.

I plan to go out Friday if the weather cooperates and put a few rounds through mine to make sure it is ready to go. I will post some pics with targets afterwards.

Or better yet, pop the kids with pellets/BB's (I don't care if they are plastic) and take care of the dog by either getting it to a no kill shelter, or if you have the capability, take care of it.
